Good solid result for SVG today good to see lap times and position improving during a race not ruined by cautions.

Gizzy just getting a feeling for the ovals, where he can tweak the car to get more speed and grip, wait till he finds the sweet spot.
Oh yeah. Also better equipment underneath him. Kaulig has been junk at times

Consistency wins races SVG has been very consistent being his first year at NASCAR in a antiquated car that is not familiar to him is impressive

SVG hates the Heat, so he did pretty good considering how hot it was. He’s getting better and he’ll become a NASCAR CUP CHAMPION, Y’all will see.

Normally coolsuits run through a dry ice box to cool the water. They have a tendency to freeze up cause that hot water issue. 888 (RedBull) in Australia (the teamSVG) drove for replaced that with and air conditioning style system with was more reliable. Not sure what they are running in NASCAR.

His car seems like it lacks power, from watching the restarts he obviously hasn't got the same speed as the front runners.
Nice Australian summer day... Drivers used to collapse at Adelaide 500 when it was first race... Think he was conservative after wrecking twice pushing harder...
So is Giz winning two races next weekend?
Should win Xfinity as long as there aren’t late race restarts or mechanical problems/fuel mileage. Cup will be more competitive and he will be in a worse car compared to his win last year. I think he’ll get top 10 if I had to guess. Maybe even top 5. Wouldn’t be shocked if he won, but Kaulig has rarely shown speed in cup this year. It would take a mighty effort.

It will be held this year at a time of year which potentially will be hot. Adelaide has the mantle of being in the driest state of the driest continent of the world, so racecar cabin temps can be stifling. Turn 8 is a 220 km/h (137mph) sweeping right hander.
Why race in the daytime heat? In a word; Conce$$ions. Those $20 bottles of water aren't gonna sell themselves...
I’m an expat kiwi and a big fan of SVG but I think he will never get a top five finish on the oval tracks. Road tracks are his thing

We are at the point of the year in Texas where it gets to 38 c but I still hate it😂 anything over 32 I’m not a fan of lol. Inside the car being 54 might be a tad much tho😂😂😂
