I'm only new to Nascar 2024 and already like it more than my local Supercars spectacle in Aus. We have 12 (22 races) meetings a year, spread over 10 months, compared to 40 races in Nascar. It's not enough racing to keep fans interested but I still watch every race. I now look forward with excitement, waking up every weekend, early hours, to watch Nascar live. My opinion It's the best motor show on earth. Very professional, hardly a mistake made in production, huge crowds, massive infrastructure, every camera angle possible inside the cars and out. Different winners each week make it more enjoyable. We have maybe 4 or 5 drivers in Supercars each year capable to be a champion. Not very exciting hey? So I'm wondering if 23XL and FRM are successful in their lawsuit, what will the outcome be for the sport? I'm guessing the cars will still be going around every week, business as usual. The only winners in all of this will be the Lawyers. I'm all for MJ stirring the pot on this.

... it is now becoming obvious that there are very many questions that are unanswered & need to be addressed under urgency, ...... if Nascar is to remain an entertainment product into the future. Some teams that have signed have admitted concerns ..... but , signature on a contract is binding ..... will they be given an opportunity to present their concerns @ the upcoming court hearings or should they even be acknowledged in any contract building moving forward, after all the litigant holds all the cards .... The danger going forward is that NASCAR becomes a deceased product & a new series could enter the space. So many questions !!!!!

Michael Jordan is the GOAT but doesn’t have the best track record on the administration side of things. Has deep pockets.though which I’d imagine he’s going to need taking on NASCAR.

I never was a fan of the charter system. I makes race qualifying useless, because the team is guaranteed to start. Why not send drivers like Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin or Kyle Larson home if they cannot have a qualifying speed?

My proposal: NASCAR and teams agree NASCAR rescind all charters, pays each individual charter cost paid, firsthand or from another team & in return create a Cup Series Owners Board of Governors (1 representative per charter relinquished) to essentially act as part of a joint board, comprised of owners, NASCAR subsidiaries, one representative, AND, possibly for the NASCAR Fan Council (wishful thinking), one representative per track ownership group (including individually owned tracks). They have the sole responsibility and authority to decide that which could affect either representative's interests. From scheduling to R&D to future media contracts to structural changes to operations, and so on... Any thoughts, anyone?

xFinity better racing than Nascar Cup

If SVG sat in the stands as a spectator for the rest of the season, he has already proven to everyone that he can race with the best of the best. Not too shabby considering he's had to adapt to 2 different vehicles, different to anything he has driven in the past, on tracks he's never been to, in styles he has never been on, against drivers he has no knowledge of, and no history of going against. Even in his 'controversial' races, he tried to race clean, and give old mate a chance to do the same, but old mate chose to fight and copped it.
