    When you consider that a G650 i believe is around 70 million USD, with all the same crew costs and probably at minimum a million dollars a year in fuel and maintenance/hanger fees these $175k vacation flights start to look like a hell of a bargain.

I knew it would be a lot, but this is even a lot more than I can do. I am wanting to go be with my husband, who just lost his mom, and had gone to visit her, and she passed away, and so I really want to try to get there to comfort and support him during this time. Good Video,
    However some points I want to address/Correct...
    I have been in the private charter industry for over 10 years, mostly sales.
    1.) I have never seen a state sales tax on any charter I have sold. I have worked for companies in Texas, Oklahoma, New York and California. Never charged a state tax. Sold flights in every state. Only segment taxes and FET taxes. I have worked for both direct operators and brokers.
    2.) There is no FET taxes on international flights. If you are out of the 225 mile zone, no FET applies
    Everything else, pretty spot on. Very well made.
    Enjoyed it!

Also not understanding rough costs before excepting a terrible low bid Is probably her complaint or thinking she didn't have to cover since no one knows. on the Taxes.. Also on taxes. . Like renting an apt with water and electric bills paid by land lord. Does this need to be explained.? Taxes on gas. Taxes on ticket sales parts parking which is figured in when giving a quote. She probably quoted the same..but was angry her taxes weee fiqured by the and feds. Imo

    If I go on a week long trip from North America to Europe and charter a private jet, does it mean that I get to choose whether the aircraft stays with me in Europe for the whole week (while the crew stays at local hotels for the whole week [or deadhead back to base or to another location commercially] which I would have to pay for along with ground/hanger/parking fees) until my return flight or will the private jet operator simply charge me to reposition the aircraft to the next location where it can be re-chartered to another customer (or sold as an empty leg)? Is it common to have to pay for all 4 legs (A to B and reposition back from B to A, then reposition A to B and then actual return flight B to A?) when chartering for a round trip?

      Nope. You are chartering the whole aircraft, so does not matter to the operator if it is 1 pax or 19. The only difference to cost would be if you had, for example, very specific and expensive catering requests that you wanted onboard. Probably with just 1 pax they would absorb the cost, but if you did the for all 19, they may add to the bill to cover that cost. People will be surprised how expensive catering a jet can be.

    • @morisnakus6108
      @morisnakus6108 3 года назад

      @@andiscott8470 It might be that you will need to land for technical stop with 19 but not with 1, so the price can be a bit different, because landing can add not only flight time, but de-icing, landing fees, refuelling fees, take off some tire, brake pads, engines resource. So 70K might become 90K. So it will be cheaper for you if your friends can split the bill, but more expensive if you keep your classmates around :)))

      Bill Gates has 2 x G650ER private jets, each costing per year about 2,5mil to operate at all expenses necessary, so he’s paying +/- 5mil$ per year to operate his two private aircraft, for about 400 flight hours per jet, per year. I’m sure he pays a little extra for the offset fees to look “green”. To operate a jet, there’s basically fixed costs and operating costs that both combine to make about 1,5mil to 2,5mil on the G650 series planes annually, depending how much anyone would fly per year.

    Why on Earth would I pay for the plane to sit around and the crew to do nothing for a week while I'm on vacation? The reason behind private fractional jet ownership is so that I can fly when I want, where I want. Major airlines don't charge me for the A350 to sit around while I'm on vacation for a week, so why would the private jet company?I have researched other private jet rental companies and there is no mention of paying these absorbitant costs for the help to sit around and do nothing. You simply book another private jet when you're ready to go home. And please don't try to solicit well-off customers to fly you around on private vacations like an escort.
