- 1. Stuff toebox full of plastic grocery bags - literally, you can't over stuff it with those kinds of bags so just keep adding until you can't add anymore!
2. Set your iron to LOW/DELICATE!!! VERY IMPORTANT!
3. Cover toebox with a shirt, preferably white or grey
4. Spray toebox area, but don't over saturate it! 4 or 5 sprays will be just fine.
5. Proceed to iron the toebox GENTLY understand that this is the underside of leather, IT CAN BE DAMAGED!!!
6. USE YOUR BETTER JUDGEMENT! If the shoe is over 6 years old, think twice about doing this. BUT WITH THAT BEING SAID...
BE EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS WITH THE SETTING AND WHERE YOUR IRON IS AT ALL TIMES WHEN PERFORMING THIS RESTORATION METHOD PLEASE!
I will not accept any responsibility if you ruin your shoes, as you can see I did it on these 2012 bred 4's with not a single drama so it CAN be done. Hope this is help to people who have been looking for this method!

LZYs- I know I’m a little late to this comment but flat black and flat white gives your project more of a matte finish leaving it less glossy
Crazy!!! I did the same method without ever seeing this video or other one doing this.. Great minds think alike haha.. I've done it this way and I have recently used angelus leather stretcher, it works for suede too.. I spray the stretcher on the crease toe box then put black Tshirt, bcus of the lint black suede colllects better using black, and spray it with water like u did and then iron the creases out.. its works Great 👍🏽!! U MISSED ONE CRUCIAL STEP THO!!!! U should add the decreaser pads inside ur sneaker under the toe box to keep its crease free and prevent crease from coming back !!
I have the same pair of 2012 bred 4 that i brought off ebay and the midsoles had been stripped of paint ready for a repaint , i purchased the angelus paints as advised have repainted the soles and within a day the paint cracked again straight away after less than 30 minutes wear and casual walking , i also noticed the nubuck / durabuck was also cracking around the toes , its clearly visible that they have hardly had any wear but unfortunately the cracking toes are now making them look used , do you have any suggestions on how i can fix these issues as i would like to save these sneakers .

hey man that paint job was very nice 👍!! now the question is how does it hold up for wear? i painted a pair of true blue 3's and the paint just won't hold for some reason
when i walked in the shoes the paint cracked off almost instantly

702prodigy that works too bro...if you doing the soles do you have the sole bright,paint sealers...and if not do u have sole protectors for the bottom...make sure you get the places where the crease can happen bc that will make paint peel on the midsole too

Good question - I've been doing that for while now - pretty much what I'm doing is getting rid of any excess paint from the brush to ensure no unwanted debris is mixed in with the paint. It also keeps the layers thin and even

Why were you wiping the brush on the tape to the left?
Bonus restoration tip - I'm discarding excess paint to ensure there is no unwanted debris on the brush - it keeps your layers even and thin.
