having worked at bergdorf's for years as my first after school job in the late 60's...this movie was so poorly done and it could have been so good. how do you do a documentary about it and NOT talk to the people who worked there? i have stories about it that would curl your hair. and to not even mention the reputation of the first floor women? one literally had the balls to try to get lucille ball thrown out of the store and she knew who she was! btw..i know who that bag lady woman was that bought the fur for cash. i was be the only person on my floor (bigi dept. when it first opened on 6) who would wait on her. she bought me a $100 snake skin belt (about $650 today) for being the only person to help her.
Wow! I also worked in Bergdorf's, started out in Perfumes as a stock girl, then transferred to BiGi at the same time (late 60's), and remember supervisor Mrs. Kleinerman. Norman and another guy ran BiGi Bites-us salesgirls weren't allowed anywhere near the counter. ITA, re not talk to those who actually worked there; I'm sure there are many of us still around. I also remember Mr. Goodman's secretary, Josephine, Halston, and Mary Douglas (Fur Dept). Good Times, Bad Times, I'll remember the Good Times.

If you, dislike this just don't see it
Hmmmm is is just me or is this trailer very off putting? Normally I like Isaac Mizrahi but some of the things he said in the trailer make me lose some respect for him. This movie looks like a glorification of all that is shallow, vapid and in really bad taste in the current bad ecomony. I will never be able to shop at Bergdorf Goodman for I am a Savers and second hand shop man but must I be looked down on because I'm not rich? Or am I looking too much into a trailer and need to lighten up?
