The green train's speed for K-type is 120KM/Hour and for Z-type is 160KM/hour. 160KM/hour is considered to be high speed train in many countries. In China, old green train called "slow train" is compared with real high speed train at 350 KM/ hour, or with dynamic train at 250 KM/hour. 30 years ago, the old green train only runs at 40 KM/hour, those old time train were long gone.

of course,we have 1.4 billion people.Some parts of china do have great infrastructure(like guizhou,Gansu),but people in these have a relatively lower income compared with other provinces.So old people tend to take the slow train for cheaper price.We are still a developing country.
