You may not be used to the taste, esp if you are more used to eating only spicy and salty or very sweet foods (like most foods are in common shops all over india, but that is just a preference that you developed over time. If you live in Japan for time , you learn about other more mild or subtle tastes, at least you learn to appreciate tastes that are very different , tastes that do not have so much spices in them, but have the lighter tastes and texture and smells. Consider that in india you do not even get real cream in pastries or backed goods in 99% shops, it is all oil based icing with a lot of sweet and artificial flavoring. In Japan people will not even touch such stuff. So the point is about quality.

You may not be used to the taste, esp if you are more used to eating only spicy and salty or very sweet foods (like most foods are in common shops all over india, but that is just a preference that you developed over time. If you live in Japan for time , you learn about other more mild or subtle tastes, at least you learn to appreciate tastes that are very different , tastes that do not have so much spices in them, but have the lighter tastes and texture and smells.
Consider that in india you do not even get real cream in pastries or backed goods in 99% shops, it is all oil based icing with a lot of sweet and artificial flavoring. In Japan people will not even touch such stuff. So the point is about quality.
