I am already in the club...but enjoying life...I am still doing what I was doing 40yrs ago... I was always a person who things by myself like a lone wolf.. I don't need attention or anything that has to do with watchful eyes of others Live simple and stay simple.....
I am 71 yrs old. I retired from my 40 hr job last year. At first it was a bit scary. Getting adjusted to a new way of life was harder than I thought. I found my acquaintances talking about health concerns even as they are healthy at their age. I found d that draining. I suppose the most difficult thing for me, was to find where I fit in, in my current path. I decided to continue working two days per week. My profession allows me to serve the needs of people who have a mental illness. I find it very rewarding to be able to help people find hope and meaning and get back to a healthy life. I found that at 71 yrs old I still have so much to give and so much to learn. Is not just what can do for others, it is also what I learn from them and how they enrich my life.
I am 76 years old, but keep very active, i just finish restoring a Antique horse sleigh, and built bird house for our purple martin club, this keep my mind and physical body fit ,I also do 30 minutes excercice every morning, I recognizes has we age it is even more important to take care of yourself, get involved, do volunteer work, get into some kind of club, we got a purple martin club. I appreciated the emphasis on gratitude and perspective when facing life’s challenges. It’s such a transformative approach to happiness.
