Useful video. Another idea you might wish to try. Get fibre glass wool insulation from your loft, pack it into the fuel holder and pour on 20ml of meths or bio-ethanol. You'll gain additional headspace which should then improve efficiency. Thanks for sharing.
Morning. Watched this one while ago, but needed another alcohol stove fix before year end. Using the other pan on top of the frying pan is a nice idea to help melt the cheese.....never done a cheese toasty this way so going to give it a go. Been putting it off too long, so but the bullet and just purchased speedster stove too. Best wishes for the new year. 😊
Greetings! thanks for the video. I have a rucas alcohol stove that is tall and I would like to know if it was possible to cut the inside and make it fit and will lower it down. do you think that will be a good idea?
Thank you so much. Even with the trangia. Just cutting enough of the side of the inside metal so they will sit flush. Just an idea before I take my pliers out. 😆
Hi J HeighteN. Just uploaded a video that may help you. Modding the BCB Cooker was easy, Don’t think it will work with the RUCAS but it should work fine with a Trangia etc. Will try and get a RUCAS as it looks very interesting. All the best
Hi Justin speedsterstoves.co.uk they are really inexpensive and work fabulously well. Brilliant bit of kit if you are in to ultralight camping. It’s a little cottage industry thing but I had no issues with them when purchasing kit. All the best
