just heared on the news here in israel that a new plan has been aprooved to open a second pavlion building next to the curunt one to contain the green room itself so it will free up between 2000 to 3000 seats in the main building and...the twist is they are actually going to sell tickets to the green room building for anyone wishes to be there next to all the stars and that means even more tickets!
Not the most expensive city in the world, but still quite expensive. Demand will push hotel prices up. I would use Airbnb, not hotels. Public transportation is cheap, and the venue is one or two stops on the train from mid Tel Aviv. A one way train from the airport will cost only 3.2 Euro. It'll be about 1.5 Euro from mid TLV. Eat street food, take low cost airlines (there are plenty) and you can do it for cheap. Always ask the taxi driver to use the meter. Now would be a good time to find an Israeli friend :)
this is the first eurovision since 2013 when the show not was hosted by the Capital of the country and the same date just like in 2013 the first semi final on the 14th of may the second on the 16th of may and the final on the 18th of may.
Israel is a small country. I read that the hotels raised the prices of the rooms by hundreds percents. There are cities like hertzliya or netanya that are 20-30 min by car. Enjoy the Eurovision 🇮🇱🎉
Netanya is definetly not 20-30 minutes from Tel Aviv (much further). I hope hotels won't be too greedy.. Some of them can reache NY's mid range prices (~$250) but I hope those who don't- won't raise it crazy higher. There are hostels & boutique places which are cheaper, also AirBB.
Thanks for this vlog! Very professional and positive. You are right when you say that Israel will do its best when what it’s got. Although I was in favour of Tel Aviv (my home city..) I do have to admit that I’m slightly sorry for what’s happened with the host city race and the situation in which Israel has been put through. If Jlem had been chosen then we would have got a wonderful venue as well.
Tel aviv is 14th in the most expensive cities list, jerusalem 17th...maybe the hall is not going to be big but i think that the eurovision village is going to legendary
Not in Israel, please! I seriously hope that the ESC won't be allowedin in a country that doesn't respect human rights, that discriminates people for religion, political or sexual choices! Tel Aviv is a bit different from the rest of the country. But brain fat-deposits Netta, that dull winner, immediatly said Jerusalem. That stupid girl, who has insulted all men (both straight as gay fans) should have not won and didn't deserve to win (although the song was quite amazing, but not at all the best). 20X a vote for the public is a complete non-sense , and made her victory. Cyprus or Austria (as well as others like Germany and Denmark, IMO) were much better choices. (and France, Albania, Czechia, Greece...). "I am your curl, stupid girl"
That's just plain ignorance. As an Israeli with plenty of LGBTQ+ friends and a bi-sexual myself *most* of Israel is even more gay friendly then 90% of European countries.
Tel Aviv is FANTASTIC

Finally Eurovision in Tel Aviv
Can't wait for Eurovision 2019 !

I read they are planning the largest eurovision city ever, with lots of events, costumes, past artists etc.
You will enjoy my beloved city Tel Aviv, prepare for endless parties!

Israel 🇮🇱
Greetings from Greece 🇬🇷
I love Greece.
I’m from Australia. I don’t know yet if Australia is going to be invited back again by the EBU and Israeli broadcaster for Eurovision next year
If it's up to the Israeli broadcaster, they're in for sure
I hope that Australia, as most of the countries except Russia, will refrain to go to Israel.
Ok for Tel Aviv ! Do you know the name of the winner ? 😜😜
It will be big very big, the venue is small but israel has planty of money to burn just on eurovision so don't worry.
Its gonna be 2 for 1 i guess... tel aviv gay pride and eurovision at the same week

You should visit Israel (not just Tel Aviv) and see how wrong you are.
