I rate it a tossup with the Stockholm 2016 one.. THose models and those paper outfits were unique!

Tonight I’m going to be showing my family esc 2021 for the first time (they were gunna watch it live with me, but, covid 😒) and this has me so hyped already for seeing their reactions I cant waiT

@@alexandrumic update because i know you’d appreciate it: my sister HATED ‘sugar’-as in her last place, nothing about it appealed to her bottom pick. I was like ‘omg, it’s alex’ 😂😂
also i keep loving ‘russian woman’ more every time to the point where i was tearing up a bit this time because it got me that emotional? wow. and my sister and brother both loved it too, as well as ‘shum’, even though my mom couldnt stand it. but her and i have always had opposite music tastes, so 🤷♀️ she doesn’t like måneskin either. my siblings at least enjoyed them even if it wasn’t in their top songs.
It would be good if we remember what happened with Dana International, the death threats she receibed and the attacked she suffered some years ago.
A lot of people acts like Conchita Wust was the first LGTBI member in won the competition, but she deserves been remembered despite her song, she was brave.
more importantly I think with the BLM and associated issues lately, it's noteworthy to point out that this year that little turd Tusse from Sweden had the nerve to talk about being the first solo POC to win ESC if he did. IGNORING Dana International, Loreen, and Netta. I have to assume he meant BLACK person. I already didnt care for his lame song and poor vocal performance in the final; that attitude (and his very rude comments about fellow Mello participant Anton Ewald) showed me he was an immature, thoughtless little troll.. He actively courted sympathy for his refugee status (and I think LGBTQ status?) but was perfectly willing to belittle other people.
@@ZakhadWOW I didn't know that. Well, you forgot anothers winners before them (and I think Netta can't be considerer as POC), but talking about races in the ESC like this... It's not any USA TV program, things are different here. The ESC had POC artists nearly since the beggining, and they have good positions or won withouth talked about that. For example, the first black singer was Millie Scott, 1966.

@@jenblack98 I will never "give a break" to a hypocrite like that. Sweden is one of the most enlightened places on the planet, and for him to disrespect LOREEN of all people for me is borderline unforgivable.. HE HAS NO EXCUSE>

I Love seeing new people discover Eurovision, i feel you should show them the face crack moment when Sweden thought he had won it and The Netherlands sweeped in an claimed the victory
"Opening ceremony" sounds like a separate event or program. (And sometimes there actually is a separate opening ceremony for the ESC a week before the final in conjunction with the red carpet [or turqoise carpet, or whatever].) Perhaps it would be more accurate to talk about "opening sequence" or "opening of the final".
Sweden openings and acts are great

Eurovision Song Contest was actually inspired by Festival of Italian Song in Sanremo which already existed since 1951. Also even if the show is perceived as a contest among countries it is actually a song contest among broadcasters members or associates to EBU, that is why non European countries participate. :DDD

You do know that that’s a personality trait not a racial thing.... also.. they are pretty shy in the first video... and need some time to adjust to having a camera shoved in their faces and not knowing what they are about to watch...
