Thank you! This was very helpful as that is one aspect I am working on. I would also like to understand in any abhinaya work, how do you keep those dialogues keep going in your head to make it not look like an exaggeration? Is there a way you would recommend for an effective practice on abhinaya?
I think you can work in two phases. One is to think of the dialogues the other is to move with music. Both these are in fact only intermediate steps. I personally feel that it is when you go one step deeper and actually define what the character’s state of being and state of feeling is and that would lead to the dialogue that they speak. So if you internalise the former two, the dialogue will be natural. Hope that helps.
