I'm terrible at being consistent when it comes to projects. I'll randomly get a new idea for a project and jump the gun to start it. Meanwhile, the other project I was working prior to that new idea, gets left unfinished. I hate leaving things unfinished. So, I'm trying to change that characteristic of myself. Thanks for supporting my content as always!
For anyone wanting a Windows version without setting up a VM (or for whom the VM option doesn't work), if you join the Discord at the link in the description, there IS a Windows native version in the works that is available for download there. It's pretty bare bones at the moment, and occasionally a little buggy, but it can still do most of the features of the Mac version, and in my experience, was a lot less hassle. 🙂

Thanks for the awesome video! I've been dying to find a way to randomize XD, so I appreciate your effort. Quick question: Why do we need both version of GOD? I saw in the vid that 0.9 cant randomize the abilities, but what does 1.01 lack that only the 0.9 version has? I watched the video twice over to see if I missed something so sorry if this has already been answered.
You're welcome, Christopher! As mentioned in the video, we need both versions due to the 'Extract ISO' feature being unstable or broken in version 1.01 of the GOD Tool. This is why I used 0.9 to extract the ISO and 1.01 to rebuild the ISO.
That's certainly interesting. Nothing was flagged as malicious for myself. It's definitely not malicious. There should be an option to keep the file anyway in your browser of choice.
You can get around it by going into your apple icon (top left), system preferences, security and privacy, and then general. Try to download again and then hit the unlock (lock bottom left in general) enter password and then open. :)

I only ask because the only macs in the house belong to my parents, and I have a pokemon folder on my moms computer which I used to randomize a copy of XD for myself, my mom spends most of her time on her computer, especially with the quarantine going on. It's cool if it's not possible, I just figured I'd ask.
No. Unless you use a Virtual Machine of Mac OS X on your Windows 10 PC. The randomize tool was built from the ground up and would need to be completely re-coded to work on Windows.
Ok so I tried making a new seed and everything works pretty damn well up until the pokemon species tab gets randomized. Last night I randomize pokemon species and it took roughly 3 minutes, I've been on my parents mac for almost 2 hours trying to randomize pokemon species but the tool just started freezing up. I've even been using a new clean rom for each seed. Any suggestions?
@@WiltshireTutorials I tried both versions, turns out even though I got the rainbow wheel of death everything still seemed to randomize. About to test out the new seed in a few minutes, I'll let you know if it worked. Also the patches tab related to shinies, does that mean you actually get to keep shiny shadow pokemon now if you enable the patch?
Oh trust me I've learned. I just spent the last 5 hours streaming the XD randomizer. I now have 2 Shiny Rayquazas thanks to the rando lol Man they suck trying to catch without masterballs XD

How come to randomize XD We need a Mac not Pc? Why can we randomize Colloseum for PC but not XD? That sucks us PC users need these XD Colloseum tools and randomizers too.
This is due to the tools needed to randomize only being coded to work on Mac OS X. Technically the Colosseum stuff is Mac OS X only as well. I just happened to find a way to compile 'randomizer packs' for Colosseum to allow people on PC to randomize too. However, randomizing XD is much different than Colosseum with how it works. I'm not sure I'd be able to make any of those 'randomizer packs' for XD. With that said, it would take a considerable amount of time in order to re-code the XD Tool in something that Windows understands. Essentially the XD Tool would need to be rebuilt and rewritten from the ground up.
Alright so I'm having a bit of trouble. I can get everything working but once the game starts it seems like the stats don't work. Like using super effective moves still only does a few HP of damage. Does anyone else have this problem? And if so, can anyone help? Thanks so much.
Wiltshire Tutorials seems to be doing it no matter what options I choose. I usually try and customize what Pokémon certain trainers have. Maybe it has something to do with that?
Unfortunately, it is Mac OS X only. The program was built from scratch and coded in such a way that would require a complete rewrite of the code. This would make it quite difficult and time consuming to port the program over to Windows.

My 1.1.0 randomizer takes forever to randomize when I click Pokémon moves, Pokémon types, Pokémon abilities, and Pokémon stats. Please help me.
Do one selection at a time. Not all at once. Let the program do its thing.

Also the XD randomizer seems to crash almost constantly on Dolphin 5.0-11617 is there any reason for this or does XD just suck to emulate?
I haven't had it crash at all. I'd have to do more testing to see if there is a specific version that causes issues

Yes. You should be able to keep shiny Pokemon, if you encounter one

Of course! Virtual Machine is recommended for most. Sierra is the minimum OS version. Anything above that will work just fine.

The only way to do so on Windows is a virtual machine with Mac OS X. There is currently no plans for a Windows version at this point in time.
