I am a permanent makeup artist in the North Dallas Tx area and I do microblading and microshading. You did an excellent job explaining the entire process, including pre-appointment recommendations and aftercare instructions! Great job!! So well done I will likely send this video to gals after I explain the process just so they can hear it from another woman’s perspective. 👍. I don’t care for microblading. It is more invasive and can only be done on particular skin types in order to have successful results. Microshading (or powder brows) is less invasive, works on all skin types and ages, and lasts longer than microblading. Strangely enough, most clients who get microblading return for their touch up wanting them shaded in. As for showering...I suggest washing your body first, keeping face out of the direct water current, and then washing hair quickly. Getting them a little wet while washing hair is ok, just keep it to a minimum and pat pat pat dry with a soft towel afterwards. Also, make sure your brows are COMPLETELY dry before applying cream to moisturize. I, personally, give my clients a high end tattoo cream. Also, only rice size amount of tattoo cream, don’t over moisturizer. Another tip besides NO PICKING is to be careful when you sleep that brows are not rubbing on your pillow. This will disturb pigment in the same way as rubbing them with something abrasive.
I had this done almost 4 months ago and I did the combo from the get go because he told me right off the bat that the Microblading I would not be happy with & he suggested I do the powered/ ombre.. I’m so happy I did that !!! I’m goin back this Thursday to touch up .. .. but best investment I ever did !!! Ty so much for sharing .. u look great !!!
Honestly, this was one of the most helpful permanent cosmetic vids I've ever seen! SO much detail of the whole process. I had my eyeliner done twice before, and really wanted powder fill eyebrows, but there were mostly just microblading videos available to gather info, and they weren't all that helpful. This powder fill video was SO THOROUGH and SO HELPFUL. I booked my appointment immediately after viewing. Haha! Thank you so much! You're looking gorgeous!!
I did the Microblading and added powder as well (I am 58 yo with light ruddy skin and sparse uneven brows). My cost = $700 (includes consult / process / touch up at week 5-8). I live in a Philadelphia suburb. This is a usual / fair market price for this area......Higher demand artists are reaching even higher. PS: I LOVE my brows post microblading/powder brow......for me, YES! I would recommend it.
Hi! I watched this video a few weeks ago & sent you a question that you did answer. I had powder brows done for the first time today & my eye liner touched up. I am very happy with the procedures I had done. It’s a process and I’m excited to see the end reason my brows especially. The brow procedure was practically pain free for me. The liner, not so much, I forgot how ouchy a few areas were but TOTALLY worth it & not so bad that I wouldn’t do it again. I am SO glad I watched your video first. Although my gal did an excellent job explaining the look right after, as in brows looking way way over enhanced & the color not the end result, if I wouldn’t have seen your right after pics, I would have been very surprised & probably a little freaked out lol. Thank you for making this video. Her after care instructions are identical to yours with the exception that tonight (day of procedure) is the only time in the first 14 days I can get them wet & with that it’s with gently wiping with a damp cloth using sterile water & blotting dry then applying the ointment. I’m super excited to not have to deal with brow tints & waxes & to get up & have my brows ready for the day. Thanks again Lisa.
New subie...just had mine done 10days ago in NYC paid $650 which includes phase 2. This was a great video and explained everything so so well. I got mine done yesterday for a video on my channel as well and although they look great, that initial darkness can be pretty scary! I'm going to explain the emotional journey you go through when recovering because its more then I expected. Thanks for such an informative video. You are great!
Wow, I'm impressed your microblading lasted that long. I'm switching to tattoo this time around so am hoping that lasts much longer on me, glad you love yours! :)
Your brows look great. I'm on the west coast and paid the same...I don't care for the "sliced" micro bladed look so went for what she called just tattoos. So they look similar to yours--filled in kinda solid and more natural looking. I will need a touch up but may just fill in with product. You always do a great job of explaining so thanks Lisa!!
It's so frustrating that there is so much variation in after-care. I was told to blot the first day only. At bedtime, the first day, I was instructed to apply the ointment. Then wash my brows once a day w/Cetaphil and apply ointment 4 times a day. I never rubbed only gentle moved the cetaphil over, from center outwards. Then gently remove cetaphil with water. Let them dry and apply ointment. No itching. I don't see scabs. I'm on day 8. I'd like to see real science to support whatever the aftercare is.

I had micro blading done and even with being numbed I could feel it and hear it and yes it hurt I won't lie and my right eye bled out for some reason that eye just bled same thing happened when I went for my touch up 6weeks later wonder if this would work for me.
I also did ombre on my 2 year visit but, I had some MICROBLADING added to the first part of the brow to make it look like Hairs. Love it and will keep doing both . Yes, the MICROBLADING does have a sound and a little bit of hurting but not bad. Thanks for your info.
May I ask you a question? Powder brows are more suitable for mature skin types. Not everyone is a candidate for microblading. When applied correctly, powder brows heal soft and lovely and much nicer than microblading, which can heal patchy.

Looks natural, hurts a lot less than the microblading, and lasts much longer. Also, inks have come a long way, just from 3 years ago, so when they fade, they did not look gray.
This is leading me to decide NOT to get it done. Appreciate the info.
I am glad you found this helpful!
After seeing this, I can tell this isn't for me. The color is way off on your brows and looks like faded ink pen.
Well I am glad you were able to figure out if you wanted it done or not.
Not sure why microblading was in capital letters❓
Haha. Our phones have a mind of their own. 😜
