If you are into vgm, you might like The Consouls - they turn a lot of vgm tunes on their head with their jazz covers and it's brilliant eg. Mute City from F-Zero in 7/4 as smooth jazz
Love this version. Always find it funny with all the facial expressions as if bursting a gut to reach high or long notes when it's more like a mellow whisper. Dramatic effect at it's best.

A good mix of the original and the 80s cover and their own spin.
Hey, now that's a killer mix! I really like the reverb on the guitar. Puts it above and behind me in the headspace. Vocals mix is also excellent. The whole thing. It's nice to hear an engineer that doesn't just try to crank everything up. Actually paints a picture on the sound canvas.

The two biggest things that consistently stick out to me are the best backup vocals of any group I have heard.. they really are good and they are used really well by whoever arranges the music. The second is the keyboard guy.. man I keep coming back to see him play.. talking about a "Funky little white dude".. he really gets into it and that is great.

Can't get enough of this cover! The opening bars remind me of Fresh 4 Wishing on A Star (1989) and plus Dean's drum intro from The Consouls' cover of Zelda Main Theme. The guitar part of this cover is SO good. This love isn't just tainted - it's downright dirty ;)
