You opened that up roughly but safely. I tried opening it even gentler and ended up separating the dark screen which is glued ON from the digitizer behind it. The computer would not separate along the side or top enough and my plastic tool didn't help. A word to the wise, be aware this is a hard case to open.
Yes definitely a hard case to open! and very easily mistakable to separate the actual screen glass from the frame!! so make sure to push your opener deep INTO the screen, and not wide. In case you separated the glass, you can actually and carefully glue it back to the frame. Just make sure that no dust enters the space between the glass and the LCD.
@@stormsm911 yes, the "deep" insertion is what I missed. The screen was barely lifted from the frame but once I pressed it back, it looked great and when I turned it ON, well, extreme screen distortion with severe flashing throughout the entire screen that resembled a fast moving fractal screensaver. Bottom line, destroyed it.
This is a super detailed video, you did amazing work! I want to change origianl HDD to SSD, is the HHD 3.5''? Does the case fit a 2.5'' SSD? thank you for sharing.
There is a HDD format 3.5. It is in a metal box. It is more logical to put ssd of m format.2. Motherboards with I3,i5, i7 processors have this connector. Need SSD M. 2 PCI Express

What is the type for m.2? Is m.2 nvme or m.2 sata?

What size is the SSD you used ? I think the M.2 format has several types of sizes. I have the same PC and want to do just the same thing

Can I add another 8GB to 2nd slot to expand to 16GB?
