While you are in SL, you should visit, 1. Colombo 2. Kandy 3. Anuradhapura/Polonnaruwa - Historical Cities 4. Sigiriya and Dambulla 5. Nuwara Eliya 6. Down South - Galle/Hikkaduwa 7. Jaffna/Trinco - If you have enough time
Mac, use metered tuk tuks always. Otherwise, they will scam you. But, it's always best to use Pickme App or Uber for tuk tuk rides. The fee is automatically decided according to the distance you travel in the app, so they can't over charge you.
Sinhalese and Tamil are the official languages of Sri Lanka. Sinhalese is the major community in Sri Lanka and Tamil is spoken by Tamils ( Jaffna and nothern part of the country have a Tamil majority ) and Muslims in Sri Lanka.

You can extend your visa for another 60 days that’s what I did when I went to Sri Lanka back in 2017. They give you 30 days then for extension they give you another 50 or 60, you have to go to Borella for visa extension 🙂 been to Sri Lanka twice and that’s what I did but I honestly don’t remember whether it was 50 or 60 days.

You should go to Independence square and also visit the Capital city Kotte...with the Houses of Parliament in the middle of a lake , go pass parliament..best around 5.30 pm you will see thousands of water birds roosting i.from Ibis, Pelican huge Painted Stork etc...take a walk.inside near Waters Edge hotel...you will be enthralled with beauty...you can walk amonst well paved path ways where you may even spot a Wild Fishing Cat ..yes.

The pedestrian bridge is part of a new financial district/city (called Port City) that the government is building on reclaimed land from the sea. That's not desert but just sand, like at a normal beach. Most of that will be covered in buildings in a few years
Temperature in colombo allmost same whole year avg about 30c (night 28 , day 32) Its same for whole country except central hills (lowest about 10c) ❤ from srl lanka
Great video. Really enjoyed free flow content. I have not been to SL in 9 yrs. I am originally from there, but live in US now. Wonderful to see all the new developments. You are doing it the right way by staying in control of what you want to do. Tuk Tuk drivers and people you meet on the streets may have good intentions to help you explore, but it's best to follow your own inspirations. If you do your own research on google or youtube, you may find lots of interesting things to do. There are lots of places for sight seeing and food adventures. I believe Raja Bojun is the biggest buffet for Sri Lanka food. That might be worth to try different Sri Lankan flavors. If you like high end seafood, Ministry of Crab is top notch. Diyata Uyana/Wates Edge is also nice place. Also, if you like mix of Western and Sri Lankan buffet, Cinnamon Grand Hotel will be a good choice. They have good layout of food for lunch and dinner buffets, one of my favorites places to eat.
Bro use pickme or uber app to get an idea about the tuk prices. Also always use tuks with digital fare meters on them so you can see the fare for your trip. you won't get ripoff by them.

The pedestrian bridge is part of a new financial district/city (called Port City) that the government is building on reclaimed land from the sea. That's not desert but just sand, like at a normal beach. Most of that will be covered in buildings in a few years

Great video. Really enjoyed free flow content. I have not been to SL in 9 yrs. I am originally from there, but live in US now. Wonderful to see all the new developments. You are doing it the right way by staying in control of what you want to do. Tuk Tuk drivers and people you meet on the streets may have good intentions to help you explore, but it's best to follow your own inspirations. If you do your own research on google or youtube, you may find lots of interesting things to do. There are lots of places for sight seeing and food adventures. I believe Raja Bojun is the biggest buffet for Sri Lanka food. That might be worth to try different Sri Lankan flavors. If you like high end seafood, Ministry of Crab is top notch. Diyata Uyana/Wates Edge is also nice place. Also, if you like mix of Western and Sri Lankan buffet, Cinnamon Grand Hotel will be a good choice. They have good layout of food for lunch and dinner buffets, one of my favorites places to eat.

Aluthgama is a nice town lots of cheap hotels on the beach coffee shops restaurants. Near bentota.
I have noticed that the people in Sri Lanka in general are more shy than people in other countries that Mac has visited in his past videos

Bro use pickme or uber app to get an idea about the tuk prices. Also always use tuks with digital fare meters on them so you can see the fare for your trip.

12:22 The language what there speaking here is called 'Tamil' .. It is one of the two official languages in srilanka mostly spoken by Tamils and Muslims in the country.. Sri Lanka's population is comprised of 75% sinhalese and 24 percent Tamil speakers🙏

Welcome to Sri Lanka bro here is a few tips for traveling we speak officially two languages Sinhala and Tamil those boys Muslim ones mainly speak Tamil not Sinhala majority of Sinhalese speak the Sinhala language so in Colombo Muslim and Tamil percentage is higher than Sinhalese but you can notice traveling inner country there is the Sinhala language is mejer communication way except north and northeast
