Tiny 6061 lavaliers impressed Simon Hayes, production sound mixer, on the musical Yesterday (2019)

Simon Hayes uses DPA's subminiature 6061s (as well as miniature 4061s) to capture the amazing music in the film. The mics were popular not only with the production sound mixer but also the movie director, as well as the costume director.

I use the DPA 4061 on all Mahogany sessions. Both for vocals and inside the acoustic gtr to get the realistic tone of the acoustic without having to rely on just the a D.I. Can’t wait to try the DPA 6061.
