So, great tech review, but you didn’t provide a recommendation for what unit you recommend… and that’s what we’re looking for.

The thing that bothers me about buying any major appliance is that they don’t build them to last (I personally believe this is purposely done just to get you coming back over and over again, and there’s a good chance the same people own the separate companies anyway, so switching brands doesn’t make much difference… but “they don’t make things like back in my day” old man rant aside, do you know of anything in the portable cooling world that isn’t built out of complete garbage? thansk
    oops, I did a popeye pronun-ski-ation there😂

if you are running your AC to remove humidity from your house to evaporate water into your house to cool your house then you are spending more money then if you just ran your AC (conservation of energy; always waste heat(energy)).

That’s not entirely true. The AC is only runs when the temperature reaches a certain set-point; the thermostat doesn’t care at all about humidity (unless it’s one of those “smart” ones). So the dehumidification is an additional beneficial effect that occurs during the normal operation of an AC’s heat removal. Also, my electric bill, and AC operation hours per day show a decrease in operating time and cost too. I discuss that in another video - it’s linked in the description.

That is not pertinent to what I said.
      Which video?
If you install fans/ceiling fans in your house you can turn up your thermostat and lower your electrical bill and 'FEEL' cooler. I think this is more akin to what you are experinecing.
The economic question is how much are you spending on fans, coolers; etc compared to the money you are saving on your electic bill.@@TheCuriousEngineerChannel
