I like the fact that Doopliss went from trying to keep his name a secret from Mario to constantly reminding Beldam his name.
i mean even if i could be exploited by something as simple as someone saying my name, the only instance id tell someone my actual name is when they start calling me mean stuff
While nearly everyone responds with “Let’s leave these (whatever they call them)” while trying to talk to the KO’d shadows, Vivian is different and actually apologizes to them afterwards.
It would make sense for Vivian to say that since they're siblings. Vivian still care about them even Beldam overboard anger
But screw you, Doopliss.
I feel like it's only natural to have Vivian out for these three so that she can get some revenge.
I would always give Vivian the "honour" of defeating Beldam as a little payback for how she had been treated.
I gave Vivian the honor of finishing off the shadow queen
Vivian part is my favorite because I love seeing her getting an opportunity to get back at Beldam for mistreating her.

This is an expression used to refer to a character so dishonest they deserve a guilty sentence-- some outlets say it can even refer to saying they deserve a death penalty, even. Which, damn, French Flurrie *really* didn't mince words. "louts" doesn't hit anywhere near as hard.
Vivian fits the most out all of them
Mario gave them the courage and strength to finally stand up to Beldam

Picture a Chomp partner who often makes food-related comments or comments on how he's going to eat someone he doesn't like -- usually an enemy they're about to fight.
In this case, right before the fight against the Shadows, he comments, "Ah, nice! I was hoping to snack on a hag popsicle! Let's eat!"
What would he even do. Like imagine a chain chomp as a partner

1. Chain Crash: Swings on his chain and slams into an enemy for 4 damage at base.
2. Guard Dog: Draws in enemy attacks for 2 turns and boost his defense, but only for the first.
3. Hangry Assault: Continuously chomps an enemy and gains one hp per hit landed.
4. Wreaking Ball: Charges into all enemies ignoring defenses and restoring two hp per enemy.

I always use vivian to fight her sisters.
As much as it feels satisfying for Vivian to get back at Beldam for her bullshit, I really don't like how Vivian is apologetic to Beldam after the latter was beaten since Beldam still verbally abused AND gaslit Vivian into feeling terrible. Vivian did state that she didn't want to stay with her family any longer and wanted instead to continue traveling Mario, so what I instead think Vivian should say is here at 6:36 is, "...Come on, Mario. Let's go." It would show that Vivian is much happier traveling than Mario and that Vivian wants nothing to do with Beldam anymore.
Victims of emotional abuse tend to have complicated feelings towards their abusers, especially when they're family

I feel like at the very least, she could've given us some better insight on Marilyn by apologizing to her instead of to Beldam (who was very clearly the abuser in the relationship). Even Goombella implies that Marilyn might not actually be bad, just a follower (and kind of another victim, given some of Beldam's lines).
I don't mind Vivian wanting to apologize because she's a kind person in the first place and still considers them family... but no way in HELL does BELDAM deserves that apology when ALL she's done is berate Vivian and punish BOTH of her sisters for the slightest failure.

@@Loner098 I agree, I feel like even if they wanted to keep the approach of Vivian being too nice not to give her sisters a second chance, it at least needs to be changed so that Beldam has no choice but to comply in the first place; most likely because with Vivian now being the stronger of them, Marilyn can also likely stand up to the abuse.
(That, and Beldam should live with the guilt that had she not been an absolute bitch, her plan would've gone exactly as planned)

I’m not sure if there’s any unique dialogue with all partners vs Grodus and Bowser with Kammy. If not, then I guess the Shadow Queen is the final one.
I'm pretty sure the partner does speak in all three parts of the "not final bosses" (meeting Grodus, defeating Grodus & meeting Bowser, defeating Bowser and noticing Grodus is missing).
Whether it's important differences or not, idk. I really only saw one with Flurrie and two with the Yoshi Kid.
Everyone who mostly used Vivain for this cutscene and fight say I.
