I just finished this game today, and I came back to your review to leave a comment about it cuz your review was the first one I watched about it. 😉
As a newer otome player (early 2023), I'd say I agree with your overall assessment. It was good, but not the greatest. It was a fun easy game to play, which was nice after playing Café Enchanté's heavier story. 😅
My best boi hands down was Kamui! He was the only boy I found myself saying aloud several times to my TV, "I love this man!" His teasing ways with the MC, his heart-warming altruism, the banter with his grandpa, even his bad ending CG. Pure Perfection! 😘 He was so darn loveable! ❤ I just want to give him a big hug RIGHT NOW! 😂

W.I.T.C.H, Sailor Moon, Tokyo Mew Mew & Winx Club were all my jam in the 2000s, and I immediately had to subscribe hearing you mention these gems. The heroes in this game remind me of Sailor Stars from Sailor Moon with the way they change from male to female during their transformation. Yukinami sounds like Kish from Tokyo Mew Mew and I LOVE me some Kish. It's disappointing to hear that his route left you feeling nothing happened. I do enjoy a fast-paced game, but I also enjoy learning about the character's personality and what makes them tick. I'll probably get this game once I've gotten through my backlog of otome games and when it goes on sale.
I think this game struggled to find a good balance between making the plot progress at a good pace while trying to give depth to all the love interests. I think there were just too many characters to really flesh out the story. It had such a unique premise, though, with the magical girl theme! I hope you have a great time playing it when you get the chance. 😊
I'm curious. Have you ever considered checking out the Otome game, "London Detectives Mysteria"? (I just found your channel yesterday so I'm not sure if you've mentioned it in past videos, but in case you haven't, here's my pitch).
It's an older game (made in 2009 I believe?) that's set up in 1800s England and centers around a gigantic mystery that's prevalent in all the plots (some more than others). Each character is related to some fictional detective of British literature (for instance two of the suitors are Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson's sons, you can be friends with Ms. Marple's granddaughter, etc) and the art is just absolutely stellar. Not to mention the writing follows the flavor and flow of a British novel with all the grammar and descriptive language, and there's one character that talks with a heavy East End accent that I found to be an absolute joy to read that really solidified the atmosphere of the game to me (but no more spoilers!). Word of warning though, the game is SUPER long, which I kind of contribute towards it's writing style, so if you don't like long games with a lot of text to read through, I wouldn't recommend it. If you do however, and your a fan of British mystery literature, then I would highly recommend it. I found it to be very enjoyable :)

I've seen some harsh reviews for this game, but yours is fair. I'm definitely enjoying the game because of its unique premise and world and glad to see you enjoyed it. I hope people don't dismiss it just because it's not highly rated by reviewers.
I think this game has it's own unique charm that shouldn't be overlooked! It's a shame because I feel like some players may go into this game with expectations for it to be at the same level as other top otome games like Piofiore and Collar X Malice, but this game is completely different. I just hope people give it the chance it deserves!

I don't see myself trying Paradigm Paradox in the near future mostly because of low budget 😅 but your opinion was very interesting and I also think that the theme with magical girls is very unique.

It's definitely a unique concept! I haven't played Even if Tempest yet but it's on my radar. I have a massive backlog right now but I do want to check that one out eventually 👀

I know this game has a lot of negative reviews but the magical girl stuff and the fact that there are sooo many routes makes me interested either way. I meannn people loveee taisho alice but it had more things I didn't like than things I did. So I would rather play it and see how it goes for myself. Hyuga is definitely the most attractive one out of all of them for me as well. Also, will you be reviewing birushana and lover pretend?
Nice review. You know it's funny how at the end you recommend watching the prologue of the game if you're still on the fence, I actually make a habit of that now of games I might get. Granted I've yet to get a full fledge otome game (closest being Our Life: Beginnings and Always, but that only had one LI and they just brought in a 2nd LI for DLC, and working on a 3rd), but I am still hoping to do that. It's just hard though because there's been a surplus in games I want now, but being the poor person that I am, I am having to be selective since money is always tight and needs come before wants lol.
I will probably keep this game on my radar because any game that gives off a mystery vibe appeals to me. Like something must be up if half the LIs are 'villains' lol. Also I am an avid Magical Girl fan too (Moonie for life baby lol). I was a teen when Sailor Moon came to the USA finally and being a clumsy blonde myself, of course I latched onto the main char immediately lol. I did watch the first 3 seasons of the Winx Club, but I was more into Japanese Anime at the time, so besides Sailor Moon, I was more into Tokyo Mew Mew and Wedding Peach and Magic Knight Rayearth (I they have magical transformations, so I counted it lol).
Out of the char designs, Ibuki's caught my eye the most, so hearing he's your fav villain route, that does give me hope lol.
It's so nice now that we have such a large selection of otome to choose from now 😊 If you're interested in this game I would maybe keep it on your radar and periodically check the Nintendo store. They tend to do quite a few sales so you might be able to get this for a good deal!
