    One question - what’s the best way to pick out public lakes and find bream?

    • @FishYanker
      @FishYanker  Месяц назад

      Thank you. This is a great time to look for bream there are a lot of them on spawning beds right now and a lot of the bream can be fished from the bank. You can walk around the banks, fish close to the shallows and then out away from the bank a little. take your time and see if they will bite. They will bite better on certain days but if you find there beds they will definitely bite because they don't want nothing in there. almost all reservoirs have bluegill here in Arkansas, Not sure about your location but you can check with your local fish and wild live web site. Hope you find some good ones.

    That Eye design came about by The Bass Professor ( Doug Hannon )years ago, to help with casting distance by stopping what's called line slap, or the line slapping the rod. It also controls the line not becoming trapped on the reel side of the Reduction guide.

    Your videos are great! Can you answer me this….Why do you use jig heads so much? Is it a weight/hook combo or does it sit better than a traditional hook? No doubt what you are doing works but im just getting back into bream fishing and need to increase my results

    • @FishYanker
      @FishYanker  Месяц назад

      Thank you. The main reason is so I only have one object below the slip bobber, easier to cast endless tangles. Also a flash of color to draw attention. And probably my favorite reason to use one is I have a handle, easy hook release. I have nothing against traditional I did it for years this just works great for me for what I'm doing now.

    Today is Thursday May 9,2024. Hello ! I was looking at the ACC crappie stix 8 foot super grip grip spinning rod . Would you recommend me to buy that rod for casting for shells crawler and red ear and bluegills and crappies from the bank using live night crawler and live minnows and live cricket as my baits to catch them please if not which size ACC crappie stix spinning rod would you recommend me to buy please. May the lord be in your heart today to answer all of my questions please and may the Lord continue to bless you and your family and your RUclips channel in 2024 please 🙏🙏 ! You’re my favorite RUclipsr. Can you please do a little more casting for shells crawler and red ear and bluegill from the bank RUclips videos in 2024 please 🙏

    • @FishYanker
      @FishYanker  2 месяца назад

      Well I also have a 7 ft ACC crappie stick similar to the 8 ft one that you're talking about, but I do not recommend it for bluegill and shell cracker. The Acc 6 ft 2 dock shooter rod that I'm using in the video, I would recommend. It's a easy casting rod with a good back bone that will work really good from the bank or boat. God bless you and thank you

      @Fishyanker I seen in a comment that you didn’t recommend the 8ft ACC crappie stick compared to the one you were using.. my question is what’s gonna be the difference in 1 foot ? I do bank fishing all the time and I’ve been trying to find the right ACC Crappie stick to be able to cast far enough as well as it being dependable if something big grabs it.. lol trying to find the right reel as well

    • @FishYanker
      @FishYanker  Месяц назад +1

      So far out of the two that I have tried. I like the 6ft 2 dock shooter. It cast really good and has a little more backbone to set the hook. The other rod I'm using is more for jigging vertical. It has more flex in the tip. I recommend the dock shooter for casting from the bank. it does a really good job. They also have dock shooters in longer lengths.

    • @FishYanker
      @FishYanker  2 месяца назад

      Yes sir. shell crackers eat snails in the water that are evasive and have parasites. Shellcrackers crunch them up. The Red ear name Iam not 100% sure of but I'm pretty sure it comes from the red line around its ear on the end of a gill plate. They are some strong fighters. Lots of fun.
