    Thank you for making these videos. While there are other keyboard youtubers I enjoy, your content is just so calming and enjoyable. You're concise yet personable, calm yet passionate and kind and honest. I'm easily overwhelmed when in conversation and this is just the perfect blend of peaceful and communicating. When I can't watch anything I can still watch your reviews and modding videos. I love it just as much as the qk65, its so pretty and elegant ^^ I love all the extra items they included as well(and woah they gave you SO MUCH FOAM and gaskets). This keyboard sounds amazing, no extra modding is required :D its so good to be considered an entry-level board. you really made me interested in this keyboard. I come from an underwhelming experience with a gmmk pro and would love to get a more refined keyboard like this qk75 seems to be. I'll definitely check your setup here...love the sound

    • @ricecloud
      @ricecloud  Год назад +1

      I was heavily considering to got a closer look at the gmmk pro until I hear so many complaints from other people and I really don't like glorious approach of charging extra for upper cases, if you want to get a different color.. i think it's overpriced! so i stayed away from it. I think you can't go wring with the qk75 you get so much value for such a price!

    • @vahn_of_the_art
      @vahn_of_the_art Год назад

      @@ricecloud the main downside is by far the sound. It's not bad...with a tape mod you kinda get a better sound profile overall but it's dull...with or without the tape mod the sound is kinda dull. In fact, what hyped me the most about your video is the sound...I'm really digging that creamy deep low sound but I'm more of a 'tactile guy' so I was wondering whether I could get the same sound profile with a tactile switch or not. Anyway really a nice video! you got me subscribed!

    • @ricecloud
      @ricecloud  Год назад

      @@vahn_of_the_art i don't use tactile switches that often, i think you benefit from them the most when you use them on a stiffer keyboard, to get a clean and precise feedback. perhaps the qk80 is a better choice because you can choose between a pcb with or without flex cuts. i am by no means a specialist on this field, because i do enjoy tactile switches, even on more flexible boards. just wanted to put in my thoughts x)

    your build of the QK75 is my absolute favorite! I just put in my order today. I actually wanted to ask about your stab modding/lubing technique. For the wire, are you only lubing the contact point where the bend of the wire clips in and filling in the stem inside with the syringe, and not coating the short ends of the wire themselves? I saw you lube the contact point in the housing and another person lube the stem hole where the wire goes so I wanted to try these new tactics, but I still lubed the wire like I have seen in other videos and done before, and my stabs ended up rather overlubed. Thank you for the video!!

    • @ricecloud
      @ricecloud  Год назад +1

      glad you like it! i myself still have to find the sweet spot for xht, i apply the lube on the wire rather than inside of the stem, i feel like i have more control that way. i lube the housing part with xht as well, where you clip in the wire. i add more lube when necessary, with the syringe right into the stem

      yw! i cut off the middle part of the pe sheet where the stabs will be, bc i was going to stick on the teflon tape, which you can see right after the cutting. the middle part would interfere with the tape and the stabs won't sit flush on the tape with the pe sheet in the way. so you def should cut it off. hope that was understandable ✌🏼

      In my experience, POM plate sounded more in term of "poppy" than PC and PC plate is more muted than POM and FR4. While FR4 is a mix of PC and POM, not so muted but not that poppy.
      For typing feel (from soft to sturdiest): PC - POM - FR4. FR4 is the sturdiest of those 3.

    Hello, I enjoyed the video. The keyboard sound in the video is so good. Can you tell me if there is a correction effect or if it is the original sound? I'd also like to know more about the list of keyboard builds. Can I get some information about the overall keyboard build, such as what kind of lubrication was used..! I hope you have a good day today too.

      hi there, i haven't edit the sound whatsoever. as for lube, i cannot tell you that, since i bought the switches lubed already. but i am pretty sure they used krytox 205g0 and 105

    When you say that the board featured is a prototype, does this mean that the sound could change when the keyboard is available to the public? I really like your videos and keep up the good work!

    • @stefanusrianto8781
      @stefanusrianto8781 Год назад +1

      usually the sound won't change. The difference between prototype and real ones are usually in terms of QC, color matches, workability, and maybe stuffs that could make it unable to be built (such as off center screw positions, miss-cut plate or PCB, oversized/undersized PCB or plates, etc)

    Q: Once you remap keys, configure macros, etc via VIA wired, can you still use them once connected via wireless/BT?

    • @qwertykeys2119
      @qwertykeys2119 Год назад

      the trimode pcb is not based on QMK hence cannot use via - will need to configure it on QK Config and then the keymaps will be memorized on board

      to be honest, i haven't had to set up wireless modes by myself, since these were already configured on my prototype. But if there's something unclear then you can seek for help on qwertykeys discord! :)

    Hello, i have a very small/brief question about the video.
    I found myself doing a similar build, just that you have stated you used "Full foam: Case, PCB, Plate"
    Now case foam is self explanatory, But what did you mean by PCB "AND" Plate, i know there is a foam that goes between the pcb and plate.
    I really liked the sound of the keyboard i just wanted to understand better on what u meant by pcb and plate.
    i apologize for the late comment, i am very interested in this build.

    • @ricecloud
      @ricecloud  Год назад

      hey there, no problem! by "pcb" i am referring to the pe sheet which goes directly on top of the pcb, and the plate foam, on top of the pe sheet. i hope that was helpful, let me know if there is anything else.

    What do you think of the silver weight on top of the Milky White case? I'm stuck between a sandblasted silver or dusk weight.

    • @ricecloud
      @ricecloud  Год назад

      i myself do not like the look of dusk and chroma in general, there are only less than a handful keyboards i actually like chroma on it. so i would chose sandblasted silver over dusk, i don't think that dusk harmonize with the milky white case. but that is just what i think. at the end it comes down to ✨preference & taste✨
