Hello! Great video! I'd advise everyone to open this keyboard from the top rather than from the bottom side, just use a plastic pick or credit card to separate both housings, take your time doing this so you dont break any plastic along the way, and you should be good. This will mainly help those who own the tri-mode model, as the switch that allows you to choose between modes, can easily break when opening this keyboard from the bottom. Really recommend this one for begginers who want to get into modding, you'll have some challenges along the way, but those will prepare you for reality if you decide to step into the rabbit hole!
this seems like such a tedious process. props to you for filming it all! i will definitely refer to this video when modding in the future. just one question: where did you get your lube from? thank you so much!
Thank you! I hope it will be helpful! I bought the lube on AliExpress. I don't know if it's legit or not (I bought it from a vendor with the most sold lube). I would suggest it to buy it from a official keyboard online shop if you can.
just a tip on removing tm6680 stabs, if you were to mod the board, you can remove the stabilizers last from the back of the plate. just push the lips then push. Way easier than removing it from the front.

Your videos have such a great vibe! I have a question about the colour of the case - is the pink more a "warm" pink (eg slightly orangy salmony) or a "cold" pink (slightly magentaish or lilacish) in real life? Or is it neutral? Your videos have tempted me to get this keyboard but I'm not sure if I should get a pink or a white, since I'm not sure if the pink will clash with the colour of my favourite pink keycaps.
Thank you! Sorry for the late reply. I don't want to give wrong information here, but for me the pink is more towards neutral pink, looks like a pale pink if that makes sense.

sorry i know I'm pretty late but if you were using durock plate mounted stabs only thing you need for it to sound nice is dielectric grease and that's it. durock stabs require less modding or else they'll get stuck, i learned from experience f
Hi, thanks! I know that there are better plate mount stabs options, however I want to mod the stock stabs on my budget board for people with a tight budget, so they can see how the modded stock stabs can sound like after the mod (and if the mod is worth it). :D
i think you've put too much fabric tape in your stabs that's why it got mushy. i experienced the same before. as you can see, you had troubles putting it in the stem. just try to put moderate amounts in it enough to cover the lower contact points. but man, those gaterons are fire
Do you think that, given all the mods you did, using tactile instead of linear switches would still give a really similar sound while typing? Thanks :)
lovely video, i've been watching every single one of them since i found this one. how's the keyboard holding up after a few months? i've debating between TM680 vs Feker ik75 for my build, what's your opinion?
Hello, my friend, I'm a manufacturer of tm680. Thank you very much for purchasing my keyboard, but you removed the shell in the wrong way, so the column broke. The correct way is to remove the upper cover first, then unscrew the screws of the iron plate, and then remove the iron plate and PCB. This is the correct way
Hi, I am not sure if I understand you correctly, but there is no way to open the upper case, without removing the screws from the trays first. The plate is clipped into the the inner edges of the upper case and the plate is screwed onto the trays. In order to open the keyboard, I have to remove the screws first. I would say that the pins are not even necessary in order to hold the keyboard together, the screws are enough imo, so I don't really mind :)
Amazing build! I've been watching for a while now and I just was wondering if you have any tips for editing (other than having a good camera to start with) since your vids are so clean and nice. Thanks!
Its so pretty and sounds so nice! I really want to get this keyboard, but I'm super bummed there's no print screen key. This may be a dumb question, but is there a way to switch what an individual key does? Like could I change one of the side three keys to be something else? ❤

PC plate generally makes the keyboard have a deeper sound profile than if you were to use alu or brass, though I'm not sure if brass is even an option for TM680 Use painter's tape for tape modding, or use tapes that generally don't stick well/meant to be peeled. If you want to throw caution to the wind; buy Durock B/W/Pandas, or JWK/Everglide V3 Plate-mounts (they're the ones that are colored black, transp, or blue). Make sure for JWK/Everglide stabs that you find plate mounts though, as screw-ins won't work on the TM680 (also sorta applies to durock as they have V2's that won't work as they're screw-ins). And, as the Durock B/W/Pandas are more readily available, I recommend those. Durock or JWK/Everglide are generally trusted brands, and offer good bang for buck, as opposed to Cherry plate mounts, that often cost twice the amount Don't take my words as gospel; there's still a deeper rabbit hole to venture into in the custom keeb realm. But if you have any questions, there are many communities to accommodate you, we don't bite (most of the time)! And, if you have some extra questions, I might be able to answer them, though none specific to the TM680, as I personally have no experience, or have any plans of buying that kit for now
No problem at all! DeemZ did already a very good job at providing you the information you asked for :D I used three layers of masking tape. Through the link in the description, you can buy the pc plate on it's own, but maybe the option is not available in your region? I think the stock stabs are ok. Since I never had really premium stabs, I cannot really tell if they are good or not. If you intend to holee mod the stabs, then I would use a thinner tape than I used in my video and maybe go for something with a smoother surface. Unlike the tape mod, you should use stronger adhesive tape for the holee mod, since the lube can mess them up if the tape is not strong enough.
Hello! I keep wondering, by gateron black do you mean the black ink v2s? Im not sure what switch that is specifically because i saw yellow huhuhu It sounds so good!!! 🥺
hey, I don't think that i will make a review on the acr 68, however i did make a video about the acr pro alice plus, i think build wise, they are very similar.
