I picked up my white one in November last year, waiting time of six months but so worth it. Beautiful to drive, multiple long distance up the coast and back trips plus loads around the city. The power of this as you go through the gears will put a smile on your face all the time. Very very worth the money, I hope to have this for a long time. Great video, picks up on all the good points - I've just Googled the dash mat, that's my next purchase :)

I’ve been looking at this car for over a year. I watched this video and I’ve ordered one now. This is a brilliant video. Thank you!! (The car salesman said “oh we have a GT coming in grey but it is a manual, and I said “I want a manual”. His eyebrows shot up and he said “you do?” When did driving a manual become so weird? 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ve always been a manual driver. I always will be. Thanks again. The best and most enjoyable Picanto GT review!!

The feature that tells you to change up, my Swindon built Honda Civic hatch has that, I like it, basically if you're doing more than 700 RPM and there is a taller gear available it'll illuminate it's little up arrow. Mind you, fall below 697 RPM and it will tell you to change down. It's just a fuel economy gimmick, but I like it.

Great review i am in Victoria, Australia and I am waiting for my picanto gt to arrive i was a bit worried about the pull of the car especially uphill your the only one to explain and show its full capabilities, i settled on the picanto gt for its simplicity its petrol usage (91ron) it price as well and its fun factor being a manual also im nearly 50 years old don't need an animal of a car anymore i need reliability, simplicity and inexpensive parts in the future if needed although I hear the gt is good for many years and 7 year warranty so time for a change also will hold its value if i want to sell in a few years, im 5"11 in height have just enough head room over 6 foot would be tight fit but im ok, i would like to see if could put lower front seats that sits a bit lower but not a deal breaker as I have just enough head room, i will also buy the exact same dashmat, was it easy to stick on. Thankyou for the great review hope to see your future review on the gt

Hello mate, you'll not be disappointed, and enjoy the anticipation of it's arrival, it will be worth it. You'll have no problems with the seating position and your height either. I'd be very surprised if you need to look at the seat height. Dashmat is spot on and due to the design, in relation to the Apple carplay screen, I've not stuck it down, it's held in place on it's own, doesn't move at all. If you put the car on its roof that might change but not recommended haha. Thanks for watching :-)

Hi, the clutch feel I've given no thought to which suggests it is spot on to be fair. Not noticed it being light or heavy. I run long distances and if I'm not noticing my shoes at all, I'm thinking they're great. Same thing. I'll update on the RPM and do the maths for the mpg but I've averaged using 5.5 litres of fuel per 100kms of use since I got it and that's freeway and city stuff plus a bit of fun in the twisties of a weekend. It's cheap to run.

Well I was brought up on manual, drove them until my late thirties, moved to Australia, driven many automatics, still own one, (Ford Everest) but for a 1000cc small hatch, the manual configuration wins hands down. I'm a motorist, someone who likes to have control of a gearbox, manual's give a pure driving experience and it gives meaning to being sat in the driving seat. Automatics give me the feeling of being a passenger as opposed to a driver. But for those who don't want to have that experience and feel there is the GT line.
