I wonder why we are still looking at the young Maguire, Branthwaithe and offering 160K per week where Martinez is at 120K per week.
Branthwaite is a poor defender and we will have difficulties getting rid of him after 1 or 2 seasons like Maguire.

Dumfries is tall physical and adds in goals and assists ; attributes wise do think he would suit the PL but to me def getting on a bit in age. If not for seeming West Ham agreement and tendency to pick up a number of minor injuries i prefer Mazraoui / someone a bit younger than Dumfries regardless. Either way imo should be moving on AWB , contract running down and quite a limited player ; other big / top clubs do not really have options like him.
Silva is a class up and coming CB but will likely cost too much for us this summer (unless can massively negotiate his fee down) and we already have a young potential superstar type CB in the making (Yoro). With De Ligt if we can get him for the right fee brings winning and big club experience. Next CB we sign should be more ready made / finished article type imo. But Yoro even in the one match for us (only time i've seen him play in real time) looks to have possibly unreal potential.
Also the midfield needs to be addressed asap , be it negotiating Ugarte fee down or another option. Midfield was our biggest issue last term and have not addressed that at all yet. Understandably our next signings seem a bit held up with us having difficulty moving on the overpaid fringe players.
@@richyclubsport5155 Casemiro interest cooling off (especially from the Saudis) def a bit of a problem. I suspect could be Saudi connections to other PL clubs factoring in there with them suddenly backing off Casemiro. If we keep Scott as well could for sure limit how we invest in the midfield. Amrabat comes back its essentially the same midfield as last term. Our biggest issue last season was our midfield and could be coming back with the same personnel there is a major concern there for me. Do hope we can move Casemiro and Scott (or at least one) to bring in a new proper CM signing. And even better if can bring back Amrabat on the cheap as a 2nd CM signing. But sales will certainly be required to sanction that.

The branthwaite news is interesting as I feel deep down united want him over de ligt as he is younger and can play both rcb and lcb and united have been stalling the de ligt deal waiting for branthwaite to pull a move like this
If Branthwaite can play LCB, & RCB that's a bonus. Versatility is key, squad depth is a plus. I think it'll be good for both parties. Versatility makes it 2 signings in 1.

So we're looking to replace a 26year old defender who is one of the best one on one defenders, agile, and tidy on the ball, with a 28year old defender who is only going to get slower, has questionable technical skills and is probably going into his "last big contract". I don't get it. I've praised Ineos up until this point, but this link is absolutely disappointing.
We should've offered Branthwaite initially 120 K per week and then now raised the offer to 150 just to put pressure him.
And we will have difficulties selling him same like Maguire

Branthwaite doesn't just want to come for money. Everton are playing hard ball even though they need to sell, & we don't want to overpay. Its a bigger club even if he was offered same salary its a major step up. If he's going to be a flop like Maguire then Everton should block the deal. We've had cases where players missed out on were dodged bullets.
No Everton is playing hardball,Branthwaite wants to leave and is refusing a new contract unless Everton match Uniteds offer.Everton will not do that because Pickford and everybody else there would be asking for the same wage.Sometimes asking for a wage that reflects their overpriced value is the wake up call that greedy clubs like Everton need.

Fofana + Mainoo would probably have Mainoo play in the 1:st phase, with Fofana higher up.
Ugarte + Mainoo would be the opposite, with Mainoo higher up I think.
I think I prefer Mainoo higher up at the moment.

There has been games and times in games when we needed AWB. Such as when we play the likes of City and other top attacking sides. Who is better to help control attackers like Haaland Dumfries or AWB. If we need to close the door as a starter or during a game I like AWB. I doubt there is anyone better at that. We should think carefully about some of the teams and tactics we have to play when we meet them before we get rid of him. Imagine 1-0 up 20 minutes from time against City and they bring on all their attackers. Do we bring on Dumfries or AWB anybody?
With Dumfries, not for me. He is okay, but we can do better. Also he has only one position. Players like Kadioglu & Mazraoui make sense because of their versatility. If you can play multiple positions, it makes it easier to tactically switch in game with ease. Like Dalot tucking in as an extra midfielder or playing as an inverted fullback. Also providing cover for unavailable players in many areas and positions instead of just one.
Masraoui has a horrendous injury record! No thanks.

Alice nobody hates Rashford. Truth be told he has underperformed and it seems he needs a change of club. In an ideal club, he would have been sold to fund better players. He's overhyped and the cycle would go on this season again
Agree totally. Everyone remembers his “moments” but forget the other 95% when he offers nothing!
No one “hates” Rashford. They are just fed up with him being so overhyped. His career stats are a goal less than every 3 games and negligible assists! His selfish shooting and hopeless dribbles take away from the team effort. He offers very little beyond his few and far between “moments”. There is a reason no one wants to buy him and it’s not his wages!
