This is part 1 of 6 videos . The goal of this one is to show the basis of takumi before the ductape death match. The next video will cover the death match Itself.
These videos are amazing. No one talks about these things anymore. Leaves people like me who loves talking about this stuff and learning more about it kinda lonely.
Thank you so much for your appreciation. I totally understand the loneliness . That’s why I made these videos cuz no one else has . Initial d is deep . And I want to share my love of it with everyone else :)
@@scubasteveae86alemar74 I also want to mention about God Arm, the specific technique he uses when racing is called slip angle. It's similar to how you described driving with one hand. He minimizes how much he needs the car to slide to go the fastest arounf the corner. The most a car can be sliding while still gripping. It minimizes steering as well. God Foot can be seen explaining this to the younger drivers of the Purple Shadow team in the show by saying how his technique is like an inbetween of grip and drift. He isn't exactly drifting, but he's not exactly gripping the car either. He called it the ideal drift. Just something I wanted to point out. I look forward to more excellent videos. Cya.
@@FuFuTF2 I agree with you 100% !!! I have been reading a lot of books recently about slip angle and there is actually a specific amount of slip which is considered the fastest . Thank you very much for your comments !!! Keep them coming . I wanted to start from the beginning to show the basics of what you need to actually do this . I have been training for about five years with the one handed steer so far ... I’m still learning. Thanks for the comments. Keep em coming :)
@@scubasteveae86alemar74 From now on I'll try and keep in touch in the comments for your new videos. I'm glad we can share our thoughts together about this stuff. Cya around.
Sorry I missed one. I saw part 2 today and had to go back to this for context. Once again a great job explaining how initial d skills can really translate into the real world.
Awesome dude !!!!! I’m happy that you also can see how these techniques can be used . I can’t wait for winter . I’m working on the next video about god Arm and the other techniques he uses . It’s incredible so I need to do more research since he plays mind games . :) if you find any info in the speed secrets book please let me know :)

@@ryosuke.takahashi I’m leaving for work shortly . I’m training for my cdl a . Driving tractor and trailer . I’m thinking probably this Saturday some time . Sound good ?
@@ryosuke.takahashi ok sounds good . Can you practice with both a red Honda Civic and also the 86 . ? Perhaps we can use some of the footage for the next video . The next one will be showcasing the actual ductape death match from the point of view of the 86 and the civic .
It is real very real . Here is a link to driver 61. It’s a racing channel that explains weight transfer . Please pay close attention starting around 4:20. ruclips.net/video/qCE54-H2zkM/видео.html
Also if you watch the Australian v8 race cars when they start entering a turn you will notice a lot of weight lift on their cars some cars even have that naturally for instance . Porsches tend to lift the front end up since they have the engine in the back . Normally to compensate for this they put weights in the front . I will see if I can find the link for you .
Yes and the same weakness takumi had in his beginning stage . He has a specific line he used . He was taking wide turns and only using 1 line to achieve his times . His weakness was the same as shinjis.
After the ductape death match takumi now starts to use multiple different lines cuz he doesn’t have to initiate such big drifts using his wide lines . That’s why ryosuke said he changed during his race with him .
