In January, I travelled to Morocco to film the campaign for the launch of the much-awaited Toyota Land Cruiser 2024. It felt truly surreal to see this car before it hit the roads - we were driving an actual prototype down the endless trails and into the Sahara desert of Morocco! So wild.
This film would not have been possible without the hard work of an incredible, international production team. Adi, Hugo, Alex, Nathalie, Gador, Sergio, Tom, Nouredinne, Yousef, Anke, Mihaela, Laurin, and everyone else - THANK YOU. You were an absolute dream team and I'm so grateful to have met all of you. I hope they give it to you, Eva. I love my 1998 Toyota, because it is easy to work on, and reliable (just check vitals at every re-fuel), now at 330K+ miles (distance beyond the Moon, working on a return trip). @ 10:50 You deserve it. The best word for this is probably "cybernetics", the Greek origin, meaning "to steer or pilot a ship, direct as a pilot." I suspect it came to honor a person at the helm of a sailing ship, that would steer the ship safely to a destination. That is what you have done, Eva, keep rolling! 🚙⛵ -John (from Arizona)

Why pick Eva for a SUV commercial? First, she somehow brings her scenes to life just by being herself. Second when she narrates, she conveys the emotions of the moment in just a few words. She deserves to be discovered.

Eva! Those tears of joy at the end of your video, those are rare indeed for many people. Most importantly, those tears of joy were EARNED. Six years, of experimentation, of taking chances, of figuring things out on your own. Six years of fighting doubts, wrestling with second guessing, the ups, the downs, the prep, the paperwork, the editing - you've had to deal with it all and figure it all out. There is also the sense of adventure. Many people can't escape their comfort zone to the extent she has, but she embraced it and found ways to make it happen, both in physical terms and in her courage.

My Corolla had 2 previous owners before I got her.
Then she became the vehicle for both my kids before she "passed away".
Now, I am in a 2012 RAV4 and she still runs perfectly.

I love this. Your piece fit nicely with Toyota's video. I found myself wondering as you were delivering your lines in the official video if you had written what you were going to say or if they just had a really good read on where you are coming from. And Yeah, they definitely should give you a new one, as you are the poster child for overland adventure.
Haha, actually the voiceover was completely spontaneous and organic. When we recorded it, I was just reminiscing on the desert adventure ad lib and this is what came out :)

For all those here lamenting that Toyota should give her a new LC, rest assured, I’m sure she has been compensated quite well for this partnership, as she should. She has built her brand (and subscribers) here through years of prolific hard work and putting herself out there in a uniquely authentic and personal way. It’s hard not to like (love) her. And she has been very savvy with the brands she has chosen (or not) to partner with.
That kind of appeal doesn’t come cheap for one of the world’s biggest vehicle brands. Bravo for her! And kudos for her new adventure stepping on this stage (and earning her big payday💰).

In addition to the compensation she gets from Toyota she also gets credit from you tube and then some more from any commercials aired during the video. I would say that she was really well compensated for the week she spent in the desert

When I was young, I dreamed of owning a Toyota Land Cruiser. In more recent years, I would have settled for an FJ Cruiser. I never got to buy either one, but I do have an old 6-cylinder manual transmission 4x4 Toyota Tundra (210K miles and counting!), and I've taken it out many times into the rough Mojave Desert. It has dents and scratches all over, and the paint is coming off, but it runs...and I love driving it. The truck has been very reliable for well over two decades. I will continue driving it until it falls apart, which, hopefully, won't be anytime soon! (David E. Miller, Las Vegas, Nevada)

Oh my!!! I was giggling, i cried with you and proud of what you've accomplished! I've been watching your videos for a while now, and it was like joining you in every adventure that you do. I dunno but the greatest take away everytime I'm watching--ts not maybe just the traveling part but the sense of freedom and inspiration everytime you put your emotions into words. I thank you for that. I'm just an ordinary teacher here in the Philippines and finding your channel is like finding about myself's deep sense of longing for adventure.

I started watching you and many other "youtubers" during covid. I stumbled on an older video of you in Pakistan and thought it was amazing. I enjoyed watching people brave enough to venture out and break away from the 9-5. I would share them with my daughters, family, motivating them and myself to venture out more. I have stopped watching 99% of them. Many switched to other types of "paid" videos, they moved to constantly being dramatic, or just scripted content. My favorite part of your videos are that you're real and always pushing yourself. When you fail, set goals, change goals, question yourself, succeed in small goals, or succeed in larger goals like an international commercial, it's always done artistic and feels so altruistic. Congrats!!!
