About this cover:
I thought that doing a cover in the original time signature (3/4) would be too cliche, so I decided to branch out and arrange this one in 4. It has a light march feel to it, which I particularly enjoy. The instrumentation was Soprano 1, Soprano 2, Alto 1, Alto 2, Tenor 1, Tenor 2, and Baritone Saxophone.
After arranging this, I saw it felt like a dixieland march feel so I decided to open it to a tenor sax solo which I had tons of fun recording over.

Amazing as always! I must ask, how do you get such a sound on the soprano? Is it the equipment, technique, or experience? Perhaps all of them together?
+Domo yes, yes, and yes. The equipment is important, but having the right technique over long time (experience) will help you get there.
I recently did a "warm up" video that goes over how I warm up. That's a big help for me.

Hey Pedro! Another amazing jazz cover, btw, I've been contemplating wether or not i should try a metal mouthpiece or stick to my Yamaha 5C plastic mouthpiece. Any advice on the tones? Because I see that some of your saxes use a metal mouthpiece and would like to know the main differences in tone and sound. Thanks for any help you can give me!
So for which horn are you referring to? Alto, Tenor, etc? I will be making a comparison video between a metal and hard rubber mouthpiece.

I don't see how this song was ever in 3/4 by listening to the original. I can see that it could be seen as 2/2, 2/4, or 4/4, but never 3/4.
I've heard versions in 3 where its more of a waltz, which is really cool. :)

Lots of practice :), plus I have a great mouthpiece. The JodyJazz HR series is perfect to get the sound I want.
I use Jody Jazz on soprano. So tempted to buy an alto
