Somehow, his emotionless face and monotone delivery makes this story all the more interesting.
Totally agree.
Yeah..the very matter of fact way he tells it makes it funnier.
Aw, they skipped the end where he reveals they're still together 8 years later.
true, very true
Welcome to John Malkovich, would you like a complimentary Malkovich?
John Malkovich is great at deadpan delivery. The British would love him if he did standup
We already do.
have you seen him in Rounders?
Of course us brits love him, who else could have delivered the line "I am gettin' the pig!!"
John is unique. Even if when he's not acting, he's like doing some natural acting.
I think it's all to do with his unique voice and that natural eadpan delivery. Amazing actor and also very funny without even trying to be.
Amazing storytelling ability
Malkovich’s tone of voice, intonations, pitch, and delivery are always epic. What a storyteller! 👏🏻
i love the fact that his face expression doesnt change at all meanwhile everyone is laughing their ass off even when john doesnt even say anything funny
Yeah, he's very stoic.
True! It's all in the delivery...some are born to it. Not me though : ( I can say something funny...no laughs...my husband or someone else in the room who found it funny will repeat it with a different influx and the room roars. I'm like...wait what?
@@JoBlo321 very true. john apparently naturally has the voice and the face to say anything and make it sound funny, as his speaking rhythm is slow. its the combination of all of that which makes him funny, even though he isnt a funny guy. hes not a man who tells jokes as per say like chris rock, but his expression gives that impression.
This story is also probably not all that funny to him.
Charles bronson school of acting😮
Every time I've seen John Malkovich in a film he is either yelling or swearing or usually both. But, when he is doing and interview, he is so quiet and calm that it makes you question his acting abilities.
Truly amazing actor.
John has such a nice voice.
Bad thing is...he hates his own voice
***** He shouldn't! His voice is wonderful. But I totally get it, I don't like the sound of my own voice either.
I agree
His voice and acting style were a perfect combination for his character Cyrus 'The Virus' Grissom in the movie Con Air. 🍻
I love his voice too
I wish we would see him in more movies. He is a brilliant actor, we just don't get to see enough of him on the big screen lately.
They were going to have John Malkovich play Ed Gein but the producers decided he was far too creepy to play a serial killer.
meedily In what movie?!
MissRoee He was making a joke
He was great in "In the Line Of Fire" I mean he plays a great psycho.
that made me snort the sushi Im having for dinner
Why da phuck did I read Ed Gein as Ed Sheeran?!
I just love the way John talks especially the beginning of the story "a very big woman" lol.
+huswsimonbla I wanna know what the second description of the woman is because I didn't get it . Type it please.
+Have a nice time! The very big woman was dressed a bit too "provocatively".
***** Thank you :)...then he said a word but I cannot type it because I am not a native American and I try to speak as a native speaker...he said "like a michelen woman?" in the second 37 :D...please tell me this particular word ...Thank you !
+Have a nice time! Yes he said "Michellin" like the tire manufacturer. It is a very big guy. Just google the name, it is funny.
***** Hahahahahahahahahahaha :D :D :D :D .......Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaank you !!!! I've watched con air......"The last guy who told me to have patience, I burned him down and bagged his ashes" :D hahahahaha!!
Malkovich is so deadpan, but utterly hilarious. And one of the best actors of our time. For me, he stole the show in Expendables. Actually, he pretty much steals the show in any movie he is in. He has portraying some one who is barely keeping sane down to a T.
I so agree. He can do comedy, terror, evil.....
Love his slow, hesitant style of telling a story.
I could listen to this man talk all the day long.
No one can tell stories the way John Malkovich does.
He's hilarious. Saw him in the stage play Burn This, many years ago in NYC. He played an extremely flawed man, but John somehow made the character charming. Such a great actor.
Did she end up killing him? I hate it when they cut videos like that...
Nah he ok
"And that, kids, is how I met your mother."
Yes. Yes she did. And that's when the necrophilia began.
maybe he killed her.....
@@exbronco1980 and ate her
if i were him in that situation, i would've been so creeped out....
He clearly was freaked out. You can see it in the last moment of the clip. He's not really enjoying sharing that story, and it's probably a moment that he doesn't like to relive.
"theres girl in the garden...."
"what?"
"in the garden, theres a girl"
That was the first album I ever bought!
a, there, is.
You have red on your shirt.
first thing i thought too
“CORNETTO”
He is such a great storyteller. He has a really funny way to articulate. I laughed so much at the light house for the blind story from the same episode (sadly I don't think they have a clip of it here).
I wish I could find the clip of him, yrs ago on another talk show, talking about his early days in Chicago theatre when he was driving a school bus in an affluent area to make ends meet. His descriptions and imitations of the kids criticizing him were so hysterical I pissed my pants laughing.
When John M starts talking, click on setting and change the speed to "1.5"..........go on try it.
lol he sounds normal
I went to go try it, and found it was already set to 1.5. Putting it on normal was a surprise.
He sounds British all of sudden 😂
I did it and it's hilarious
1.5 speed is the normal speed of Martin Scorsese when he speaks.
I love John Malkovich what an awesome actor and love his stories
+josephine9975 Because he is a Sagittarius man
Have a nice time! I had no idea, haven't met too many Sagittarius people in general.
***** I have 3 Sagittarius friends and they are like him...they have a sense of humor as the same as John :D....what is your zodiac?
Have a nice time! right. I've known many Leo people for some reason I always end up around them. MIne is Cancer.
***** Wow! This is great :D...I am Leo too :D and I have a Cancer friend....My element is fire but your element is water, I am not compatible with cancer as a zodiac because we are different in our ways in life but we are compatible in the type of the character (both of us are leaders) and our representation system is (feeler)...So, you will find it a good relationship as friends, but for marriage, it is not recommended. Leo should marry Sagittarius or Arius, or Gemini but they should have the same character and representation system for marriage success. Cancer may marriage Pisces or Taurus or Scorpio.
John Malkovich tells the best stories.
Dude should be in every talk show
Seriously, I`m trying to picture the moment with John Malkovich reading the script and the woman all dressed up, looking REAL excited and anticipation on him reading the headline,,,,,the look on his face must of been priceless!
He's hilarious, just the greatest actor of all time. Jack Nicholson was crying when John Malkovich showed up.
More details please.
I'll NEVER forget his portrayal of Lennie! That film make me cry for days.
John has an amazing speaking voice... love his movie just to hear him talk...
I like how he talks, the voice, intonation, attitude, calmness
John Malkovich could talk about the history of carrots and make it mesmerizing.
Hello Bugs Bunny.
@@JPSimen Whats up Doc?
that was a scary story.
John Malkovich is freking awesome))
Sounds like his own version of *Misery*
Awww I love John Malkovich
everything John malkovich says just comes off so sad and it's brilliant.
Aside of from all the movies John has been in over the years...he is a brilliant actor.
Sometimes people get the looks mixed up with how well a man can act..this guy can do it very well!!
Bedtime stories with John Malkovich :) :)
His voice is so attractive. Lee Pace kinda has it too. Am i seriously attracted to voices? XD
Superman13195 The man from taken... right? Well, I suppose he kind of has that voice too. Not as strong as Malkovich, or Lee Pace.
Superman13195 A bit... Yes.
Hey, sir. I am just reply to what you are asking. So please be more respectful.
Just mentioning...but somewhere I think he said that he hates the sound of his own voice. Don't know why though.
***** I do not understand in the slightest way either. But at least somewhere out here John, we love you and your voice.
Being John Malkovich. I'd love to see him and Christopher Walken n a scene, or just chatting on the sofa...
oh boy, that is a good idea
And both of them are on acid
@@TheTruthKiwi but do they need?
@@invisiblekincajou probably not but it'd be interesting
I can see that and Chris stating deadpan too but more meaningfully than Tom,
"John, you complete me"
This story always makes me laugh. His delivery is impeccable.
John malkovich a great actor
I love at the end. He's like what else can I say ....
John has an epic voice!
that man has so much dignity and class that it just POURS out of him
As you do!! We shouldn’t laugh but it is funny the way his face doesn’t change with the seriousness of situation.
Amy from Liverpool
His performance as Lennie Small had me clinically depressed for two weeks straight. Also, just seems like such a great guy!
I can never stop seeing Lennie
he beat me. straight up. pay him. pay that man his money
Graham Norton IS THE BEST
GREAT GUEST's That bring out the
Best in him for a great show and GUEST's
Agreed! Irishmen like he and the late Terry Wogan make the best hosts.
I like how cool & the un emotional way he narrates the story, he really was the best pick to play the villain in Johnny English 😂
I could listen to this man all day.
Great, eerie story superbly delivered
graham's laugh is brilliant
John Malkovich is just brilliant whether he's acting or not.
He’s an amazing actor
I thought this was going to be a story like something out of "Being John Malkovich"...But, as they say, truth is sometimes even stranger than fiction!
You all are so lovely!! Thank you! :)
Brilliant actor.
Ed “There is a girl, in the garden.”
John Malcovich: “There’s a what?”
Anyone else come back to this just hear his voice ?
"...Like a kind of Michelin woman......" 🤣🤣🤣
Um...he hasn't seen Michelin lately I take it? The cancel culture, pc crowd had her lose weight! No rotund nice fat tires to stop the lumps n bumps driving. Barely there around the rim these days. Ahuh...
Everyone chooses Morgan Freeman or Samuel L Jackson for story narrations....John Malkovich and Micheal Caine would be interesting additions to tht mix
0:08 That "Yeah" reveals much charisma.
John um ator magnífico!!
Ohhh, that's just classic!! Kinda like "Being John Malkovich" meets Stephen King's "Misery"!!
I guess his home in France will be UNLISTED in next year's Michelin Guide...!
She sounds like a Keeper lol
I've loved John Malkovich since I was a teenager, he is a one off ❤
He is amazing
😂😂....luv this show...can't get enough
Wow, Richard Gerbil sure has a good sense of humor.
He has great delivery
he is amazing
Love this show
brilliant actor!
Love him in RED with Bruce Willis, lol very much same like this
🙋 ❣️ Yes ....
This is a great show!
You see Gere kind of forcing all smiles but sweating under more profusely, not because the studio lights but because he seems to be going through Flashbacks of women like that hiding in odd places.... waiting to find him, alone.
john's voice😍😍😍😍
I love John!
OMG I LOVE THIS MAN
Handsome :)
The man's an absolute genius!
Love it!!
Malkovich is just the best 🥰
I love his face in the thumbnail shot for this video.
Sounds like a good film. I'd watch that!
Malko...there will never be another javert like.
"Make A Move And The Bunny Gets it"
Just watched Mice and Men in tears
Love Malkovich great actor
I seriously just peed my pants LAUGHING!😀😀😀😀❤❤❤
On a side note, Saoirse Ronan.. I'm in love
Luca Munro Maybe John saw her in the garden
igorbog88 I fucking hope not xD
i thought that was Abi from My Family!
She's one of the great few who hasn't been ruined by Hollywood.
She can be scary too, she was not laughing she was smiling along.... like delighted
Never warmed to JM...until REDS...he is absolutely brilliant in that👍😂🙏🏻
This happened to me like 2 weeks ago, and where's my Graham Norton interview, huh?
Being john malkavich is a great movie !
"and then... I ran back to the house... screaming for help"
Holy crap!!! I don't know why but I laughed so hard at this one I almost fell over!!!!!!!
€×=
I think the screenplay she was pitching had already been done... 'Misery'.
The shade...😂😂😂
KING!
Love you
