Like you, I had resigned myself to the fact my sweet girl would be our only child. Gave all the “gear” away, and 13 years later along comes our beautiful little boy. It was like having 2 only children, but so amazing. Don’t give up hope

Bless you. I have 2 boys aged aged 14 and 11. I always really wanted a 3rd baby but something always got in the way of it happening, but I kept hold of everything in the hope that it would eventually happen, then, in 2019 my older sister had a mental breakdown and couldn't cope with the demands of single parenting and so we ended up taking her children in and becoming full time carers for them. They were 4 and 7 at the time. We still have them and will do for the foreseeable future and so, that put a definite end to my 3rd baby dreams. I still crave that 3rd little baby of my own but I guess God had other plans for me.
I feel so sad for you that you haven't had your second baby and giving those things away must feel like the end of that journey for you but, you don't have to think of it that way, just think of it as you are lending those things to your sister and, if you need them back again you can have them, they are just on loan to her for a while and often, once you stop trying for a baby and free yourself of that stress, that's when it happens!
I hope everything works out for you one way or another and, in the meantime just enjoy every moment with your beautiful Ava and the fact that you can give her 100 % of you ♥

Sending you my love, Karen ❤️ i can only imagine how hard it should be to give up on those "things". And even not knowing you, i could feel the sadness 😔 God bless you 😘 i hope at least that all the supplements you're taking will make some change on your symptoms.

Limiting my gluten and dairy intake and also going on walks helped my PCOS symptoms sooooo much. I got my period back after a whole year without it just from doing that!

Such a sad but truthful chat.... u clearly weren't heard in your health journey , I'm sure there was better ways to help and in turn help with your problems conceiving. I know people will say well u have child, u are lucky. Some never get that. I get that but that doesn't mean you can't be sad, angry and disappointed that you couldn't have your wants met. That being having more than one child. It is good to look forward to the future with Ava and to see all the things in your life that are good and are fulfilling, especially if you feel it will ruin your present to keep trying for something that may never be. It's still a loss though. Giving away Ava's baby things, I know in theory are only " things" but it's a mark to say you've come to terms that a second baby may never happen for u , so is very significant. Its nice though that those things are going to family. I've two girls, which I'm very thankful for but I always wanted more. I was very unwell after my second baby and it put a huge strain on my marriage . So my husband really didn't want anymore children. I always thought though down the road I'd have more. We were in a much better place , but happy how we were a few years later. Then I got pre cancer cells again in my cervics- I had a lletz done b4 , but when I went in for my procedure I was asked if i wanted any more children , I answered I was hoping to in the future. She said I was at stage 3 and be risky to have the journey of being pregnant and then in a years time getting treatment, as be a good chance I'd have cancer in that time period. She said though that it was quite extensive and most of my cervix would be removed and I would be unable to hold a baby full term. So that day my secret wish to have a 3rd baby was crushed. It had a much bigger effect on me than I had invisioned. It's okay to feel a loss of something that u had wanted but now can't. A few years later all 3 of my close friends had a baby at 39/40 , and it hit me hard. I was happy for them of course. One of them it wasn't planned and she found it difficult to come to terms with having a 3rd child but now says it's the making of her and her family. They recently are all talking about enjoying breast feeding and sharing the bed etc etc as they all know it be their last baby. I feel I never got that with my last baby as never thought she would be. Like u though I'm grateful for what i have and try to except it was never meant to be. It's a hard one though , that alot of woman suffer from. I didn't have any fertility issues but even still didn't have my wants met with having more children. I know your story is alot harder than mine and emotional. You had many years of trying and feeling the loss so much more strong..plus financially too. It sucks that it all came down to finances. I'm telling you my story as I want u to know your feelings and loss , even though a dream and a want , is still a very real feeling. Sending my love 🤍

I have pcos and have been trying for our first baby for 4 years now. Visited public health service for fertility treatment. They suggested to take inofolic 1 sachet twice a day for atleast 3 months.. it's available in Amazon.. it's been a month am using. Doc suggested for ovulation induction. Am waiting for my period to give it a shot. Hope everything goes well . I will keep posting here if any updates.. And about inofolic... it has folic acid helps in follicular growth and inositol which regulates insulin..as pcos patients are prone to diabetics.. in terms of composition it's a help for pcos patient for sure

Birth control is not the answer for pcos. Any reputable dr knows this but sadly there is a huge amount that still use outdated methods. Regardless of trying for a baby or not I think it is important to get your pcos under control. Id recommended an endocrinologist over a gyno, they work from the inside out inside of just sticking a plaster on it (the pill) they help with weightloss, skin issues, hair ect if you don't like metformin there are alternatives to it. I'm a nurse myself and can highly highly recommend a dr in St james, she sees both public & private. You can start private & switch to public and can get all treatments public even if you stay private. There is 2 endo drs listed on the st james private website, her name is the Irish one 😉 i think you should at least consider it, I was not aware of just exactly pcos was and what it could lead to in the future. I had fantastic results thanks to her and unexpectedly got pregnant. That won't happen for everyone I know but even for the health aspect it was worth it.

I will definitely look her up. I've never considered an endocrinologist before. At this stage I'd just like to get my PCOS under control. In my last bloods there were signs things are worsening. Thanks so much for the recommendation.
