Well what can i say watched video. Ordered the part 13.11p fitted exactly as shown reset instructions perfect. What a star perfect money saving tip. Thankyou
I get this message on my 2017 and always forget about it until the next time I start the car. Great to know I can fix this myself. Excellent video and instructions! Thank you for taking the time to document the process.
Cheers Louis, I had the same on my V8 2015, but the battery unit on my telematics unit had 3 wires on the plug supplying 3.9V to differing parts of it I'm guessing. I did exactly the same as you pressing the SOS to test and a call came in LOL. I was shocked initially and there was a little speaker tucked away in the centre somewhere and whilst I embarrassingly apologised. I could hardly understand the caller, the speaker was squawking terribly! For some reason once I had removed the battery and replaced it back in, it worked fine and it has not come back. I didn't know about holding the spanner button so thanks for that! Good lad. I've got Michelins going onto my Jag too, soon.
Thanks for the video, really helpful. For my 2016 model the battery was different so I suggest to check it before buying the battery. I replaced it but still get SOS message, maybe I have to drive some miles to kind of "charge it" but the problem could be potentially somewhere else....
