Wow, this is probably my favorite song from 2023. I heard about her on a YT record collector page. The whole album is really good and then I started listening to Big Thief. Her new record is good as well. I'm really surprised to see this reaction!

adrianne lenker, mostly known as the lead singer/songwriter for band Big Thief, is one of my all time favorite writers. her stuff with big thief tends to have a bit more juice in the arrangements and production, because well of course, its with a whole band. my favorite album of theirs, UFOF i would describe as psychedelic folk and dream pop. Adrianne's solo stuff i also find incredibly moving in its more minimalist approach. her most recent album was made with entirely Analog recording, mixing, and mastering--to give a little more insight to her approach.

Amazing analysis as always! Also great point about "wanting someone back is sometimes easier than finding a new relationship". I like how this song highlights the simple domestic things in love, its so down to earth and real. Also, just a random fun fact but this song was written in open tuning. Have a great day!
