    I love to travel with a small antique silver spoon and salad fork. Very lightweight, tuck them in anywhere, and I feel Special no matter what I'm eating, It actually makes my food taste better, and I can do without one more plastic thing to go in my mouth.

      I also take a tea spoon with me and an unbreakable mug, if I have the space. Nicer than drinking from my thermos. But I have a collapsible plastic mug + cuttlery set too, for when low space/weight is needed.

    Former Lush employee, here. You’re using too much shampoo. With your hair length, you only need to do one swipe, maybe a little more - no repeated back and forth. If you like super suds, then of course, use it however it makes you happy! But a bar should last several months, even for someone with much longer hair.

    Things that are essential for me:
    - Disposable pill pouches for bringing your meds and/or vitamins on the go. ( I usually get mine from walmart)
    - Shiseido sunscreen stick SPF 50, for those times you need to be under the sun for prolonged periods, thing small stick packs a punch and very portable.
    - For trips with hikes or long adventures, I bring my packable matador backpack. I don't use it often but when i need to, it offers extra storage + very water resistant for rainy conditions.

    I love love love ginger chews. Compression socks matter! Traveling overseas, I was stopped. Suddenly, one person yells down to my end at the attendant …”It’s a spork”😂 I had it carabinered to my backpack:) I find a headlamp invaluable for dark areas even in the room if you are traveling with someone or going thru your suitcase….will keep from waking up the other person. The sea to summit towels dry super quick! I use a sea to summit travel clotheslines! I have fold up compact hangers too. I use a dry bag and soap sheet laundry detergent to do a few pieces of laundry on the go. I travel with a small sewing kit and a small manicure set. Both are smaller than a deck of cards. Moleskin! Thanks for the suggestions.

    I take a Spork with me as well...well a muti functional spork...has a serrated part, bottle opener, can opener, etc. It seems unnecessary until its necessary

  • @MariaCarabin

    Never heard of the Matador Soap bag! It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for!
    - I really like inflatable hangers + a mini tube of hand-wash detergent. I can pack a lot lighter with these, as I can handwash my blouses, bralettes or tights, plus the armpits of t-shirts and pullovers. Since taking these I pack a lot less clothing!
    - For people with periods: period underwear and a well packed hygiene product bag for a cup/tampons/pads/ washable pads or whatever you use + baggies for disposal. There’s some waterproof bags out there in which you can also put your used reusable products without worry.
    - I also always take a thin tea towel. I can wipe spills during lunches in the train or dry my hands properly or dry mugs in the hotel, after I made tea. There are also dishwashing detergent mini bottles, if you are self-catering or want to wash dishes in a hotel room. It can also pad something breakable.
    -I also like to have a collapsible mug with me, in case a hotel doesn’t provide anything larger than an espresso mug. If I have the space and the weight isn’t an issue, I take a real mug with my, that doesn’t break easily (I have a padded food bag and wrap the aforementioned tea towel around it).
    - I don’t have a spork but a plastic cutlery set that you can stack. It comes with its own little box too. In case you want to eat salad or cut your bread. If I have the space I take real cutlery with me though.
    - a tiny but ultra strong nano bag. Super strong, it can handle a shopping trip but folds town to finger size. Sadly not waterproof.
    - a compact waterproof bag if I go swimming/on my annual winter spa trip.

      yes, inflatable hangers! been using them for 30yrs for regular laundry and when traveling, along with a mini fold-up 'octopus' with 8 pegs. you're one of the very few who has mentioned the hangers; they're so good for drying clothes

    Open texture scrubby cloth for the shower rather than a facecloth or loofah. Wrap your soap in it for travel. Shakes out pretty dry.

    As someone who has had a pulmonary embolism caused by a DVT, wear compression socks!! Not only do they lower your risk of blood clots, but your legs and feet don't feel swollen after travel, they always feel great!!
    (Also, I 100% have a travel spork, so useful!)

    I carry a good quality headlamp and one cheap headlamp petzl has great quality headlamps. I carry extendable straws they come in it’s own sealed metal container so you can use it then put it in your purse and it will not leak.

    Rovyvon A5 flashlight has the head lamp beat. I often take disposable pack fork-knife -spoon with a napkin, because i can throw any one part away. I also take a utility knife without the blades if my trip is going to be over a few days. You never know when a knife will come in handy

    I also take safety pins, for lots of reasons, clips (fold over paper clips) to close snack bags and hold hotel/hostal curtains shut, black stickers to put over annoying hotel room lights and laundry sheets 👍👍 I would disagree only with the portable speaker. Not that you shouldn’t take one to use in your accommodation, but please don’t use these on the beach, in the countryside or public places. Nobody else wants to be forced to listen to others’ music.

    i would recommend get an old school airpod and a docking station instead of the bluetooth speaker. Its old tech but its something that helps out a lot and is way better.

    For the Sony speakers it’s mono audio which is a little weird to get use to. You can pair with another to make it stereo audio but at that point I’d rather get one that comes that way out the box.

    I live in the US do you ever have issues with 220V since we live in the US and it is usually 120V in the US

    • @ElPandaWarrior
      @ElPandaWarrior 12 дней назад

      Most electronics these days are dual voltage. Check your devices to see if they can use 220V. My ipad, laptop, iphone and airpods can all use 220V. You will just need a plug adapter like the one he showed first on this video. I do not travel with a camera so cant speak to that, you will need to check your camera if you travel with one.

  • @tlmoscow
    @tlmoscow 9 дней назад

    In most places, you don’t need a travel adapter. Most places today have universal plugs.
