I understand Koraidon is supposed to be the legendary of the past and Miraidon is the legendary of the future, so it makes sense for Koraidon to be just running and Miraidon has the motorcycle wheels, but it bothers me too much when Koraidon is running on its legs despite having wheels on its body.
Why does he have those wheels at all?
It's an anole, with the big dewlap on its neck. That's the design. Honestly I don't mind it. Why should the skin on it separate from its neck and body so it can rotate when it's not built for that?
@@beanoptodon they should've had the sacs that represent a dewlap be sheathed, or at least smaller, until it gets in water where it would be necessary to inflate. Still love the design tho I'm getting Scarlet
@@beanoptodon I personally liked the idea of a lizard neck anole as well from the box art, but in the game model, it doesn't really look connected to its body.

It is absurd, I have seen that only in Digimon.
A Legendary Pokémon that everyone will be riding is not that Legendary.

I appreciate the idea of having the legendary pokemon as ride pokemon early on since it's most likely intended for the player to build up a sort of attachment to the pokemon. It's a subversion of the normal "only the worthy can catch me" trope while still retaining the "worthy" part via the pokemon activily choosing the player. It makes me wonder if something will happen to the legendarys though

How do you people not understand that Koraidon doesn't use its, "wheels," because it doesn't have, "wheels." It simply uses that weird inflatable organ that many reptilians have to represent wheels. It crawls on all fours like creatures of the past, while Miraidon has evolved futuristically to actually ride on wheels.

Something I would like for the Pokémon Company to do is the ability to make our avatar an adult! Pokemon has been around since I was a teenager, so being an adult almost in my 40s, that would be a welcoming change

I agree. I get who it's aimed towards, but validate the OGs that helped set the pace.
I imagine one way they could do this is implementing a kind of time skip function- where every year that passes in real time- equals like an inch or so of height for the player character. This would be great for the game’s re-playability and give you the feeling that your character is growing alongside you.
They can't do this without drastically changing the story, specially in this one where you are a student on a school
@@nachoferrari240 picture a Harry Potter like story progression that would take place over a few years in real time. The time in between gens is usually two in a half to three years. So they could just release an expansion, or DLC ever year or so, that would see your character’s age slowly progress as you completed certain events, so that the aging would be story locked.
Saying all this out loud, makes me realize it’s never going to happen, but a
guy can dream, right?
One of my favorite parts about this region so far are how many old but forgotten Pokemon are in it like the Slaking line, Eelektross line, Gogoat line, and even the Cacnea line, Massive W from the Pokemon company today!!
Not to mention, the venomoth line is finally gonna be in a regional pokedex ever since HGSS. Really like what they're doing with the pokedex so far, nat dex cut aside.

I love how goofy and cute Koraidon is when you ride him. The map seems really large as well, so I can’t wait to just spend time riding Koraidon around it. The characters all look pretty cool (except the main character). The gimmick seems pretty cool as well.

Also it hides his legs and body way too much, it ruins the nice quadrupedal run silhouette, I don't like it..

I saw a 12k5 poll and it was a perfect 50/50 between scarlet and violet, and since for now, the only thing that officially diffferentiate them is Koraidon and Miraidon, it's essentially a poll for which of the two pokemon is your favorite..

I don't think seasons are coming back. I assume that you can catch the different season Sawsbuck in different terrains. Like the grassy areas may have spring or summer Sawsbuck, the wintery areas will obviously have the winter one and maybe the marshlands will have autumn? Idk
The fact that you can walk with Pokemon gives me happiness. And the ending looks intriguing! It kind of looked like the Legendaries were about to protect the protagonist from something. Perhaps a hostile Pokemon?
Let's just hope that following pokemon will actually be properly implemented in those games. The way it's been done in SwSh and BDSP was horrible. Also the pokemon scaling seems to be looking alright for now. I hope it stays that way when the full game releases.
@@eragons1894 I know it wasn't perfect in bdsp but it was a lot better than swsh, at least in those games when your pokemon catch up to you they don't come to a sudden stop.
But yeah hopefully it's better than both those games.

The more I look at the trailer, the less I'm sure on which one to get cuz both Legendaries look really freaking cool. Might be wish fulfillment, but I hope both versions have considerable differences between them enough to make me want to buy both verisons.

@@blueflare4139 I've felt that way with all the Switch main line series. Let's GO, SwSh, BDSP. With Let's GO you can complement the version exclusive with Pokémon GO. SwSh are very below average Pokémon games imo with an underwhelming story and not much to do either in the main campaign or in the post game. And BDSP has a bunch of issues on its own, plus remaking Diamond and Pearl and not Platinum is just insulting with how many problems those games had that the remakes horribly tried fixing

For a N64 game, it actually looks pretty good
A lot of people assumed that the legendary Pokemon were obtainable early on as Pokemon that can be used in battle but from what we've seen, I don't know if that's the case. I think it will be similar to Wyrdeer and the other rideable Pokemon in PLA where you don't necessarily have them as Pokemon that can battle. I assume they will be catchable later on in the game.
This is gonna sound crazy but considering that we know that the legendary’s can fly through the air and Pokémon legends had Pokémon straight up or flying in mid air in certain areas the map, how likely do we think it is that we will be able to bump into flying Pokémon while flying through the region and be able to do a trailer battles was flying Pokémon in mid air?

Terastalize finally enables Gyarados to be a dragon! And I always wanted Dragonite to be a water type since it is famous for rescuing people at sea.
This feels oddly familiar, but also like a breath of fresh air!! As someone who’s played countless Pokémon games this feels like a step in the right direction for GameFreak I honestly haven’t felt this way in a long while so the fact this game is giving me these feels again is so serene it’s good to be home again.
Battle Frontier for Scarlet and Violet
Good for you! I kinda hate the fact that gamefreak says f u to everybody who wants the xp share to be an option, that they don‘t make the effort to scale at least the gym battles to your levels, that there still is no difficulty option, that they don‘t have coop that matters to the story. On top of that, they seem to be incapable of making the game look good, no voice acting. Been playing since gen 1 and i dislike the direction their games are going for so much that i won‘t buy it.
I haven’t played Pokémon in since sword and shield but I just wished they would bring back mega evolution.

@@pooPbutwhole I think your right in that sense I too played since gen 1 because my older bro had Red version and I played his Yellow version and tbh these games have started to cater to a younger audience and with that I think that nowadays some can’t keep focus or get bored easily I think that’s part of why these games are different in that regard, I think that they might bring that stuff back slowly intergrading into the new releases. For sure this won’t be the perfect game but it’s a step forward imo I stopped playing after X and Y & Sun and Moon I just want new Megas evos honestly.
For the other stories I believe 1 will be about time travel and you’ll be the professors assistant, discovering why Hisuian Pokémon show up. I believe the other will be the treasure hunt going on like a field trip with the school and maybe running into the evil team who could be like a biker gang

@@raymiemiller1455 Because if you can transfer a Pokemon from Pokemon Home to Scarlet and Violet it's because they're arleady catchable In the game that's how modern Pokemon games work since the dex cut.
Game looks more exciting than Sword and Shield. And in terms of the crystallizing mechanic, hopefully the Pokemon who gain a new type get a STAB move for it. They most likely will but hoping. Also hoping it won't break the meta like Dynamax did. Something some mega evolutions and Z-moves never did.
EDIT: When I said Dynamax broke the metagame but some Megas and Z-Crystals didn't, I was referring to the Smogon metagame in general. Since Mega Rayquaza was the reason AG was made. There are some megas like Mega Mawile and Sableye (Gen 6) with Mega Salamence and Lucario being banned from OU. And how Kommonium Z and Eevium Z were banned from UU and LC respectively. It's why I said some, while Dynamax got banned entirely from Smogon.
Sorry but i have to disagree i just think that getting legends in the start makes you strave for nothing unlike sw and sh, and the new gimmick just looks goofy

Dynamax and gigatimax did not break the meta since no one uses gmax pokemon unless they were already useful in competitive. Z move didn't break the meta either since it didn't change anything, but megas broke the meta since it gave pokemon that no one used the chance to be used more

you know what, i actually like crystallisation. Changing the pokemon types instead of buffing it directly is a pretty interesting gimmick in my opinion
It does buff it though if the pokemon's Tera matches it's type. Also it gains additional buff when you use a move that matches Tera's type.
@@eragons1894 But the surprise factor of having one that doesn't match it's type seems like it will diversify the gameplay. Competitive will require a lot more strategy and should be a bit more of a surprise this time around.
Just glad they didn't give any mons special attention like megas, z moves, and g max did. It lets you build a strategy around your favorite pokemon, not everyones favorite pokemon.

what will happen to all the pokemon moves that affect the weather?
Will this cause a small area to be effected during a battle or will these moves be removed from open world games for good?
They removed it on PLA, I guess they remove it too for SV, but who knows maybe they will reworked it so it can fit the open world environment
I’ll admit I still feel like we should have gotten a few more Pokémon, or at least the starter evolutions, but pretty hype trailer.
But I Understand they likely want to keep as many surprises as possible
The starter evolutions are never revealed through trailers, they try to keep them as secret as possible to surprise you when you actually evolve them, that being said, most of them already got leaked

Seems like in every gen there seems to be one or more features that stay permanently in most future games. In Gen 2 it was shinys, hold items. In gen 3 it was double battles, in fight weather. etc. Since raids are very popular in Pokémon Go, I bet this feature is here to stay.

The box pokemon are now a lot more interesting. I was planning on getting Scarlet but the more organic bike dragon has be a bit off to the robot bike dragon. But it does look pretty flying.

Bro the fact that the Pokémon are actually motorcycles and have literal gas stations. I love it! Also I think that you actually get the legendarys right off the bat like an hour after playing and most of the game is about exploring and searching for treasure but what could the treasure be?

Wow, Koraidon is literally a walking bike instead of a mechanical one? That's really dope! But I quite like it! I gotta say that I'm already in awe with Terastalize and of course the Tera battle raid. This may sounds better than Dynamax to me, but still nothing beats Mega Evolution. I'm so gonna enjoy it with fighting Gym leaders in any order as you like it.
