RESPECT first you are great looking so I didn't mind watching you work at all..🙏And THEN after wax and baffin MY MY ...LET'S JUST SAY....You SOLD IT.🤗.On the way to home improvement store in worse case and scenario I can always repaint. ❤🤩
hello, i want to ask everytime finish with the primer in a MDF board the surface looks like hair is comming out of the MDF board can someone explain how to fix it beacuase every coat i put on they come thruw!?
@@finaltouchdrywall do you use the wool pads for buffing plaster? I have tried out the microfibers from harbor freight but didnt feel like they were doing as well as I see others outcomes.
Better use tiles for the area which will directly be affected by water. If you want to propey clean bathroim out of calcium (with cleaning items containing acid), it will damage the wax coating and can affect the artwork behind wax. Either use some extra durable varnish instrad of wax
Hello! Always follow the new videos you upload to continue to learn. One question, do you make the video of the other sample that you presented at the end of this video? Thanks!
First, I dont know why anyone would want to have plaster polished to a mirror finish. But hey, If you want mirror finishes, put up mirrors. The beauty is the reflective warm glow. Assuming a mirror finish is the goal, you need a a smooth almost flawless surface to prime. If you see someone promoting mirror finishes, notice its always on a sample board or new construction with walls specifically prepared and primed for polished plasters. Apply, compress, and burnish - no secret technique. What’s also gross is applying those synthetic topcoats, in lieu of wax, that masks the work. Its more suitable on certain acrylic plasters (which iare NOT Venetian plaster). If you a touch of metallic, put mica powder in the wax instead of the overly saturated so called metallic and pearlescent topcoats. And restrict my use of such only to make panels or in niches. I once saw a bedroom that was completely plastered and covered with gold topcoat. It looked garish and scary. It also looked spartan because there were no wall hangings. He considered his walls to be art (ITS NOT!! LOL!!!)
@donmilland7606 I think you're wrong. Venetian plaster done to a good mirror finish is beautiful. It has a translucence (if formulated and applied correctly) that is unique and definitely displays artistry.
best video that I've come across for this technique
Looks beautiful ❤
Wow. That was a lot of work for no drama or wow factor.
To be fair it’s something that’s way more impressive in person the camera does it no justice
OUTSTANDING 👍🏼 !!!
I'm going to need some help getting tools and such . Thank you for your time this is a great info for us !!

looks nice! I use their grassello fino. how does the florenzia vary?
never mind, i see you already answered this question...looks great! I'll have to try this product out soon.
Yeah it definitely burnished and shines up easier.

Thank you! You can’t get the material I used at a home improvement store. I put the links in the description to get them.
what is the difference between making the sample in wood and drywall
what's the difference between a normal trowel and a burnishing trowel
I believe the burnishing trowel is slightly curved so as to prevent digging in and leaving lines from the egde of the trowel
Wow!
hello, i want to ask everytime finish with the primer in a MDF board the surface looks like hair is comming out of the MDF board can someone explain how to fix it beacuase every coat i put on they come thruw!?
1st coat, sand with atleast 400 paper, then 2nd primer coat lastly paint. double the fine sanding & extra paint for smoother finish
did you mention sherwin-williams on the video right?
so do you buy the venetian plaster there o just the color ?
Yea it’s just the color that we tint it to
Any preference on pads for buffing?!
I use harbor freight ones. They work just as good
@@finaltouchdrywall do you use the wool pads for buffing plaster? I have tried out the microfibers from harbor freight but didnt feel like they were doing as well as I see others outcomes.
@@shAdoiLLFORTUNE yea the wool ones. They work well. He hook and loop ones.
@@finaltouchdrywall awesome, i'll try those out instead. thank you for the quick response too! great content as well!
@@shAdoiLLFORTUNE thank you. I will be starting to out more out. I took a little hiatus 😃
What primer can you use ?
Didn't know I needed a speperate varnish trowel
How does the wax hold up in steamy bathroom?
Better use tiles for the area which will directly be affected by water. If you want to propey clean bathroim out of calcium (with cleaning items containing acid), it will damage the wax coating and can affect the artwork behind wax. Either use some extra durable varnish instrad of wax
Can you also polish acrylic Venetian plaster after wax?
Yes you can.
What’s the difference between that and the grassello
The grasello is natural and the florenzia is a synthetic and natural
Love this tutorial. Where can I get that trowel?? 👏👏👏👏
Marmorino tools

That's your opinion

No one cares boomer
This is just a burnished finish. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Could I do this with drywall knives?
I would have liked to have seen the finished better. That brief glance to show how shiny it was wasn't very satisfying.
Sorry. I’ll do another video in the near future to help see the finish better
Should be going from dry to wet, not wet to dry 😂
What’s the brand of the wax
Cera wax
