Matt, Your camera is only a teenager! I just got my K5ii in November. I will probably upgrade to the K3 this fall. I'm more interested in broadening my glass collection.
I'm waiting on a price drop for the K-3, likely in the fall too. I've got lots of fine glass. I got a great deal on the 77Ltd, 31Ltd and the A 50mm f1.2 when my son switched to Canon. I've got the 16-50 and 50-135, and a bunch of other lenses that I've either picked up or been given by folks not using their film Pentax gear anymore. That's one reason why I keep with Pentax, that and the gear is really good. Just wish the focus lock was as good as that 5DMkIII my son has.
AF-S versus AF-C focus speed? Dunno. Not sure what is switched on the back in-between series. I'm looking at the Sigma DP2 Merrill for landscapes, and a K-3 to upgrade from my K-5 (with nearly 70,000 shutter actuations).
This is testing focusing consistency between the two different modes most DSLRs focus with. First they started with the regular phase detect focusing mode (without Live view), then they click on the live view on the back of the camera and test the camera's Contrast detect focusing mechanism. They have the camera pointed at a fixed focusing target, and they're looking for focus misses, inconsistencies and hunting. Regular focusing tests.
methanbreather Except that according to every single source out there the quality is exceptional, not just 'marginally better', for a price that is far below that of comparable offerings from Canon, Nikon etc.
It's heck of a glass!

Would love a K3. Going to be a while.
Add a lust for the 645z to my "win the lottery" list. I hope some of those features come to a ff Pentax.
What is this test testing?

Regular focusing tests.
can someone please let me know what an "Art" lens is ???
some sigma lenses of marginally higher quality than the usual sigma offerings for a freaking high price.
methanbreather that figures .....thanks for the reply ...

Slooooooow focusing. Why would you do that to insult the K3??? Please do some images comparison instead. Thanks.
