My dad would have loved this. Not that he was a gamer. But he did talk about getting a game console if he could find a syfy game that allowed you to explore other worlds... now that he’s passed away we have No Mans Sky and this game. Man he would have enjoyed this!

I just downloaded this on gamepass, i was expecting it to be like space engineers. I was so surprised that it was a linear story. Currently I am loving this game so far.
Just finished it today, really solid game. My biggest complaints are a bit of repetition of "puzzles" that aren't really puzzles. Putting that and a number of plot holes aside, I really enjoyed this game. Definitely can recommend.
Microwave remote energy transmission or laser energy transmission via satellite is entirely a real technology the fact that this video twice refers to it as hand wavey sci-fi concepts is inaccurate. Its not the most efficient power transmission method but it is entirely within science fact. Launching a rocket by yourself however less so

The first three minutes of this video makes the game look like it is a mix of subnautica (the research, the graphics, etc...) and also a bit like astroneer (the sci-fi, the astronaut and tech)

Amazing game! I didn’t know what I was getting into when I first started, but as soon as I saw it was powered by Unreal Engine I knew it’d be captivating. The story line was nail biting watching those holograms. I’d recommend this to everyone. 11/10
Yea its great. I got it via game pass. Its gameplay is very fun for how slow it is. It feels realistic. The visuals is what I enjoy best. I just wish the earth didnt look dead haha.
I loved everything about this game, I usually hate puzzles in games but this was great, they weren't too hard and weren't too easy. The story was amazing, and the end had me in tears, half sad, half happy....overall I'd give this game a 10/10 and I've never given any game that high...the developers and everyone involved did amazing here.
Great review, I only bought it because it was about space and has ray tracing on PC. Now that I know more about it I'm looking forward to playing it.

Great game I downloaded it yesterday just out of curiosity without any type expectations now I can't stop playing.
All games are repetitive and no game is perfect the only thing that matters is if you're having fun with it.
I give this game a 9 out of 10 just based on how much I'm enjoying it.
I have saw this on my ps plus games catalog. I wasn’t interested for months but I though to clock into the pics they showed and the graphics were impressive but we’ve all been fooled by devs before. Then I searched RUclips for comments so many positive so sad as well. One of my favorite moments was starting the space shuttle. I once had a steel battalion with the command stick and all the flashy buttons pedals and the lights all lit up in sync it was beautiful and just pushing all the buttons on the shuttle gave me flash backs. Now, the game itself is fun beginning to end. The story is very intriguing in that ur human kind is devastated by global catastrophe and are at a last resort to save their planet. The journey u embark on only becomes more difficult and eery as you uncover issues among your mission. I don’t want to give anything away but this game was such a hidden gem. I love it! Like others I cried at the end play it through the story is so good but the gameplay is well done. I can’t wait for wats next with these devs this publisher. Very impressive game. I love story telling games but this was of course a mixture of both. Wow! Great story telling guys.
Speaking as a huge fan of ‘Adr1ft’ on the PS4, I’m really liking the look of this.
it's not a game for everyone. as many people said it's rather a movie that you can play, so consider it an alternative to a visit to the cinema. It has some stunning visuals and nice story, I love it
after playing a game where you shoot objects I was looking for something completely different, something to chill by, something emotional and immersive, I have made the right choice bying it. but again - I don't expect everyone to be satisfied with it

funny how the scientists back home can't even be bothered to help to launch the rocket, literally do everything.
I stopped playing after about 30 min. I just could not handle the terrible zero G level. It was like an even more annoying water level and I saw no reason to continue.
I changed the sensitivity level in the settings.

Playing it now on Xbox one x. I changed the settings to 1080p with 60 frames. I'd rather have frames. It's a fun relaxing game so far. Nothing to crazy but a fun game to relax and play. I love space travel. Plus it's on gamepass. Not a bad game at all. Just a fun time
I hope one day they make a game set in deep space where a station is full with humans turned creatures and an engineer encounters them while trying to fix the ship.

*quick edit: BIG SPOILERS* Can someone help me understand the plot a bit? From what I understand, the folks on the moon were faced with a choice due to a parts malfunction at Tombough: risk their lives to repair the big energy laser and maybe even travel to Earth, or use what little time they had left to abandon everything and take a chance on finding a better planet. They chose number two. But what confuses me is at some point an audio log makes it sound like there isn't actually an issue at Tombough, and MacArthur is just staging the whole scenario as an excuse to kickstart a space colonization mission that damns Earth. Can someone clarify/expand on this?
Also, BIG SPOILERS why did Sarah seal off the big tube thing just to prevent Isaac from having it? She was already doomed at this point, and she couldn't have predicted Rolf's arrival years later, so was this action purely to spite Isaac and preserve the tube just on the off-chance someone showed up later to use it for its rightful purpose of helping Earth?
The problem was that they realized that Helium 3 was limited on the moon and that it couldn't supply earth forever. They instead wanted to take as much Helium 3 with them and abandon earth as they considered it a lost cause and start a new life somwhere else in space. There was no issue at Tombourgh -it was all staged to get people to abandon the earth without making people revolt or feel guilty. Sarah assumed someone might come and redeploy the TMP, and that's why she locked it away.

Until recently I have not found a 'shooter' that I like on Stadia (and I used to love playing them on my PS3) - but have been playing 'Outrider - New Horizon' on Stadia and absolutely love it! So many free games to play, and little time to do it!

Graphics and ray tracing are so good in this one. I like the puzzles, very creative in some cases. A great game all around, especially if you snagged it on sale. I don't really agree that this game has its "moments of failure ..." I experienced zero fail.
Read Edgar Rice Burroughs John Carter of Mars instead, Helium comes into play in that series as well.

I just finished playing this the other day, I have the whole play through being uploaded to my channel and I honestly enjoyed this game. Though it could have had a little bit more to it but it was fun. I have a new episode uploading everyday this week

I came to find out if the game was worth playing but after 3 minutes stopped watching cause you are telling me the game story. Step by step. I´ll be back once i played the game.You convinced me that is worthy (i hope) during the first minute talking about your real experiences watching the launches . In this kind of story games to have someone spoil the storyline , even if is just the beginning it takes too much from the experience of playing it. As i said i´ll be back later.

Great game, graphics, puzzles, storyline, but would it be too much to ask to allow toggling between first person viewing angle and the viewing angle that predominates the game? Trying to follow behind the character as he races around a dangerous round tower with the clock ticking just became incredibly annoying as there is too much lag between the character's movements and the ability of the viewing angle to catch up. Also, in this one challenge, I took too much time initially, thinking that I could always return to the start spot once I ran out of time, but, no! the developers restarted me with a minute less, rendering completion of the game impossible for me. I was stuck with the option of beginning all over, hoping I might somehow perform some great miracle, or quitting. Call me a loser here.
If "I" put a car in a garage, I'd expect it to run like a race horse after 5 years.

This review sums it up although I’m a little less enthusiastic… the visuals are grate , story lines solid but you’ve really done everything the game has to offer within the first hour . A bit disappointed you only get to step out on the moon for a very brief stage in the game . Shame because I really thought the game was going to pick up towards the end but it just sorta flat lines . 5.5/10

Why would they send another shuttle to the remains of a ship that disintegrated on re entry?

The ending gave zero closure. Like annoyed me so much it changed my whole perspective on my play through from "man this is kinda tedious, but saving the world with science should be a challenge!" To "why the hell did I even do that?" Finish the game to see what I mean, or save some time, and don't.
This wasn't for me. Puzzles were to easy, story was soso, music didn't do anything. I finished it but will not remember it.

And my most emotionally hinged part was either the end with you finding Sarah or when you find the hologram in the monorail station and you see Issac stab sarah

After walking normally within moon base and pushing airlock button and going for walk outside when character suddenly loses about 80% of gravity and you can turn running in pretty much midair. No,no this game really didn't make feel like an astronaut :D

Shame that they didn't nail the science. Would love this game with proper science, but being somewhat knowledgable in astrophysics (and most other physics for that matter), I know that it would immediately break immersion for me. Shame, it really is not that hard to rely on proper science in science fiction (even though many crap authors/directors make it seem like that)

I played the whole game on Xbox one S today. It’s definitely not great performance but I still got a good experience out of it. This review points out having to do the same thing over and over...but the whole game is like 6 hours...so I would say who cares if a few of the puzzles feel similar. Most of it is varied well. It’s still a fun adventure. Play it....I will say, the final portion of the game had moments that ran like absolute doo doo, but i was able to get through it

I played this game when it first came out, and later, when the ending was added.
I enjoyed the puzzles, but performance was really killing it for me.
The rather basic environments in this game simply have no right to demand as much processing power as they do.
With the last-chapter release, I was hoping that having a year to improve things, the performance would be better, but it turned out that nothing in the old chapters was affected at all.
Worse, the final puzzle in the new part was unbeatable due to performance issues - something many players complained about, and was actually fixed a few weeks after the release.
Unfortunately, a couple days after that, a small new patch was release, and the game would instantly crash on startup.
I uninstalled it, and haven't tries reinstalling it since to check whether the issue was resolved.
In short, skip this game.
If you have VR (a long shot, I know) play Red Matter. If not, I am sure there are good Sci-Fi puzzle games out there that actually work reliably.

stephanie harrell so basically earth ran out of power and there was a blackout. Humanity colonizes the moon and drains it dry of helium 3. Then,the MPT breaks and the moon runs out of helium 3. You need to fix the MPT and get helium 3 back up and running. Oh, the MPT is how helium 3 travels back to earth

the atmosphere, story and music tbh.... if you like puzzle games, this is a bad one. if you like action games, this is a bad one, if you like platformers, this is a bad one.
but if you want a game with a good story and a shedload of atmosphere, this is exactly the game you want.
Takes 15 seconds for sound to travel 3 miles.
How can you criticize the game for needing maintenance and repairs to get the station operational, yet say it would be normal for an abandoned station? if it did not have the repair sections then people would complain it would be unreal due to the decay of the station? how anyone marks a game down for realism is beyond me. It deserves more then a 7, some of the science elements you got wrong anyway.
My scoring 5/10. This is a short and boring game. I'll start with the good stuff and that's mostly music and sounds. They're above average. Other good thing is general level/environment design. I really liked shuttle/station parts and was exited to play at that point. But then you get some Plasma cutter type thing what ever and then it all begins to crumble and this is were the bad starts. You'll cut same pins to open something all the time and it gets old really fast. Then you get to the moon and you'll encounter multiple really stupid immersion breaking things. Biggest of them all is general character control. It feels like really, really odd to run with the character and then you get out of the base and all of the sudden physics break and you'll lose about 80%of gravity within second of opening airlock. It feels absolutely stupid and I actually laughed controlling running outside. Then back inside and astronaut walks normally, wtf? Then you'll align satellites, multiple times. All are pretty much identical scenarios, but occasionally you'll see some really out of the place fire things happening, without atmosphere?!? After aligning about 8 of them you encounter first satellite which is broken and the platforming starts to occur. This really sucks with games physics and it'll last to the short ending of game. Plot begins strong, but turns to pretty much absolutely foreseeable and offers nothing special imo. Then it also feels like game is really aiming to be a puzzle game, but oh boy this is a aspect that sucks ass. There was one puzzle I was with for about three minutes, but literally everything else was seen during RUNNING with the character, this is how foreseeable everything is in here. Graphically game is quite odd. It generally looks pretty good, few times beautiful, but also occasionally really bland. Like devs would have seen that this is way too short experience and someone would've slapped stuff to prolong gameplay and it really, really feels like this when you're dragging same box in lame environment to the third location where you can jump on top of the box to get to some platform. I think I completed game in four hours or something like that. Easily in one afternoon. It could've been so good with so little things to change, but this all just falls flat on its face. I actually re-rate game at this point and give it 4,5/10 as the story sucks so bad.
Great game, except for a few BS moments. Thankfully, those moments are one-use gimmicks. The rover has Earth gravity, and there are invisible walls.
