I was in France earlier this year and went to a place called Futuroscope which reminded me of Universal Studios except without the IPs, besides the Rabbids. Lots of great simulators. There’s one roller coaster there, an Intamin family coaster with a pretty big drop track. Would be a good place for you to visit next time you’re in Europe!

Hey! Happy to see you review this park and its coaster since I was involved in the project.
I'd only like to highlight that even if it can make sense to combine Vulcania and Le Pal in one day if you are a credit-seeker american with a limited amount of time in the area, these two parks have a lot to offer and are worth visiting for a whole day each. If not more if you want to fully experience them! And that's not only valid for kids!
As you said, Vulcania is something between an an amusement park and an educational museum about not only volcanoes but also tornadoes, earthquakes, tsunamis etc. Basically forces of nature in general :) Unfortunately a lot still isn't translated to english but a French speaker does not have enough time in 1 day to experience every attraction + every movie on the giant screen (one of the biggest in Europe) + the Planetarium + a walk outside + the shows + the scientific presentations which I must say are remarkable and accessible at every age.
Le Pal is a beautiful and rather wide zoo (larger than you might think looking at the map) and amusement park, also offering lots of presentations about the animals at feeding times. I would really recommend the extra activity called "Keeper for a day (Soigneur d'un jour)" which I had the chance to experience. You will have to arrive early at the pak to spend 3h with the keepers, discover the backstages and help them on their daily routine as close to the animals as you've never been. Handfeeding the red pandas was the cutest experience in my life. If you want to try every attraction (the steam train for example hides a very nice unadvertised surprise!) + take your time to see all the animals, educational presentations and shows + be a keeper for a day, a single day won't be enough ;)

As a coaster and geology enthusiast, I really love this park. My last visit was more than 10 years ago, and their ride collection was pretty different at the time. No coaster, no dark rides, just a bunch of screen rides. The dragon attraction was the weakest of the bunch, and my favorite was a 4D theater that showed different scenarios of surrounding volcanoes waking up. All these hills around the park are actually volcanoes, it's not only the bigger one.
It seems that France has some very unique parks. I would love to go sometime.
I'm gonna take a stand here and say it loud: More museums need a rollercoaster!

But they didn't. They removed it and it's gone forever now. Just reminding you to make sure you understand.
I've spent an entire day there and I don't think this is to much: if you want to ride every major attractions, visit the museums parts, see some shows or just chill there it's the perfect amount of time

It would be cool if a place like Springs Preserve gets a straddle coaster
This is so cool because usually museums are a one and done. They are not like parks where you to rode stuff, you normally see stuff and leave and don't come back because you already saw it. But here they added rides.

I understand you only go to a park for a few hours if it is smaller and stretched for time, but I've NEVER gone to a park and not spent basically the whole day there until I've done everything. Doesn't matter if I was traveling. Just really comes across weird. How can you review something without being there? No normal enthusiast will spend that much money to then bail and spend more money. It comes across as tone def honestly as you guys do this all the time. Do you even enjoy the places you visit or is it just about the coaster count. But of course everyone can do what they like, and if yall have fun doing it this way, more power to you. I just don't see how you can review it without truly experiencing it. Biggest downside of this channel in my opinion. Reviews before having the experience to review (the park, a coaster is obviously different. You guys always are great on a coaster by coaster basis).
The only exception is if I have a season pass to say busch gardens but I'm roadtripping to orlando. Might stop by for a few hours but that's because I've been there so many times before.
Your feedback is appreciated, sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with our park review videos at times. We try to spend as much time at parks as possible, and do as much as possible. There have been times though where we are tight on time and if we want to visit a location it means not having quite as much time as we would like. That being said, most times we plan to spend a full day at a location we are visiting for the first time. It’s only when the park is on the smaller side that we know we won’t need more than a few hours; it purely depends on what they have to offer.
@@CoasterStudios I appreciate and mostly understand the response. I guess I just feel like I would rather skip the park until I have the proper time to experience it. You often state a park is done in __ hours and I always think your estimates are a bit on the low side, especially the same smaller parks that I have been to. A 3 hour park to you is often like a 5-6 hour park for me and most of my family and friends that are into amusement parks, and I'd most likely stay longer at most of them. I do however understand that you never know for sure if/when you will be back, so maybe it's just a difference in philosophy on it (which isn't necessarily a good or bad thing). Though I feel like you guys have more ease in revisitng these far away places than most folk would.
I'm sorry if my criticism has come across as harsh, because overall I think you guys do a great job and show light on some interesting parks and rides. But some of these smaller parks really deserve some extra time in my opinion, especially for a review. It's like reviewing a story based videogame before beating it. Nobody worth their salt reviews The Last Of Us while only playing half the game. I guess that is the best way for me to put it. Is it better to mostly/fully experience 10 parks, or partially experience 12?

@@benisjammin626 you're totally fine, and so glad you enjoyed the Dubai series! I totally get that the amount of time one person might spend at a park is going to be different than another. One thing I'll add is because we visit so many parks, we're a lot more likely to skip rides that are cookie cutter, such as a flat ride you can experience at many other parks. We try to stick to the unique attractions. So if you're trying to do stuff like that, it will obviously result in needing more time. The pace you go at definitely also makes a different- we might move a lot faster than a group with several kids, for instance. So it all depends! We appreciate the feedback :)
I like it, with the theme. Seems like more of an educational place, but it's someplace I would visit if I was nearby.
There is not one volcano near Vulcania, there is 80 volcanos ! 😉
Vulcania just feels like a place specifically designed for kindergarten school trips

They're just not used to people entering the park this late
That was one thing we noticed was it seemed like a perfect stop for elementary school field trip groups. We even noticed some while we were there.
