Well the Champions will always have a rock bottom moment because they play in more competitions. Last season for Liverpool it was probably losing at Anfield to Atletico Madrid, the season before for Man City was probably losing to Spurs on away goals in the UCL, the season before that when Man City lost 3-0 at Anfield in the UCL or losing 1-0 to Wigan in the FA Cup.
It's the most enjoyyable league for a reason,no matter how many win you have,it will still be unpredictable to know who will win the next game,i mean for fuck sake who would expect current league holders at that time to concede 7 against Villa?

@@RafaelSantos-di5yw my point is scoring 7 goals proved to be important because if liecester and chelsea both won liverpool wouldnt have got top 4 so it was important to score those goals
Top half in our first season back after administrations, relegations and near liquidation and you think finishing 9th is so shameful after just getting promoted?
As a chelsea fan, I dont think the 5-2 loss against west brom was rock bottom, because we had a new manager and things were beginning to look up. However, Chelsea's 2-0 loss against Leicester was truly rock bottom because of how easily chelsea were beat, and then the sacking of Lampard leaving us without a manager
I’d say losing 1-0 at Anfield to Burnley was more of a rock bottom moment for Liverpool because they still were top of the league after losing 7-2, that's when things really started going downhill.
Arsenal being eliminated by Villarreal, among other things, guaranteed that we'll be going without European football for the first season in over 2 decades. So yeah, it is our rock bottom moment. The fact that Villarreal went on to win the EL (with our former manager no less) definitely adds insult to injury.
I'd say Wolves' worst moment was Jiminez's injury. We had very few ways to get goals following that, alongside a possible loss in morale, and it was just confirmed by the loss of Europe for the season with our struggle through the winter. I'm not trying to make an excuse for us (we played bad quite often), I'm just saying that Jiminez getting injured was the hole that slowly sank our ship.
Losing 6-1 at home to Spurs is easy to say that that was our rock bottom. But I think losing to 20th place Sheffield United, who had 1 win the whole season might arguably be worse. Not to mention we were top of the league at the time as well.
As a Liverpool fan I can say that our lowest point this season was losing 0-1 to Fulham. It was our sixth home defeat in a row and we were 8th in the table. How the hell we managed to pull ourselves together and finish third I will never know. I’m so proud of the boys!
Another for Man Utd would probably be that we had the chance to send our most hated rivals to the Europa League but didn't. That's a terrible stain on what was an above average season for us.
We had zero intrest in that game. After a goal We backed out more in that match than we did under Jose. Ig we didn't want to over exert ourselves, especially since Maguire is out, we don't have a bench which can allow us to have a few injuries.
@@youtubeisnotajob4103 In hindsight no one will care about it, just like when we lost 4-1 to them at Old Trafford, no one cared because we won the league.

As a Liverpool fan, my worst moment was losing 2-0 to Everton at Anfield with Richarlison, a player I absolutely despise by the way, scoring in the opening minutes. Everton hadn't won at Anfield this century before that game, and the loss made me convinced that top 4 was impossible. Good thing that miracles do exist so jokes on them!
Imo the lowest point of man united s season was in the ucl, losing 2-1 against istanbul baseksehir and then bottling 2nd place to leipzig, the 6-1 was bad against spurs but dont forget that man u started the season by losing 3-1 to crysal palace, scraping a 3-2 win against brighton and then losing 6-1 why not mention the 4-2 demolition against liverpool
Because the 3-1 CRY could be explained by lack of preseason, the 4-2 Liv didn't matter for Utd in terms of league Position. I agree with the CL one though. But in the PL it has to be 6-1 Spurs.
Newcastle, 2nd 3-0 loss to Brighton with no shots on target in either game. Felt like the death nail when Fulham were only 3 points behind and had just beaten Liverpool
Well my Football Manager save got one thing accurate to real life, someone put seven past Crystal Palace (although in that case it was my United, including a pair of goal of the month contenders from Van De Beek). Also considering where they ended up I feel like OGS got a bit of sweet revenge over Jose in the end
I know the 7-2 against Villa was extremely embarrassing, but I think the most rock bottom moment for liverpool was the loss against Fulham at Anfield. It was the sixth time losing at home in a row at that point after having been unbeaten at Anfield in the league for idk how many matches, slowly falling down the table.
As a Leeds fan I’d actually say the smashing palaces gave us was rock bottom, we actually played pretty decent against Man U apart from the first 20 mins
