Very talented player! He had a huge potential, great skills and a worldclass technique. But there wasn't a big breakthrough. I missed it. Well, he never played for a European top team like Barcelona.
@sansone626 robona is in portughesse, in brazil is called the ROBONA, but in EUROPE is wrap araound, another skill in europe is named the "rainbow" in brazil is called the " braziliana" :)
@harmonicasantana , I guess u didn't know him during his peak, when he played for Frankfuth and Fernabache (sp?). Okocha was already done when he moved to bolton.
That move is good when attacking, but I, as an amateur defender, wouldn´t do it in the defense as he Did, that´s why he was one of the best players in the world
@AlexzandrSpringvale I disagree completely. The Robona (which it is typically called) is a sign of great skill. You fake a kick with your left foot so the defender is confused for half a second, and then wrap your other foot around to blast it while the defender is still trying to think. Works every time.
let's be honest here during JJ's prime, most of the leaders in the best teams did not care for black players b/c of racism. Don't believe me? watch a RUclips video on Spain football racism
@Newmaidumosa That Ronaldinho is the Brazilian Okocha. You cannot compare these two players. Ronaldinho is an actual world legend. That is more than you can say about Okocha. Best club he ever played for was Bolton. Ronaldinho has been in Barcelona, Milan and has even been elected FIFAs player of the year. /watch?v=_dCjy2ye3Xk
@MatthewCeltic1991121 a better version of it though. The ball goes to a great height and covers great distance for such technique. I must confess as a pass addict, that move Jay Jay did was pure class. I haven't seen any move like that rather from him. I'd like to call that a Rabona 2.0. :)
Love it at the end when the guy is kissing his ass by saying "beautiful .. that was a nice one, eh?" and how Okocha reacts to it with a rather negative "ahh" :D
@EnzoCheLatino Pele never played for a big club. Maradona played for who, Napoli? Sorry, you're talking a lot of garbage. If no ''big club'' came for Okocha, that's THEIR loss not Okocha's. Perhaps they couldn't stand the thought of their best player/playmaker being a Nigerian?
The greatest Jay Jay, I remember one of his interviews, he said racism in Europe made him to dribble them and make them crawl 😁
Jay brutally honest. It's to show off.
When Jay Jay does it..it's entertaining!
jay jay...i dont know why you aint up there with the likes of messi and zidane man...you are just tooo good
Absolute Legend, always played football with a smile as well !
@فرنسيس 🤣
Jay Jay Okocha The African technical gifted player indeed🙌🏽
A very underrated legend of the beautiful game
Quaresma always uses that move..... he gets it further but they both make it look so easy..... love it when he says ''just to show off''
What Jay is doing is not as easy as it looks. Only he can do it like that, thats why he is a legend.
Great Great underrated player!!
A legend! It is a shame he never won African best player
I am very very lucky to have seen one of the greatest legend of this game pat joburg
When it's in u and pure talent u can do over and over again without a mistake......the guy is mesmerized how it work with the energy on it kkkkkk
“Well it’s just to show off” 😂 Legend
Le joueur africain Le plus technique de tous les temps- c Le meilleur
Que dieu te benis mon frere tu es inteligent👌👌👌👌🙏🙏
Very talented player! He had a huge potential, great skills and a worldclass technique. But there wasn't a big breakthrough. I missed it. Well, he never played for a European top team like Barcelona.

That move is good when attacking, but I, as an amateur defender, wouldn´t do it in the defense as he Did, that´s why he was one of the best players in the world
In Brazil we used call this kind of pass as "Letra" can be translated like "Letter" in english. It's just an curiosity.
Okocha invented it and you know about it in Brazil afterwards. The reason JJ is a legend.
Jay Jay was good they had to name him twice
He's to underrated
Hard move to make!
this skill called "Rabona"
alongside Kanu

hes better than c.ronaldo
Yeah, haha
@singasadsong I don't think JJ created this trick. I think I've seen a clip of someone doing that trick 20, 30 years ago, or even older.

@EnzoCheLatino Pele never played for a big club. Maradona played for who, Napoli?
Sorry, you're talking a lot of garbage. If no ''big club'' came for Okocha, that's THEIR loss not Okocha's. Perhaps they couldn't stand the thought of their best player/playmaker being a Nigerian?
man how can he do it so far
why is this player never played in a big team??
That's not hard to do, but to make passes doing that with accuracy is very hard. He makes it look easy.
rabanah*
