the lost gallery is a unused version of the gallery room in the game with longer hallways that implies that there were originally going to be more portrait ghost than we got in the final game the outside the mansion part is referring to the front yard of the mansion as you see in the opening cutscene. the front yard of the mansion is not able to be explored as the front doors can not be used by the player the depiction's of portrait ghost before death. there are picture of people on the walls in the mansion walls. like the ones you see after blowing out the purple flames in the first room you fight ghost in. people think those pictures are the portrait ghost before they supposedly died.
Elh was supposedly the prototype boss of the graveyard which Bogmire had replaced. He has some attack animations too and people have came up with theories that he was some sort of water boss similar to Chaos in the Sonic franchise.
Actually the “beta game over screen” was never meant to be a game over screen, it was never even in the game at all or planned to be a game over screen it was just made for that E3
I say otherwise considering it is called test however maybe they were poking fun at the idea of Luigi and daisy being lovers before it being commonly depicted
Not about the video itself, but more of a criticism of your audio: try to swallow the saliva in your mouth and drink water before talking, and over-enunciate when you speak. I find this helps when I record audio to avoid a lot of noises people tend to find annoying/uncomfortable, i.e. mouth noises. Getting a mic sock could also help with this, and a pop filter. I don't have a professional set up at home either, so I understand how expensive these things are. Some of your audio balancing is way off, especially with the background audio snippets. I would look for peaks in the audio on the wave form and try to reduce those segments to -10 in your decibel range, as they may accidentally be going into the positive. (RIP headphone-users, essentially.) Sorry for the criticism, but I hope it was at least constructive. The video content itself was interesting and well-put together, and I can see you having a lot of potential with future projects.
Fun fact when Mario says to Luigi what’s the holdup while he’s down in the well that was a line that was actually improvised by Charles Martinet himself
It's pronounced to-tock-a not totoka Also the van gour is not a theory Also lugis shoelaces relates to how this is the only game where luigi had modeld shoolases in other games andnrenders he doesn't. The super mario 64 samples were from when luigi gets an item it has the noise of jumping into a painting the noise of getting attacked by the dog could not be reused because at the time m64ds didn't exist. There is a picture of chancey alive as a baby so I do think that they died as a baby. Sadly the depressed Luigi was never a game over screen it was just a way to close off the demo. It could have possibly been a game over screen but from what I know it was never intended to be one. Another thing is that the 24 hour time limit was not confirmed to be why that clock is there, also it could be refurring to a commercial that say you only have one night to save mario
Fun fact:The only reason why the gameboy horror has a clock in it was so people who played the demo wouldn't keep the other person in line waiting. When your turn is over E.gadd boots you to the main the title screen ready for the next person I line. That is the function of the Gameboy horror In e3
Like majora’s mask which gives you 72 hours to defeat skullkid, but the reason why the 24 hour time limit because Nintendo would not like it, besides this game has a lot of prototypes, like the one in E3 2001 interview, that disc contains everything in the beta. The Basher,Chef ghost, lost galleries and other beta stuff is stuck in a full beta build of Luigi’s mansion. Many games I know have datamines like that.

It’s just a thing from space world to promote the game. That’s all... The portrait ghost we’re alive at one point because you can see people like Nevil in a very much alive state in one of the paintings in the Mansion... The rideable Poltergust is in the Hidden Mansion of the Pal release along with a bunch of changes. The Safari Ghost is a complete lie! And was in a Nintendo magazine. Why they completely lied? We may never know... THE MOON IS A FAKKEEEE When I was younger, I was pissed that I found out I could never light up the attic. Swanky Box makes a really good video about the unused long lost multiplayer mode. Go watch it! Ghost sex? The Game Boy Horror makes a joke about her dying in her sleep. Luigi’s hanging shadow is obviously fake and it’s literally just the camera panning up to Luigi and based on how the shadows work in this game, it’ll seem like he’s hanging. E. Gad is weirdly cold... The time limit is just for the demo to make sure everyone gets there fair share of playtime...
@@VGkingMangekyo Just a heads up. I’m going to be adding this kinda stuff across the board. I hate you hating not knowing this very interesting stuff :) (And yes, that was A LOT of words)...
The Safari Ghost was a rumor that in the Beta, there was planned to be a ghost in the Safari themed room that if you lost the battle, it should play a cutscene of the Safari ghost cutting Luigis head off and hanging it up on the wall like a deer head on a wall. And after me believing this for a long long time, it was apparently a hoax, and was proven to be fake sadly :(
a handful of these are missing some info, one example is that poltergust IS ridable in european versions of the hidden mansion (this is just one example but yeah) in addition a lot of these "scrapped" and "beta" things are actually theories and not confirmed, in fact a few have been pretty much disproven (also, the lost portrait rooms are beta versions of portrait rooms that a lot of people know about so im not sure how you didnt find anything for that one)
Maybe Luigi becomes depressed in the bad ending because Mario dies if the 24 hours pass? Since they do say that Bowser died, so in this universe, death is a real thing?
Hey some well constructed points here king. I'd say you could have sped up the video some, and added in a few more graphics. But overall a nice video mate
Regarding the lost galleries, it's likely it means for the unused maps or early versions of the galleries from Luigi's Mansion. These early versions have shorter or longer versions with some being so long that it means it might have had either more or less ghost then in the final game. Regardless it's interesting.
Maybe elh was a boss who possesses the elements, if they realize he doesn't have the element of water, maybe you had to face him several times, the first time you would defeat him with water to give you the element of fire and then, You would defeat him again to give you the element of ice
The poltergust is ridable in the European version of Luigi's Mansion, in the boolossus battle, Luigi rides the poltergust trying to shoot and suck up the boos. I don't know why it was changed in the European version, and why the North American version doesn't have that feature.
Late answer here, but this is probably because the PAL version of the Hidden Mansion is what it was supposed to be, but didn't get it finished in time. Since PAL came out later they had more time to implement what they wanted (flipped mansion, harder Boolossus, etc.).

- Reused Super Mario 64 samples refers to the game using some instruments from Super Mario 64 in its soundtrack, as Super Mario 64 was the most recent 3D Mario title. - Bowser having died refers to Paper Mario on the Nintendo 64, in which Bowser seemingly dies after the final battle after Peach's castle collapses. It's deliberately left ambiguous as to whether Bowser died 100% and so it left the possibility of him surviving open.
"I guess you can't plan for this sort of thing." Is what Luigi says after scanning Bogmire's gravestone.
I actually don’t know how i didn’t find that, thank you
Yeah Tim found it on The runaway guys when he played for the first time

I feel like the Daisy Poster is proof that Luigi was originally gonna save Daisy, which would have been nice for me because Daisy is adorable
Seems like it would be an interesting idea, i can see though why they decided to keep the Mario plot line
I say otherwise considering it is called test however maybe they were poking fun at the idea of Luigi and daisy being lovers before it being commonly depicted
No
It wasn't
As the file says it was just a test
Daisy was never planned for the game
Also Mario was going to be the main character before Luigi
So if anything Peach would make more sense
Actually, we know why the coin out of bonds is there. It's so there's always a coin loaded in case you take damage and need to drop some.
You know that actually does make sense, thanks for the input
The safari ghost is a joke in a Nintendo Power magazine article about Luigi's Mansion.
this game is mysterious to me on its on, I love the beta stuff
