Thanks! RUclips is WAY too full of themselves these days. People NEED educational content like this. I appreciate your channel. I am doing my best to spread the word as well.
That was so interesting! Thank you for going through the breakdown of the lamb cut by cut….its so important to understand where our food comes from…….my sons were in awe of your skill!!
Great video! I've been doing some home butchering off and on for a few years now and this is the best video I've seen yet for how to butcher a lamb. Really well done 👍
Excellent job and explanation of you butchering a quality lamb, keep sheep myself and currently pay my local abbitoir to butcher our freezer trade lambs but want to get into butchering them myself, have to say I like your style, cuts and presentation.
Great vid. I am one of those who would normally turn off at this stage but as there was no vid of the lamb being killed … I found it very informative . Watched the whole show. I can see no reason for this to be censored. What a crazy world we live in. We are bombarded with wars and atrocities from around the world but seeing how a lamb is butcher?!
Great video. My 6yr old saw a lamb carcass in a hotel just yesterday evening and couldn't understand how it 'gets made into meat'... so perfect timing to show him this video later.
Had lots of neck stews and stuffed/rolled breast, as a child being dragged up in the 50’s and 60’s. Butchers pretty much gave those parts away and I love ‘em.
Thanks.. I enjoy all your videos Chris, but this one was just brilliant 👏 I used to work in a butchers and I come from a dairy farming background ..I feel a change in the wind and it’s all down to people like you and Zoe
This was a great video, thank you, really informative, we took our first two lambs to the abattoir in December and had them butcher for us but would love to attempt to butcher our own one day x
Really enjoyed it Chris, you made that look easy….I’ve tried butchering things in the past for myself and normally looks like a dogs chewed it 😂 FairPlay to you 👌
Thanks mate. Thinking of keeping some of my own lambs and beef for ourselves anymore so really appreciate the insight. Really enjoy the videos from Galway 🇮🇪 🤙
Fabulous thank you very interesting content! When I was a kid we used to buy 1/2 a lamb and 1/2 a pig a time from a local farmer ( ready butchered) I used to love helping dad fit it all in the freezer! Strange memories but happy ones!
Chris I have to say that this has been one of the best videos that you have done, my mouth is salivating wanting lamb. Everyday is a learning day and I love learning with you & Zoë & Miss Indie of course.
Thanks! Enjoy all your videos so was always going to be watching. However found this very interesting as you cut the sheep up differently than how I learnt to as a farm hand or how my own sheep are done by the local butcher. I really like your method and style, both your technique and the cuts which you made. Love my hair sheep as so much easier to keep. I'm in Australia and running 100 head of coloured Meatmaster type clean skin sheep with a dash of Awassi.
That was fantastic. You did a great job. I remember helping my dad and grandad process sheep when I was a whole lot younger. Haven't had the opportunity to see it since. Loved your commentary.
Bravo Chris. Although been in the hospitality business all my working life there is always something new to learn. Thanks and hope yo go from strength to strength 💪 🙏
Thank you!!! I haven't been brave enough to do that myself. Now I'm thinking of letting someone do the dispatch, then I'll do the rest. Good to see a normal person do it, not the hulked-out bearded Butcher's! Although, I'm sure you are stronger than I am!
Always good to see how others do their cutting. When I get lamb from my mate I take a couple of steaks from the top of the legs and also cut across the shoulder blade, turning each shoulder into two roasts. As there's just two of us it makes sense to get more smaller cuts than having one big one. Thanks for the excellent video.
I’m so excited to start raising sheep in a couple years and help people to know where their food comes from! This video was very informative. Thank you!
If you found it so informative, it would of been nice to give him £2 as this video will be demonized. If your strapped for cash, I'm sorry. At least you left a comment
Thank you so much for showing us how you process a lamb. I really love to eat lamb. Love the taste of it. But, I don’t eat it as often as I’d like because it’s so expensive here in the US.
loved this... you ever thought about a "term time" or "seasonal" butcher? Just an idea - i know a few people that can only work certain times of the year could work out for a small set up like your own This was awesome though - thanks
Hi Chris and Zoe. Chris, a great job cutting a lamb up! We would love one, if you ship them? If you get sorted and start selling to the public let us know. You tube has really taught you well, lets hope you don't get demonetised for it!! Malc and Ann North Lincs xx
Kidneys are delicious! Well, it depends on your taste really haha. They're definitely good for eating. In Argentina the person grilling the lamb is usually who gets one.

pleased you liked it, thank you!

Loved the video. It was really nice to see all the different cuts you get. Very educational. Thank you. ❤❤
Thanks from a small dorper and boer goat breeder in Queensland. Love your content and your honesty.

strange isnt it?

Great butchery from a butcher myself. Love watching, keep up the great work!!🤩
Had lots of neck stews and stuffed/rolled breast, as a child being dragged up in the 50’s and 60’s. Butchers pretty much gave those parts away and I love ‘em.
Can't beat it for flavour and tenderness!!
Thanks.. I enjoy all your videos Chris, but this one was just brilliant 👏 I used to work in a butchers and I come from a dairy farming background ..I feel a change in the wind and it’s all down to people like you and Zoe

Glad you enjoyed it
This was great! Never thought about how meat is prepared
Excellent video you did a bang on job explaining the butchering of the lambs thanks for sharing
Excellent video Chris, one of your best!
I think the neck is one of the most underrated cuts, you just can beat it for stews!
Totally agree!
This was a great video, thank you, really informative, we took our first two lambs to the abattoir in December and had them butcher for us but would love to attempt to butcher our own one day x
Thank you very informative now I know which part I need to shop for 👍

Great video keep doing what your doing that lamb looks AMAZING
I think you are right about people not understanding where food comes from. Your video does make me hungry for lamb though 😊
Really enjoyed it Chris, you made that look easy….I’ve tried butchering things in the past for myself and normally looks like a dogs chewed it 😂 FairPlay to you 👌
Great video, well done trying to educate people on where their food comes from.
Great video Kriss 👏
16:47 The neck fillet! Yes! Always look at the neck on any lambs I send.

Thanks mate. Thinking of keeping some of my own lambs and beef for ourselves anymore so really appreciate the insight. Really enjoy the videos from Galway 🇮🇪 🤙

its pretty rewarding
Great video no messing about talking double talk as literally every other video would. Quality
I've watched one of your previous butchering videos. They are fascinating and you make it look easy. Though I am sure it is far from.
This was very well done!!
Bravo Chris. Although been in the hospitality business all my working life there is always something new to learn. Thanks and hope yo go from strength to strength 💪 🙏
Cracking video. Cheers Chris
Was wondering if the black was the dorper mix at the beginning of the video. Awesome that it was the one you end up breaking down. Great video!!
mad how it worked hey!
Thank you!!! I haven't been brave enough to do that myself. Now I'm thinking of letting someone do the dispatch, then I'll do the rest. Good to see a normal person do it, not the hulked-out bearded Butcher's! Although, I'm sure you are stronger than I am!
