One of the most ferocious all ireland hurling finals a great Galway team I was a 16 year old Antrim lad rooting for The Men of the West after our 6 point loss to Kilkenny in the semi final.
Gz the amount of KK wides in the first half,if Cody was in charge(i know he was probably just retired around then)-he'd have the culprits shot at half time-let alone taken off!😂😅
It's a shame they didn't have a competitive Connacht hurling Championship. But mostly all football in Connacht. It do Galway no harm going into the semi-final. Even Antrim had a Competitive Ulster hurling final after 1989 , when in 1992 Down beat Ulster hurling final. Derry beat them as well.
