  • In this speech, Dr Rakib Ehsan, a British commentator and author of "Beyond Grievance: what the Left gets wrong about ethnic minorities", explains how Britain failed to offer a policy of integration of immigrants.
As he explains, without a focus on the shared values of the nation-state, immigration can risk tearing a society apart.
This was a speech from MCC Brussel's special conference "The Diversity Obsession: Can Europe survive multiculturalism?".

Instead became nations of tribes. Diversity failed because the local culture was demeaned, belittled, cancelled. The culture that made these countries prosperous and a magnet for others, was smothered and other primitive divisive cultures promoted to the point of becoming compulsory.

Values are a start but history, rituals, holidays, practises, worship, interests, productivities are all necessary to be part of a family. A nation IS an extended family of people with traits. Isn't this difference & uniqueness what we LOVE about travel - that people are different from us??!! Thats the whole point of going to other places!! I don't want to travel and everywhere I go looks like New York!

I choose not to go where it is culturally acceptable to treat women or animals very badly.
Now third world "values" concerning women and animals are firmly established in Sweden and it is no longer safe for women to be in a public space in daytime or to leave a dog in a locked car or fenced garden in urban areas. The veneer of tolerance is wearing very thin and the loathing of "diversity" is increasing exponentially.

Excellent points. I myself wrote, in an essay in a course on multiculturalism that I took, about the laissez-faire approach to various cultures living together in Western countries when they had open hostilities between them in their country of origin. It is an example of the arrogance and immature attitude of those that implement such policies.

What about the radical and extremist speeches given in mosques across the UK, far more extremist than anything on the far right. In fact, the far right has always been borne out of a reaction to extremism on the other side. You want to diminish the extreme right then first you must diminish radical religious views and actions as well as the actions of the radical left.

Yes, the preoccupation with the "extreme right" (ie not postmarxist) is ludicrous.
Western Europe is invaded by aggressive clans driven by values rooted in pre- medieaval cultures. Now that is really something for the triggerwarning dependent LGBT communities and other progressive identitarians to cry about.

Integration strategies are a good idea but the very simple question that would follow for English people is why? Why do we need to do this, we're trying to keep a roof over our head, maintain families, communities and the country, why do we need to become a product of social engineering? Why do we want different competing religions and hostile ideologies in our country? Why do we need to be constantly be taught about racism around people we had no choice over whether they came? Why are we adding these extra things to make life harder for the English while also reducing their demographics? It doesn't make any sense and will certainly lead to the destruction of the English. This should frighten all people in England because without English people you're not living in what you thought was England anymore, you're living somewhere else, imagine London but country wide.
