The size and scope of the map on this game is amazing to me! You can drive from Tampa all the way to NY then over to LA! Pretty cool for a game that only costs 12-15 bucks!
I have the the fastest internet in my area. AT&T even told us that the cables used from our wifi are over 30 years out of date and need updated, but of course they won't. So we're paying for high speed connections, but have a download speed of 485 Kbps. That is complete TRASH. I don't have a problem with it being online only except for the fact it will be unplayable for me.
Still remember the first time when i drove the map (Crew1) coast to coast. Best OW moment ever, and thats when i fall in love with The Crew. Played it over 2000h in 1.5 years

Except that the devs have showed the customization in detail. Theres an in-depth livery editor for all vehicles, all cars have similar customization to The Crew 1 in terms of cosmetic parts. Perfomance updates get dropped after races and you can crossfit them to different vehicles of the same class. Slightly similar to the system in Crew 1, but greatly improved in my opinion
Firri April I’d like to correct you on that. The only performance parts you can use across each vehicle type are the ones you win from skill challenges. The ones you win from races are restricted to the vehicle you used for the said race far as i know.
After having some time with the closed beta I can say that the game is ridiculously fun, from flying in formations with groups giving out smoke trails in planes to driving across America the game is great for any fan of vehicles and driving however the constantly online feature lets it down, I would still recommend buying however.
How can you not like this, driving from the Florida keys to Seattle, I mean come on people it’s insane. I still remember racing games where you were limited to sum tracks and a few cars. As a kid I dreamt about a game like this......
Coming from someone who played the entire first one and stuck around hoping they would fix the issues. Do NOT buy this game. Maybe on sale if you have friends to join and mess around. The physics will most likely be the same or worse, rubber band AI, weird reward system for upgrades, major cities and landmarks with a whole lot of nothing in between, traffic that you can hit full speed, you get a scratch on your car and the traffic car continues on its route. I get it’s an arcade game but damn, nothing is realistic. It’s good for enjoying scenery with friends and that’s all I’m giving it. So much potential and they throw it away with a quick release without working on all the bad. Sorry Ubisoft, you don’t have my trust to buy this one.
Adam Hanneman All of this has been fixed in the second game and I know this because I played the closed beta. The crew 2 only downgraded in landmarks available to see.
AgarTron I watched every bit of ever closed beta recorded. I can see all physics have not been improved at all, even worse with switching vehicle types on the go, and they did not fix the AI rubber band at all. Same with the nothingness between cities. I literally saw no fixes besides graphics. I WANT this game to be good, but the rubber band and horrible physics drew me away from the first. I even recorded rubber banding at its finest, I had a massive lead since the AI crashed, then out of no where going 100+ on the highway, 2nd place spawned in front of me. Then took me forever to catch up till the final stretch then he seemed to slow down to basically stop so I can pass. It’s things like that, that literally ruin a game.
i can confirm what +Adam Hanneman is saying, when i asked a ubisoft employee to tell me the physics changes from TC1 to TC2, he told me they downgraded the physics because consoles 1st they sell the most right, so to improve the graphics and have a slightly more detailed map with somewhat better sounds etc etc they needed to cut something, so the physics were mostly cut that physics cut was caused directly by the current gen console CPU, which is 2x amd athalon low power lappy processors stuck together at 1.8ghz base clock in day 1 xb1 and ps4, and then a scorching 2.23ghz in the xb1x and ps4pro....... but the fanboys can only see graphics lol meanwhile my old 3570k was at 4.84ghz daily OC for 5+ years and now i'm with a 6700k 4.6ghz probably 5+ more years, so i laugh at this gen of consoles

5 things that might put you off. 5. Always Online means you won't be able to play at all if there's an outage in your area. 4. If you like the multiplayer you might be disappointed to know that there is a limit to 4 players per crew and only 8 players per session. 3. While the physics are a step-up, a lot of vehicles feel like the engine is in the back of the car, which can cause unpleasant oversteering. The gravity is also very poorly designed and cars are almost sucked to the ground like some kind of vacuum after jumps. 2. The progression system is a bit too rewarding and you can max out your vehicles far too quickly and share the highest tier components accross vehicles of the same class, meaning there isn't much of an incentive to play all of the content as you will already be maxed out too early and won't be rewarded further. (Except for special vehicles). 1. There isn't a lot of physical customization, and there aren't a massive selection of vehicles compared to other racing games. Theres a huge variety in vehicle types, but only a small variety of vehicles within each category, especially planes and boats.
HITMAN I think the biggest barrier for you might be the online only part. Hopefully it's a good game, because it's got a lot of potential. Physics can be customized a bit but can sometimes feel back-heavy, aside that though there isn't anything that detrimental other than the gravity being annoying.

I'm not convinced by this game, probably it's gonna have the same treatment that all Ubisoft games have: launched unfinished & unpolished, gets periodic content & gameplay updates for the next 3 year, with season pass. Let's wait and see
The crew had a lot of the best cars behind a paywall that was pretty crap, so I’m guessing more of that. It’s Ubisoft after all . I hope this time around it has no glitchy achievements
When my buddy and I were playing together and there was a bear nearby it was only nearby for 1 of us. Also, when we found a parts crate, the first time it was there for both of us, but every time after that it was there for 1 person, but not the other. And the first crate for me was a green and it was a purple for him.

Ive been in both alphas and betas and have 300 hours in the crew 1 here my main points pros: vehicle choices, vehicle physics, better and deeper vehicle customization, FREE DLC's, variety of racing/ stunt disciplines, big map, decent graphics and great performance on weak systems. cons: wall riding abuse, lack of an area where people can meet and 'hang out' online, slow and clunky menues, weird and stupid checkpoint bollards, unlogic car pricing ( pagani zonda F costing more than zonda R? It makes sense because you have access to the Zonda R discipline sooner than the Zonda F Discipline but its still weird), lack of side roads (it feel like youre forced to stick to motorways 80% of the time if you want to go for fun roadtrips), kind of pointless loot crates scattered around the map, weird upgrade system All in all i think this game will be great for casual players, especially if youre looking for something to fool around in with your friends while also having an extensive campaign aspect. However for more hard core the crew fans this game could turn out to be a dissapointment if glitches and bugs like wall riding ruin the competitive aspect too much. I feel like the crew 2 ( i think its a new developer team) has some aspect which are worse than in the crew1. It takes longer to navigate through the menues and map and it takes longer to enter your HQ which is super annoying. after every event theres this mini cutscene with an annoying guitar riff which just takes unnecessarily long and part farming is something which will be a huge part of this game which i am no fan off. However most negative points seem to be easily fixable and nothing major and shouldnt massively impede the overall gaming experience. If I were you I would wait for a few weeks after release to see what the general feedback is on the game before buying.
Always online is a deal breaker for people with inconsistent internet like me. I'm not paying full price for a game that I won't be able to play whenever I wanted to.

This is what I do not understand, last year our internet went down for a day and I still played the crew by myself. Nothing was different other than the fact there was no one else in the game besides me, but it was still 100% playable. So idk?
The game has no multiplayer lobby or PvP mode at the launch, its like you can play single player or just invite your friends which is not worth for a huge price tag and you need a constant internet for a single player game is a big problem here.
Pvp wont be at game launch gotta wait till winter 2018 1st free dlc is in September which you get the hovercraft boat just like battlefield V is doing free dlc seems like half the game companies are 💯💁

no i asked a ubisoft insider i knew about the state of the physics going from TC1 to TC2 he told me they had to cut at least 50% of the physics code to fit better graphics bigger map more stuff on that map with more detail etc etc who do we have to thank for that problem? whoever thought putting a 1.8ghz low power laptop 8 core processor into a "next gen" console was severly mentally handicapped
The number one thing any previous the crew player should know is that there are no sport or hardcore driving options. No half way decient player would play with all driving help on in the original crew, and now it's locked as the default and only. Being able to freely manipulate your rpm(sport) was the driving force behind competitive pvp, and hardcore let cars drift for days and was the most fun way to experience freedrive. For that reason as it stands now the original crew has way more enjoyable driving machanics. I honestly would not have pre ordered the crew 2 if I had known they were going to ruin the game this badly.
I prefer that it’s always online. It’s better. But that’s just my opinion. (Also I don’t know wether I’m going to buy it, as the first one I wasn’t too fond of)
I think always online isn’t bad if your internet is good. But if it’s slow it’s just really annoying. If games gave you the choice of playing online all the time or only when you want to, it would be more fun for more people.
Hello, i do not think the game will be online when your wifi is off, so if your wifi is off then people will not be in your lobby and you can just play by yourself with the AI's. I also was apart of the Crew 2 Closed Beta and it was a pretty fun game and i had no issues while playing the Closed Beta.
I got the beta and played it until I had enough money to buy the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster..It drives so well and even though I won't have the car when I buy the full game I'm still glad I paid so much for it in the beta because it was amazing. This is hands down one of the best racing games I've ever played or ever will play.
It is pretty amazing. But me having played closed alpha and now closed beta is enough, it's nothing I'll pay for since I still wouldn't have more than 50 hours probably. After a small time its not fun anymore, because the physics sucks and and get boring after a small while
They said PVP racing won't be available until December, so personally I would hold off buying The Crew 2 until then. However Forza Horizon 4 should be out in October, so The Crew 2 just might get passed up entirely. Disappointing considering I put in roughly 400 hours in The Crew before they started to destroy the ingame economy shortly before The Wild Run expansion dropped.

Something to address: Not all racing games should have customization, minimal is okay but if it's a sim racer then it would just not look good, for arcades and simcades it's okay. Minimal customization for sim racing is also okay but I wouldn't want to see a Rocket Bunny GT86 with a Mustang V8 engine and a huge ass blower on the Nords while I'm racing.

This game is so far from a sim racer. The physics are still nothing even close to something from the Forza series, it's kind of a mix between Forza and NFS.
Stop comparing open world games to GTA5. it gets anooying real fast. The Crew is a racing game at its core. Gta5 is a destructible do-it-all kind of game, and Watch dogs is basically a stealth shooter.
The only thing I didn’t like about the first crew is how retardedly hard it is to buy new vehicles. Acquiring good amounts of currency for the highly priced vehicles was ridiculously hard
You need to know there's barely any races. 6 drag races, 4 hypercar races. Most car classes have under 10 events each. That's not enough for one of the biggest game maps ever.

One thing i despise is that people in the crew ( that are randoms in matchmaking ) always attempt to race and wreck your car. Its irritating so i believe i will just save the money and complete my 500 car 1/18 Scale model diecast vehicles.
I love how this game is open world in America, and Forza created something I've been wanting in ages. The problem is and I understand the world progression and the constant updates that are based in the real world, you could always forfeit that and make the game in offline as well. I've got the internet, but it is slow and really, all games should have an offline mode because that was a problem with 2015's Need for Speed. Come on, where's the offline mode?
What 'issues' was it that let the first game down? as you didn't actually say. My only real complaint was that it was always online, but this has that also, which doesn't really have an excuse because other games such as Forza Horizon can be played offline and therefore the game has an infinite shelf life, unlike an online forced game. I also preferred the more grittier storyline in the first game, but now its just another generic 'festival', and while i like that there are different vehicle types in this game, i don't like that you can 'transform' into them at will, that to me is really tacky, it's pure science fiction.
Im playing the Beta and I can say its a big improvement over the original. To me personally the handling is still the same while driving but maybe its cause im used to Payback and Horizon physics. Still I look foward to this game. 👍
diddy266 that's true with this game. Racing games from over a decade ago have more events than this. Most car classes have under 10 events each. And some of the areas actually have effort put into them and no one will ever care as they won't be used.

Mirayuki I played it too The fastfav lags on console When you switch vehicles it take 1 to 3 seconds before the sound comes plus no vsync and it runs at like 720 or 960p on the ps4 at 24 to 30 fps
At the start of the video he mentions how theres things about the game he’s excited for, and some things that are concerning yet he never mentions anything at any point about any concerns. He just lists off details about the game.

They didn't fix the handling. I play a LOT of racing games. This is mainly an arcade-y racer with some slight adjusting by the player as far as vehicle parts go. But, they make no difference. All the cars handle like crap. They slide all over the place no matter what the car - no matter what the terrain - no matter what the conditions. You want a great racing game where the handling is somewhat realistic and can be tweaked WITH results? Try Forza Horizon and even DriveClub! They handle like cars.
Prabhjot Lidhar I'm not sure what fastfav is, but I remember in TC 1 swapping cars took 5 seconds every time, the mini-loading screens took the pleasure out of it for me.. So if by fastfav you mean changing from bike to plane, and it's as slow as the swap was in TC 1, I already know TC 2 won't be worth a buy because I'm entitled, spoiled and have zero attention span.
Theoctopus Thoughts I played the beta, there is no loading screen, you always stay in the work while swapping, but if you want to use a vehicle that is not favorited ( one vehicle per type) you have to go through the menu

This game is stupid and players should boycott it. The Crew was a good game on itself and Ubisoft/Ivory Tower ruined it. Instead of fixing lingering issues (blured mirrors anyone?) they introduced CASH ONLY cars on a PAY 2 PLAY game... Let that sink in for a while. They wanted you to pay REAL MONEY to get cars for a game you paid REAL MONEY to get. Yes, that happened on the first The Crew. But you know what? The first The Crew had a pretty decent, underground-like, story line. The word "crew" had meaning there. If Ivory Tower actually made Crews like the players wanted, Crews being guild-like teams that fought eachother for supremacy, people would still be playing The Crew. But nooooo.... After 2 major buy2play DLCs (which, let that sink in once more, did NOT give you access to cash only cars!), nothing like that ever happened. The game had three "factions" which all players just chose the same one and get the rewards no matter what. Good job U/IT... And instead of making The Crew the game it should have been, they made The Crew 2. A game which, inspite of it's name, has NOTHING TO DO WITH CREWS!!! Unless they mean "pit-crew", then yes. So, The Pit-Crew 2 has NO STORYLINE what-so-ever, has THE SAME MAP as the first game (I mean literal copy-paste stuff with some sprinkles of changes here and there) it has NO FAST TRAVEL to random points to the map (you either travel to an even or set a waypoint to where you want to go), it gives NO REASON to roam the open world (no "radars", no "hidden cars", no "unlock the map" like in The CREW) you just jump from one meaningless event to the other in order to gain "followers" to unlock more races and to face forced Rivalries ("See this guy? He thinks he's the best. But I know you're the best so go beat this guy, alright?" Yes, this is LITERALLY how rivalries work. On the first The Crew, your rival had framed you and killed your brother, so you search him to kill him.)... Heck, even the graphics are pretty much the same (especially after the Visual Upgrade IT did on The Crew). So, what does The Pit-Crew 2 offer? Races with airplanes and boats. With broken physics! I honestly struck a tree with the plane and the plane stood still for a moment until it got free from the tree then started flying again. HONESTLY! And all this starting from 60$... Seriously, DON'T buy this game. Just stay away from it.
Yeah... Been there, done that... I was part of the Closed Beta for The Crew, was very active at the forums, taking part on many discussions (among with many other users) with the Devs. Even bought the game "day one" because Ivory devs seemed to care about our thoughts and opinions. They didn't. Not only they disregarded most of our ideas, they wouldn't even implement simple fixes like removing the shacking of the steering wheel. They even went as far as claiming that all content would be available for currency you could get in-game (namely "cc" or "crew credits") but then they introduced cash only cars and paid DLCs... I saw someone write "IT didn't do a very good job with The Crew but at least they gave us a free graphics overhaul". Seeing the similarities of that graphic overhaul to The Crew 2 graphics, it now seems to me that even that was a pre-alpha test to The Crew 2. So no. Ivory Tower didn't care about what players said on their first game, they won't listen to them on the second. Realise that The Crew 2 "closed beta" was a DEMO, if they wanted players to "playtest" the game and find bugs to fix, they wouldn't have locked out content!! What if Drift racing is bugged? What if F1 racing is bugged? What if Xtreme Live is bugged? Anyone tried it? Anyone tested it? No. So yeah. I stand to my first comment. This game is stupid and people should boycott it.
yeah a ubisoft insider i talked to told me everything from TC1 to TC2 is technically updated........the graphics are 1% better the sounds are 1% better, but to fit all this new better stuff guess what they cut? oh right physics so TC2 has arcade physics approaching mario kart in terms of arcade feel and lunacy........

When I first bought Gran Tourismo on the PSX, I got ~1000 cars with that game and it cost me half the money Ubisoft asked me for The Crew. So yeah, you can milk your daddy's pouch as much as you want to buy all the digital goodies you like. Unlike you, I VALUE the money I make and don't spend it on stupid stuff. They could make the game free2play with the CURRENT microtransactions and they'd STILL make a profit. Heck, they'd make even more money if they released it f2p than this sh*t.

With Forza and NFS I can play whenever I wanted. When the Crew 2 comes out, I will be paying for a game I can't even play because my internet is complete garbage.

Except that the devs have showed the customization in detail. Theres an in-depth livery editor for all vehicles, all cars have similar customization to The Crew 1 in terms of cosmetic parts. Perfomance updates get dropped after races and you can crossfit them to different vehicles of the same class. Slightly similar to the system in Crew 1, but greatly improved in my opinion
Firri April I’d like to correct you on that. The only performance parts you can use across each vehicle type are the ones you win from skill challenges. The ones you win from races are restricted to the vehicle you used for the said race far as i know.

After having some time with the closed beta I can say that the game is ridiculously fun, from flying in formations with groups giving out smoke trails in planes to driving across America the game is great for any fan of vehicles and driving however the constantly online feature lets it down, I would still recommend buying however.
I love huge open world games. I’m more of a scenery type of guy so I might just consider buying this game for the heck of exploring lol

Do NOT buy this game. Maybe on sale if you have friends to join and mess around. The physics will most likely be the same or worse, rubber band AI, weird reward system for upgrades, major cities and landmarks with a whole lot of nothing in between, traffic that you can hit full speed, you get a scratch on your car and the traffic car continues on its route.
I get it’s an arcade game but damn, nothing is realistic. It’s good for enjoying scenery with friends and that’s all I’m giving it. So much potential and they throw it away with a quick release without working on all the bad. Sorry Ubisoft, you don’t have my trust to buy this one.

AgarTron I watched every bit of ever closed beta recorded. I can see all physics have not been improved at all, even worse with switching vehicle types on the go, and they did not fix the AI rubber band at all. Same with the nothingness between cities. I literally saw no fixes besides graphics. I WANT this game to be good, but the rubber band and horrible physics drew me away from the first.
I even recorded rubber banding at its finest, I had a massive lead since the AI crashed, then out of no where going 100+ on the highway, 2nd place spawned in front of me. Then took me forever to catch up till the final stretch then he seemed to slow down to basically stop so I can pass. It’s things like that, that literally ruin a game.
i can confirm what +Adam Hanneman is saying, when i asked a ubisoft employee to tell me the physics changes from TC1 to TC2, he told me they downgraded the physics because consoles 1st they sell the most right, so to improve the graphics and have a slightly more detailed map with somewhat better sounds etc etc they needed to cut something, so the physics were mostly cut
that physics cut was caused directly by the current gen console CPU, which is 2x amd athalon low power lappy processors stuck together at 1.8ghz base clock in day 1 xb1 and ps4, and then a scorching 2.23ghz in the xb1x and ps4pro.......
but the fanboys can only see graphics lol
meanwhile my old 3570k was at 4.84ghz daily OC for 5+ years and now i'm with a 6700k 4.6ghz probably 5+ more years, so i laugh at this gen of consoles

5. Always Online means you won't be able to play at all if there's an outage in your area.
4. If you like the multiplayer you might be disappointed to know that there is a limit to 4 players per crew and only 8 players per session.
3. While the physics are a step-up, a lot of vehicles feel like the engine is in the back of the car, which can cause unpleasant oversteering. The gravity is also very poorly designed and cars are almost sucked to the ground like some kind of vacuum after jumps.

The progression system is a bit too rewarding and you can max out your vehicles far too quickly and share the highest tier components accross vehicles of the same class, meaning there isn't much of an incentive to play all of the content as you will already be maxed out too early and won't be rewarded further. (Except for special vehicles).
1. There isn't a lot of physical customization, and there aren't a massive selection of vehicles compared to other racing games. Theres a huge variety in vehicle types, but only a small variety of vehicles within each category, especially planes and boats.
Primal 6 it's a limited time game that will eventually be dead someday. Seeing that it is always online no going back to play it in the far future.

I think the biggest barrier for you might be the online only part. Hopefully it's a good game, because it's got a lot of potential. Physics can be customized a bit but can sometimes feel back-heavy, aside that though there isn't anything that detrimental other than the gravity being annoying.

Also, when we found a parts crate, the first time it was there for both of us, but every time after that it was there for 1 person, but not the other. And the first crate for me was a green and it was a purple for him.

here my main points
pros: vehicle choices, vehicle physics, better and deeper vehicle customization, FREE DLC's, variety of racing/ stunt disciplines, big map, decent graphics and great performance on weak systems.
cons: wall riding abuse, lack of an area where people can meet and 'hang out' online, slow and clunky menues, weird and stupid checkpoint bollards, unlogic car pricing ( pagani zonda F costing more than zonda R? It makes sense because you have access to the Zonda R discipline sooner than the Zonda F Discipline but its still weird), lack of side roads (it feel like youre forced to stick to motorways 80% of the time if you want to go for fun roadtrips), kind of pointless loot crates scattered around the map, weird upgrade system
All in all i think this game will be great for casual players, especially if youre looking for something to fool around in with your friends while also having an extensive campaign aspect. However for more hard core the crew fans this game could turn out to be a dissapointment if glitches and bugs like wall riding ruin the competitive aspect too much. I feel like the crew 2 ( i think its a new developer team) has some aspect which are worse than in the crew1. It takes longer to navigate through the menues and map and it takes longer to enter your HQ which is super annoying. after every event theres this mini cutscene with an annoying guitar riff which just takes unnecessarily long and part farming is something which will be a huge part of this game which i am no fan off.
However most negative points seem to be easily fixable and nothing major and shouldnt massively impede the overall gaming experience. If I were you I would wait for a few weeks after release to see what the general feedback is on the game before buying.

This is what I do not understand, last year our internet went down for a day and I still played the crew by myself. Nothing was different other than the fact there was no one else in the game besides me, but it was still 100% playable. So idk?
The game has no multiplayer lobby or PvP mode at the launch, its like you can play single player or just invite your friends which is not worth for a huge price tag and you need a constant internet for a single player game is a big problem here.

The number one thing any previous the crew player should know is that there are no sport or hardcore driving options. No half way decient player would play with all driving help on in the original crew, and now it's locked as the default and only. Being able to freely manipulate your rpm(sport) was the driving force behind competitive pvp, and hardcore let cars drift for days and was the most fun way to experience freedrive. For that reason as it stands now the original crew has way more enjoyable driving machanics. I honestly would not have pre ordered the crew 2 if I had known they were going to ruin the game this badly.
I prefer that it’s always online. It’s better. But that’s just my opinion. (Also I don’t know wether I’m going to buy it, as the first one I wasn’t too fond of)
I think always online isn’t bad if your internet is good. But if it’s slow it’s just really annoying. If games gave you the choice of playing online all the time or only when you want to, it would be more fun for more people.

Hello, i do not think the game will be online when your wifi is off, so if your wifi is off then people will not be in your lobby and you can just play by yourself with the AI's. I also was apart of the Crew 2 Closed Beta and it was a pretty fun game and i had no issues while playing the Closed Beta.

I got the beta and played it until I had enough money to buy the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster..It drives so well and even though I won't have the car when I buy the full game I'm still glad I paid so much for it in the beta because it was amazing. This is hands down one of the best racing games I've ever played or ever will play.
It is pretty amazing. But me having played closed alpha and now closed beta is enough, it's nothing I'll pay for since I still wouldn't have more than 50 hours probably. After a small time its not fun anymore, because the physics sucks and and get boring after a small while

They said PVP racing won't be available until December, so personally I would hold off buying The Crew 2 until then. However Forza Horizon 4 should be out in October, so The Crew 2 just might get passed up entirely. Disappointing considering I put in roughly 400 hours in The Crew before they started to destroy the ingame economy shortly before The Wild Run expansion dropped.

Not all racing games should have customization, minimal is okay but if it's a sim racer then it would just not look good, for arcades and simcades it's okay. Minimal customization for sim racing is also okay but I wouldn't want to see a Rocket Bunny GT86 with a Mustang V8 engine and a huge ass blower on the Nords while I'm racing.

You need to know there's barely any races. 6 drag races, 4 hypercar races. Most car classes have under 10 events each. That's not enough for one of the biggest game maps ever.

I love how this game is open world in America, and Forza created something I've been wanting in ages. The problem is and I understand the world progression and the constant updates that are based in the real world, you could always forfeit that and make the game in offline as well. I've got the internet, but it is slow and really, all games should have an offline mode because that was a problem with 2015's Need for Speed. Come on, where's the offline mode?

What 'issues' was it that let the first game down? as you didn't actually say. My only real complaint was that it was always online, but this has that also, which doesn't really have an excuse because other games such as Forza Horizon can be played offline and therefore the game has an infinite shelf life, unlike an online forced game.
I also preferred the more grittier storyline in the first game, but now its just another generic 'festival', and while i like that there are different vehicle types in this game, i don't like that you can 'transform' into them at will, that to me is really tacky, it's pure science fiction.
If theres no Offline mode, this game will fail the same way as the first one .

When you switch vehicles it take 1 to 3 seconds before the sound comes plus no vsync and it runs at like 720 or 960p on the ps4 at 24 to 30 fps

They didn't fix the handling. I play a LOT of racing games. This is mainly an arcade-y racer with some slight adjusting by the player as far as vehicle parts go. But, they make no difference. All the cars handle like crap. They slide all over the place no matter what the car - no matter what the terrain - no matter what the conditions. You want a great racing game where the handling is somewhat realistic and can be tweaked WITH results? Try Forza Horizon and even DriveClub! They handle like cars.

I'm not sure what fastfav is, but I remember in TC 1 swapping cars took 5 seconds every time, the mini-loading screens took the pleasure out of it for me..
So if by fastfav you mean changing from bike to plane, and it's as slow as the swap was in TC 1, I already know TC 2 won't be worth a buy because I'm entitled, spoiled and have zero attention span.
Theoctopus Thoughts I played the beta, there is no loading screen, you always stay in the work while swapping, but if you want to use a vehicle that is not favorited ( one vehicle per type) you have to go through the menu
You forgot the most important thing: The Physics, they aren’t very great, but they’re a lot better than need for speed’s ones. But not even close to the physics of forza.
This game is stupid and players should boycott it. The Crew was a good game on itself and Ubisoft/Ivory Tower ruined it. Instead of fixing lingering issues (blured mirrors anyone?) they introduced CASH ONLY cars on a PAY 2 PLAY game... Let that sink in for a while. They wanted you to pay REAL MONEY to get cars for a game you paid REAL MONEY to get. Yes, that happened on the first The Crew.
But you know what? The first The Crew had a pretty decent, underground-like, story line. The word "crew" had meaning there. If Ivory Tower actually made Crews like the players wanted, Crews being guild-like teams that fought eachother for supremacy, people would still be playing The Crew. But nooooo.... After 2 major buy2play DLCs (which, let that sink in once more, did NOT give you access to cash only cars!), nothing like that ever happened. The game had three "factions" which all players just chose the same one and get the rewards no matter what. Good job U/IT...
And instead of making The Crew the game it should have been, they made The Crew 2. A game which, inspite of it's name, has NOTHING TO DO WITH CREWS!!! Unless they mean "pit-crew", then yes. So, The Pit-Crew 2 has NO STORYLINE what-so-ever, has THE SAME MAP as the first game (I mean literal copy-paste stuff with some sprinkles of changes here and there) it has NO FAST TRAVEL to random points to the map (you either travel to an even or set a waypoint to where you want to go), it gives NO REASON to roam the open world (no "radars", no "hidden cars", no "unlock the map" like in The CREW) you just jump from one meaningless event to the other in order to gain "followers" to unlock more races and to face forced Rivalries ("See this guy? He thinks he's the best. But I know you're the best so go beat this guy, alright?" Yes, this is LITERALLY how rivalries work. On the first The Crew, your rival had framed you and killed your brother, so you search him to kill him.)... Heck, even the graphics are pretty much the same (especially after the Visual Upgrade IT did on The Crew).
So, what does The Pit-Crew 2 offer? Races with airplanes and boats. With broken physics! I honestly struck a tree with the plane and the plane stood still for a moment until it got free from the tree then started flying again. HONESTLY!
And all this starting from 60$...
Seriously, DON'T buy this game. Just stay away from it.

Yeah... Been there, done that... I was part of the Closed Beta for The Crew, was very active at the forums, taking part on many discussions (among with many other users) with the Devs. Even bought the game "day one" because Ivory devs seemed to care about our thoughts and opinions. They didn't. Not only they disregarded most of our ideas, they wouldn't even implement simple fixes like removing the shacking of the steering wheel. They even went as far as claiming that all content would be available for currency you could get in-game (namely "cc" or "crew credits") but then they introduced cash only cars and paid DLCs...
I saw someone write "IT didn't do a very good job with The Crew but at least they gave us a free graphics overhaul". Seeing the similarities of that graphic overhaul to The Crew 2 graphics, it now seems to me that even that was a pre-alpha test to The Crew 2.
So no. Ivory Tower didn't care about what players said on their first game, they won't listen to them on the second. Realise that The Crew 2 "closed beta" was a DEMO, if they wanted players to "playtest" the game and find bugs to fix, they wouldn't have locked out content!! What if Drift racing is bugged? What if F1 racing is bugged? What if Xtreme Live is bugged? Anyone tried it? Anyone tested it? No.
So yeah. I stand to my first comment. This game is stupid and people should boycott it.
yeah a ubisoft insider i talked to told me everything from TC1 to TC2 is technically updated........the graphics are 1% better the sounds are 1% better, but to fit all this new better stuff guess what they cut? oh right physics
so TC2 has arcade physics approaching mario kart in terms of arcade feel and lunacy........

I DO have a job and that's the REASON I dislike having to pay MORE money for something that I supposedly already payed ALREADY! When I first bought Gran Tourismo on the PSX, I got ~1000 cars with that game and it cost me half the money Ubisoft asked me for The Crew.
So yeah, you can milk your daddy's pouch as much as you want to buy all the digital goodies you like. Unlike you, I VALUE the money I make and don't spend it on stupid stuff. They could make the game free2play with the CURRENT microtransactions and they'd STILL make a profit. Heck, they'd make even more money if they released it f2p than this sh*t.

BAZZDROP Not really. Lots of people who love racing games have no internet or inconsistent connections. This makes it so we can only play at certain times. With Forza and NFS I can play whenever I wanted. When the Crew 2 comes out, I will be paying for a game I can't even play because my internet is complete garbage.
If you think this game will crush Forza Horizon series in terms of quality then you are mad.
