This really shows that the rhythm heaven modding community is absolutely thriving, all thanks to the hard-working people like yourself and many others. Excellent port and I can't wait to see many more of these awesome projects in the future.
this mod is genuinely one of the best ive seen so far, it looks straight out of megamix (and the camera zoom was the thing the original game was missing) great work to everyone involved!!
insane shit, we really went from adding skins for citra only to whole endless games with descriptions and training. real proud of y’all’s prowess when it comes to nintendo modding. from a romhacker to another, kudos!!
We are still at a point where they have to replace original games, though… I could only imagine what would happen once it gets to Smash's current level of modding (like Project+, Smash Remix, and The Akaneia Build), where newly developed characters, stages and music are implemented without the need to replace anything pre-existing.
@@ARandomMinecraftVillager I'm pretty sure we're not at that point with smash 4 and on, but brawl and everything before we can absolutely add characters and stages without replacing. Pretty sure all the mods they listed are for brawl and melee as well
this is how they should have localized it in fever! it explains what it is to unfamiliar audiences and doesn't feel forced at all, no idea why they just didn't try to do it at all
@albireo2990 In the localisation of Rhythm Heaven Fever, Manzai Birds was replaced by another game, I believe Mr. Upbeat. I don't know if it's from an official source, but the most popular explanation is that the joke/meaning of this game would not be understood in other languages. Making fun of this explanation is very popular.
@albireo2990 The original comment says second *item* not line, if you're trying to decipher the first item for the joke. "We're not so great at performing in English" pokes fun well enough, I'd say. They aren't good at performing in English, so their show never succeeded out of Japan. And that they can't think of good jokes in English, fitting the whole translation issue.
i really like how consistent these are with other endless games. None of the mods that i have seen have matched to this level of quality and consistency. Great job!
Thank you so much to everybody involved in the mod!! It's hard to believe this is still my first full port... I am so grateful for everybody's kind words so far, it makes me so happy to see everybody enjoying this mod!! (Btw, we're fixing bugs constantly, remember to check the video description to see if you have the latest version!)
This mod is perfect, because it both somewhat explains what Manzai is, doesn't have to go in depth, and english speaking audiences can pick up on context if they're still confused. Perfect localization!
OH MY GOD I THOUGHT THIS DAY WOULD NEVER COME i've always wanted this in megamix, so the fact this this is REAL is AMAZING!!! I haven’t had much love for Rhythm Heaven for a while but damn is this good. I’m proud of everyone on the team. Back when I was in the fandom (2018-2019) we only dreamed of having Manzai in Megamix lol.
Massive props for making this. This must’ve been a nightmare to program That said, I really wish they imported this into the US. There are so many English puns that could’ve been used in Manzai, and this was a missed opportunity of Nintendo.
this is honestly really amazing. i hope megamix modding becomes even less limited one day and we get to play almost every rhythm game. but that's just wishful thinking. Good work here!
English is a very (pun)ny lenguaje I can't image they couldn't find pun jokes to rhyme, altough culturally the banzai comedy aspect is still hard to present, but even then there are already other japanese based mini-games
@@dexiedoo_octo I love it because it lines up with all the other practice themes in Fever. I would even try to mod it in the Wii original so that it stays accurate to the other practice music. Honestly, you did a great job with it.
I would love if this was the wii endless game instead. It would have been a great way for international players to experience it, like all of the gba games in megamix.
Considering we don’t know what the little crow is saying when he insults the big bird, I like to imagine he’s screaming incredibly violent and insensitive cuss words.
unfortunately the icons used are hardcoded by the game. And due to how score saving works (and various other reasons) we had no other choice than to use sick beats for this particular mod.
I have successfully installed this but I have no tutorial, or no "2nd gate" on my 100% save. Is something wrong with my patching or is it intended? I can only play the game in the museum but it's "one mistake and you are out". P hard to learn there
I just figured out how to add the patch into my modded 2DS, it works like it is so official. Though a bit of a bummer that the play game part shows a GBA and not a Wii. It also stinks it overwrites over sick beats. It should’ve overwritten over clap trap. That would make so much more sense and I’ll take this over clap trap any day of the week.
I know this is a lot to ask for but, does it work with 3d or are all the celanims in a single level? Also, what would happen with the sick beats part in final remix?
two questions does this have a 3d effect like the other games? does this replace ringside fever in any remixes, or just this area? (been awhile since i played this)
1. the 3D effect is present but it's not exactly perfect 2. this does not replace any game in any remixes (also this port use sumo bros not ringside lol)

So what happens in the final remix when sick beats is supposed to pop up
I get that they're not going to revoice the entire thing but it's still weird that they didn't translate the speech bubbles
To me it’s fine since it fits with the whole Japanese cultural influence thing.

Does anyone have any idea how the practice theme was made? I mean, is there a soundfont or anything?
it's the soundfont from rhythm heaven fever's lady cupid music

i translated the Japanese cuz why not
