I suspected this would become a problem when I saw how many shrimps you added. I have a nano anenome tank, and what I have learned is that when an anenome hosts another animal it annoys the anenome, but they get used to it. Wether it is a fin, shrimp or crab legs it makes the anenome flinch. Which isn't a problem when it happens only a few times a day or only from 1 animal but it seems to me they are having group meetings on top your RBTA. More anenomes or less shrimp would be my solution.
For that tank, I like the idea of a couple of porcelain crabs. But if you decide on going with clowns, maybe look into clark's anemone fish (Amphiprion Clarkii) or South African Clownfish/Blue Stripe Clownfish, [Amphiprion allardi] if you end up liking these, try to get a pair of very young ones. That's my suggestion. :)
Great video brother. I live in Orlando it was that tank at Sea World that peaked my intrest in Reefing. Appreciate you showing it. Hope you're having a great day sir!
I've checked misled. ...my sexy shrimp went for my torch and hammer coral tips, they pulled out all tissue out of the polyps, after that they started to munch on zoas and made their way to my bubble tip anemone, they never stop. They will destroy any coral they feell like eating, they can only be kept in leather corals system as they don't like their mucus. What ever everyone says I kicked all mine out and funny enough my torches, hammers and duncans are growing back!
Good to hear from your experience, I will keep an eye out! I definitely think at least one of the shrimp developed a taste for the hammer that I moved out of this system (doing well in the 45g now), the other ones are somewhat "behaving" so far... except bugging the RBTA
The anemone crab won’t force the shrimps out - it’ll irritate the anemone more. I added two and they drove my rbtas nuts for two weeks until they got used to it. Bit with the shrimps it’ll just be too much.
Black storm is so cool it looks like a cow you should get one of those but then it wouldn’t be a budget reef tank as it would cost way more then everything else combined in your tank
One of the melevs reef RUclips videos, Marc had mentioned that the nems probably split when nitrates are high (split to have duplicates in case one dies). Not sure how high the nitrates are for the "appropriate reefer" new tank.
Hey, another great video! I just had a question, are you planning on having SPS in the 150, and if so, any acros? I want to get into SPS on my nano, and it would be really cool to see you do SPS! Thanks!
Plus I'm pretty sure my sexy shrimp eat the mucus off my anenomes, I always see them picking but never see any I'll effects. Again too many hands cleaning the anenome will be a bad thing. And I don't think feeding the problem away will work in the end. Algea aside it seems like your training your shrimp to do what you don't want. "When we dance on this squishy thing we get flakes from the heavens!"
I would pair the sexy shrimp with the maxi mini carpets. Mine hosted one and in no way was it affected. I believe in the wild they are a natural host for the shrimp. Now for my bubble tip, I have Mccullochi Clowns hosting it.
I would not discount this as a possibility! The only thing that sways me towards the shrimps is that for months (if we look back at older videos), the RBTA had been fully open and stayed put, until the new group of shrimps were introduced. Although I agree this is still a possibility though.
@@InappropriateReefer these shrimp will tear up corals especially porcillapora. Watched this happen twice first hand. Throw a piece in and they may focus in it instead of nem for a while.
Come to Western Australia in Perth and check out AQUA which I would say is way better then sea world also when is Sally upgrading her tank like you said she had to get a specific number of followers for her to upgrade...well she passed the amount you said and now it’s been like months and yet you still haven’t upgraded it!!!!
I have owned sexy shrimp and refuse to add any to my tank again. They love munching on porcillapora and other corals. This has happened twice. I watched as my happy corals suddenly start loosing polyps then skin after adding this shrimp catching them in the act. I. Was shocked the first time I saw one reach into the SPS and rip a polyp out. The SPS recovered after removal.
Hi. Thank you for this video. Just want to know if your friend Alex was using or dosing the Amino Acid Concentrate to help or for the Anemones? Or for the whole tank setup or for both? Thanks in advance.
I’m new to this whole saltwater tank world. I’m actually waiting on my tank to be delivered and would you recommend a bubble tip anemone for a beginner?
@@InappropriateReefer Maybe to simulate some kind of response from them to split idk. I have no clue, then again if the heater fails atleast it won't cook the tank too long if lucky XD.
I think it depends on how sensitive your skin is and how potent the sting is.. I used to be able to bare hand my large RBTA, but these days it stings the heck out of me if my arm brushes up against the tentacles.
Sexy shrimp are little sods in my experience with them. Hosting and picking at my maxi mini anemone, and eating polyps from my purple stylo. They had to come out.

Black storms! If I could posts pics I would definitely show you how amazing these little cows look!
Temp not constant? Thats why they are splitting. Doing changes to the water will help make them split from the stress.
Cool rbta tank. I used to have over 40 rbta in my old tank they just kept splitting. Now I only have 7 in my 29 bio cube.
Cool video

I’ve just completed my aqua clear set-up that I watched on your channel working lovely thanks dude!
Awesome to hear man!

Maybe in a few years you will have a 150 gallon tank in your house? Lol
LOL!! Technically it is already in the house.................
6:13 Well they said it fair and square, Dory is real
Black storm is so cool it looks like a cow you should get one of those but then it wouldn’t be a budget reef tank as it would cost way more then everything else combined in your tank
Unless... I put some more expensive corals in there, lol
Black storms are awesome
defenitly get a wyoming white clownfish there my fav type and my dream clownfish i have 1 in my 10 gallon and will be getting a 2nd one next month

Black Storm for sure
Get the black storm!!!
I think a photon clown would be cool!
Premium Gladiator or Black Ice Snowflake! Don't see many on youtube
Black Storm ! 🙌🏻 Good job Bro, from 🇧🇷

Definitely plan to have SPS in the 150! I’m slowly experimenting with more SPS in the 45g as well to get my feet wet. Acro is absolutely on the list 👍
@@InappropriateReefer cool thanks! Can't wait to see the 150 come together!
I think go for a regular orange "Nemo" clown. It's a budget build lol
I love you channel! I too have a reef tank and looking into uploading more. What camera or cameras do you use for you tank?
That SeaWorld reef! :D

Good point sir! Will be adding some Rock Flower Anemones and less God of Hand, lol!!
Does your friend Alex run a skimmer or filter? Dose anything else carbon or gfo?
I would pair the sexy shrimp with the maxi mini carpets. Mine hosted one and in no way was it affected. I believe in the wild they are a natural host for the shrimp. Now for my bubble tip, I have Mccullochi Clowns hosting it.
Thanks for the tip! MightyNanoTank hooked me up with one of his Rock Flower Nem, but so far the shrimps are ignoring it!
Don’t think the shrimp are causing the nem to stay un happy. The nano is a new tank and parameters are probably fluctuating
Yup I think so too. It's not without reason that guidelines say anemones need mature tanks.
he is the Inappropriate reefer after all!!
I would not discount this as a possibility! The only thing that sways me towards the shrimps is that for months (if we look back at older videos), the RBTA had been fully open and stayed put, until the new group of shrimps were introduced. Although I agree this is still a possibility though.
Inappropriate Reefer That is true but nems are weird. Hopefully it bounces back

Put a rock flower for the shrimp
Hi. Thank you for this video. Just want to know if your friend Alex was using or dosing the Amino Acid Concentrate to help or for the Anemones? Or for the whole tank setup or for both? Thanks in advance.
Maybe the shrimp got a taste nem slime? So Alex keeps the tank at room temp?
I am guessing so! Yeah it sounds like Alex keeps his tank around room temp at night
very cool vids keep the good job up
How frequently your friend does his water change?
I had the same problem until I added a maxi mini anemone.
Just added one, waiting for the shrimps to move in!!
My cleaner shrimp eats the waste of and also feeds my BTA.
What and how often are you feeding the nems? Thanks!
are you worried about the BTA killing your other coral in the tank?
Yes, although I figure I could move the corals if the RBTA starts getting close!
what about a sort of "budget" morph to go along with the theme of the whole tank. I'd suggest a snowflake or a darwin
Regular clownfish are the best clownfish
Dude... Where the hell is our yasha goby update???
On my Instagram! @inappropriatereefer
Nice video enjoyed watching :)
I wonder how much two part they dose 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I’m new to this whole saltwater tank world. I’m actually waiting on my tank to be delivered and would you recommend a bubble tip anemone for a beginner?
Black storm!!!
good
Nice reef tank at sea world but I still wouldn’t go locking up an animal that uses sonar in a box of water is wrong great video
Great vid 👌 but why the fuck is there a yellow tang in this small small Anemone Tank? This fish looks so beat up 😢
Why would you put your heater on a timer?
Not sure but that may be his secret sauce...
@@InappropriateReefer Maybe to simulate some kind of response from them to split idk. I have no clue, then again if the heater fails atleast it won't cook the tank too long if lucky XD.
Millenium Falcón ♥️
Man with good taste! 👍
Does he sell the Anemones locally?
He does, shoot me an email at inappropriatereefer@gmail.com and I can connect you guys
My sexy shrimp have been pestering my rock flower since I got it. It's a bummer
Black Storm or Mocha Storm Clownfish
Didn't know you could grab one with your hand. I thought they'd sting the hell out of you.
I think it depends on how sensitive your skin is and how potent the sting is.. I used to be able to bare hand my large RBTA, but these days it stings the heck out of me if my arm brushes up against the tentacles.
Hay man what led lights are on the 10g ?
That's the AquaKnight A029: amzn.to/2CCp7TV
Do you think they can work with sps?
@@insane_reefer3719 Testing now, so far the Monti Cap seems happy and growing under the light, but it's pretty low demanding SPS

My BTA used to look great, then my clowns started hosting it and now it looks horrible :(
Get a black storm clown fish
I would advise Not to put the flake food on the anemone because the shrimp might just learn a unfavorable behavior for "acquiring" food.
That's actually an interesting concern... 👍
When my Yuma has a chemical warfare with my bounces and killed a $3,000 WWC bounce my high end nem split into 3
Yikes, sorry about the Bounce but it sounds like the nem split may have made up for it
Any body kept count of the time he said rbta instead of just anemone
🔥👊👍
Davinci.
Black storm or helmet picasso!
Brian's Aquariums and Pets yeah man the black storms are sweeeet.
get a new mochi !!!! put him in your mini complete tank lol
I was tempted, saw a few baby Frogfish! But not sure if I am ready to set up another specie only tank... too many tanks already 🤔
Inappropriate Reefer yeah but for the viewers and heyyy you are...... THE inappropriate reefer 😂
16th..
1 longfin Blackstorm clown
Sexy shrimp are not reef safe ☹
Hi I'm a speech teacher would you consider taking some lessons on learning how to properly speak English
Absolutely, although timing may be a bit tight until after May for me. Could you email me at inappropriatereefer@gmail.com so I could learn more?
