    What's your perfect MMO?

For me it's that MMO's tend to do one or a few things good but then either miss or neglect other things, making them bad.
For example, BDO and Lost Ark has great combat but screws up with having an incredibly off-putting UI/amount of bad systems outside of combat.
Just a very basic example, but I hope it explains what I'm talking about.

That makes perfect sense. I always choose the lesser evil, because none of the modern MMOs really hit the mark.
Btw. both games you listed are Korean. Have you thought about that common denominator? I reflected a bit and realised that NC Soft games are no longer for me. Their design patterns lean heavily towards P2W, treadmilling, and SFX epilepsy. None of the things that I like.

@@bybsie That's a fair conclusion, yeah. Asian multiplayer games in general are often bloated with UI and systems, and I can imagine selling shortcuts being one of the reasons. So that the player wants to pay to "ease up" on it all.
I can't think of a single MMO today that hits all my marks.

You kind of subjected that poll in your own favor. It's more like 50/50 when you include the responses that enjoy both forms of content. 2k responses and about 1k per each side of PVP or PVE.

First of all, thanks so much for watching! 😊
I’ve thought about this quite a bit because I really want to be fair. Here's why I think I'm right:
The Both category received 701 votes. If we assume those voters value PvE and PvP equally, then each vote in that category can be split 50/50 between PvE and PvP. That means 701 votes would contribute 350.5 to PvE and 350.5 to PvP.
When we add those half-votes to the PvE and PvP categories, we get:
      PvE: 1,100 + 350.5 = 1,450.5 votes
      PvP: 238 + 350.5 = 588.5 votes
From there, we calculate the percentages out of the total 2,000 votes:
      PvE: 1,450.5 / 2,000 = 72.5%
      PvP: 588.5 / 2,000 = 27.4%
So the proportions don’t really change when you include the Both votes evenly, as the split adds equally to both PvE and PvP.
Unless my logic is broken? 😅

@@bybsie I apologize for over-simplifying the calculation to a 50/50 split in my initial response. Splitting the "Both" category votes equally is a fair method:
      PvE: 1,100 (original) + 350.5 (from Both) = 1,450.5 votes
      PvP: 238 (original) + 350.5 (from Both) = 588.5 votes
Calculating with the total votes of 2,039:
      PvE: 71.14%
      PvP: 28.86%
While your logic isn't necessarily flawed, the numbers here are just too small for a relevant determination of what the global MMO community wants but does lean in favor of your opinions.

Sea of Thieves (pve mode), Elite Dangerous, Helldivers 2 but that is MMO's only.
If it comes to RPG's then GW2 and FFIV is clearly the reddit pick. I struggle to find mine, had lots of fun in TAL but then pvp is fully eaten by whales and I can guarantee it will be the same with any other NC Soft game.
AOC may be fun, in 2-3 years once they optimise the game and get rid of that 100$ alpha test phase. At the moment imo it is not worth it. Bugs, empty lands, poor optimisation, poor quality of the game.
Tried Brightershores but oh gosh.. I just can't.. slow and boring.
