Beyond anything, I HATE quests, being forced through a story with no skip and I can't just run around and kill stuff and die to some random trap, I found some mobile games that are so hype and amazing that let you try to fight level 200 monsters even if you're level 1, I really appreciate games like that and even more so to those that do not power creep as higher level so that a god level 1 can kill a noob level 100, the selection is nice minus the haircuts but the races and classes seem cool, but it does seem alright during quests and fighting of the chickens and deer are cool
@ In everquest they could provide mana recharge buffs for teammates, could charm enemies and use them as a summon and had spells to change their race for like an hour so you can go in hostile cities. All around very fun to play, but they require groups not solo play
16:27 they did it that way so you understand how to get your spells late. so when you level and get your next level spells you know you need to click on them in inv to learn them. if you just started with the abils ready to go, you may not realize yiu have to click on your new abilities in your inv.
Just trying to remember what it was like in Lineage 2 (2001). You had to buy spell books to learn new skills for sure. But I don't think the game started with any spell books in your bag. Instead you had 1-2 spells in your skill bar and then figured out the rest. Not saying it's good either, but the Pantheon system was unexpected to me.
LOL loved this. I lived in Poland for a few years and just started playing this a couple weeks ago so it was entertaining listening and watching you play and curse in Polish! hehe
If its anything like the game it was based on (Everquest) then the capitalization arent random. Rare, unique or boss mobs tend to use a Capital first letter to let you know they are rare. Everquest even differentiated by using a capital 'A' rather than an 'a', for example: An orc vs an orc. its about the detail rather than just handing you everything on a platter.
Weird design choice, imho. It's not about anything being handed on a platter. The job here is to communicate with the player - whether that's a mob rarity or difficulty. As such, I think there more interesting ways to achieve that other than the font capitalisation. I appreciate the old school vibes, but man, let's draw a line somewhere, shall we?
@@bybsie Fair call. But it does lead to that jolt of excitement or curiosity when you're running through some zone and catch a glimpse of a mob with a capitalized letter in their name. Often leads to a detour in some vain effort to kill something thats twice as strong as anything around it.
This game is awesome. I met more people that I play every day with then 20 years in WOW combine. Everyone in WOW is like a bot to me. Use them and lose them. In EQ, and now in Pantheon, you need to make friends.
At some point you do for sure. I managed solo until level 6 with just a few global chat messages. But I believe circa level 10 you got to group up. I'm actually looking forward to it, assuming searching for a group doesn't take 2 hours. I ain't got time for this.
So I heard. I'm level 5 at the moment. Slowly getting there. I'll report back! 🫡 To be fair, even as a solo player, I've been having a lot of fun after I got a hold of what's going on.
Group play is not everything some people like to solo farm 6 man groups are boring.. lvl 7-10 I farmed group thugs solo. Now I'm doing stalkers to lvl 12 so far exp is nice paladin life is the way
Yeah, I don't even know what to call it. When is it alpha, when is it beta, or early access. Feels like same shit different toilet. One of the viewers on the stream said it didn't look ready for an early access. It kinda tracks with that you said.
@bybsie I think most people are used to Early Access meaning a mostly fleshed out game where you're getting in before a couple features. This game is so Early because they want to make a game the players want. The main developer streams a few days a week where he shows what he's working on takes feedback and has many times changed things on the spot due to people's input.
Who else haven't played EverQuest?

I'm playing enchanter when I get this game, I played one back in everquest and they were super fun to group with
Definitely let me know how it goes! Sounds amazing. I'm way too invested in the summoner to afford a reroll :D

I do have to say adding equipment to your summons is like the dream of any summoner class
Haha it is, makes me happy every time :D

@bybsie i totally getting it. Isaw someone ask Joppa (main guy making the game) and he explained it kind of how I did.
@ I love how active with the community they are. One of the reason I chose to support the game. We need game studios like this!
@@bybsie Yeah i love the dev team and the game itself is great. obviously work to be done, but that's what you expect from early early access
loved this video, subbing to hopefully watch you play this more.
Thanks, man! Sure, more is coming :)

it was a little rough getting start for me as well,. but once you get into the game it's amazing
My pleasure kurwa 😉
usually in these old games enemies with capital names are important, rare spawns or drop something unique
lol I genuinely didn't know that, the more you know!

First thought 2 minutes in... If you aren't doing group play that begins around group 6, you haven't really understood the fun in. this game.

Thanks for stopping by :D
This game is super early access.

The developer said the capitalization is intentional
Ouch that hurts
iam lvl 8, game is very poor, i dont think worth 40 euros as it is right now, i hope they will do something better with that money they getting
Sure! It has its charm, imho. But lots of work ahead. Make sure to drop your feedback in their Discord!
